It could come down to finger dexterity as well. I always played console growing up but loved wow and it was one of the only games I played on pc. Because of this I wasn’t mechanically good with keybinds so having a hybrid layout of a few important spells on close keybinds and clicking others that would be an uncomfortable stretch for my hand made sense to me. I always hovered around 2300 in cata as a holy pally doing clicks and keybind setup.
You NEED to do a new series basically training this guy. Teach him binds and cc and communication and all that. I would watch every second. Play with another character that pumps with hunter and get him glad and more. He could easily be 2800+
Why? You think there's only one way to play this game effectively? Not all classes or comps revolve around retarded CC chains and resets. CC chaining and reset comps are literally retard tier. They are easy to play because CC vastly outnumbers the counters to it.

In MoP a friend who played 1v2 or 1v3 rated Arena with the help of his Smurf account (to que) due to the way that MMR works his smurf was 1400 MMR and he had a rating of 2100. On a loss he was getting -27 rating on a win he was getting +1 to +3 rating. He das ~1200 wins to sub 100 loses in 1v3 as Monk (yeah was OP af back than) since his smurf accounts got trowen out of arena cuz of AFK. Was clear to say,. that the game wanted to balance the Que placing his sub 1400 mmr smurf with his 2100 mmr Monk against a team of 1600exp players.
Problem with WoW rating: after a certain rating, probably somewhere between 2-2.2k, rating is more predicted by finding partners to play with and not individual skill. It’s really lame and why I haven’t taken arena serious since cata. I got glad in cata all 3 season and haven’t been above 2.2k since. Main reason being? I don’t have it in me to meet random people on WoW and schedule my life around the game anymore. I really am looking forward to solo queue. Maybe I’ll actually try to push rating again. I think streamers and rank 1 players really overlook how their rating isn’t as much of individual skill as they would like to think. Much of their rating is having people to play with and having the ability to schedule their life around the game.
I think it’s always been that way. I’ve got glad once every expansion atleast from tbc through WoD didn’t play legion. Came back during the end of bfa grinded out the dread flame and called it quits around 2.2k. I’d say most people playing around 2100-2200 could but glad. Not rank 1 level players but def glad especially with only needing to win games instead of a %. I believe it’s common, I know it’s certainly a thing in FPS games. Once a game has been around long enough or the player base shrinks enough the noobs filter out and the good players stay. The avg and above that stick it out will become good and the bad vanishing raises the skill floor. It’s referred to as “skill creep” The skill ceiling is relatively unchanged. It’s just a matter of learning new metas, strats/comps along side the few mechanical changes they introduce to the game over time. I’d argue tho you don’t need to plan your life around the game. You just need to find solid people that play at similar times and schedule some play sessions. Seasons are very long and 2-3hrs a week would certainly be easy for most people. I work 70hrs a week or more and I’m in my 30s have plenty going on but if I wanted to grind glad it wouldn’t be some huge sacrifice to take the time to get it. That’s anything in life you want to accomplish though. Gotta schedule the time to work for the things you want. Your time your call. I haven’t been interested in the mounts but I have made a point to collect weapon illusions so that’s what I grind for. It’s a game if you’re not having fun you’re doing it wrong. I agree with you though, lots of sleeper players out there. Mostly just the children or damaged people that are rating obsessed and those people usually aren’t fun to play with

I guess for me, the very fact of having to have an at least semi-regular schedule in WoW (basically needed to find people to play with) just doesn't fit into my schedule currently (and for many years). I like to hop on when I decide I want to hop on. I'm past the days of being like "Oh I gotta grind rating tomorrow." If come tomorrow I want to grind rating, I will. If not, I won't. I guess that is what I mean by scheduling my life around the game. I'm not going to commit the day before to being on. The main point of my comment though is, as you acknowledged, less about me, and more about the streamers (like Xaryu in this video) being completely in disbelief that there are great players that aren't at glad exp. I've watched a few streamers doing the zero-to-hero challenge and it's been a reoccurring trope. They really struggle to wrap their head around it. Really just looking forward to solo queue. :)
@@hamm8934 I think that’s most high rated players not just streamers lol I can see why it would be more of an issue with streamers though. They rarely play with random players. Think about most of them, they’ve been rank 1 multiple times and because of their in game notoriety they usually play with the same people or other streamers/multi rank 1s. They start grinding the ladder with these people as well and quickly climb to the top. They’re literally never grinding with with regular players. I’m guilty as well. Once you start linking glad titles or 2.7+ exp achievement links you typically get groups with people that know what they’re doing. I guess they’ve just been at the top so long they have no idea what goes on in normal brackets since they never spend time there. I see what you mean though. I’ve been watching a few zero to hero challenges today. It is a recurring theme lol
If u do one after rogue, I'd like to see u do a super hard spec, like destro lock. I think it would be interesting to see a completely underperforming / underrepresented spec!
you don't have to be 2700 or gladiator or rank 1 to be good. lets normalize players being good without sweating all season to get rank 1 for an ego boost and a bunch of opinions from ppl, and virtual mounts and cosmetics tht don't matter.
He is probably just the type of person who performs best under pressure, He knew you were streaming and xaryu and he has been 2400 so he has all of his buttons bound at the very least ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Iv never been 2100 - and I one shot people all day long at 2k and 1v2 and have 1000s of games as well. “Not bragging whatsoever” my point is a lot of lfg players can’t find anyone to grind with. I only play weekends and haven’t found a group that will stay together long enough to push rating. Lose once and they leave. Being a streamer you guys are now seeing a lot of lfg players are plenty good to be 2400+ even though they never have been.
Yup. WoW rating doesn’t reflect skill after a certain point. After a certain rating, it’s just about finding people with overlapping schedules. Really lame.
if the 2400 is to easy then go for 2800 or something pls dont ruin the exp to play with you for these guys ^^ i think you dont know that it means a lot to some ppl to play with someone like you
I wish eu bracket would be as chill as NA bracket but if you are not 3k lsxp and all season glad you wont get inv for 2k games here. EU players forgot this is just a game and There is no difference between 2.4 or 3k outside of the glad mount either you are rank1 or nothing your cr will be erased at the end of the season not worth the tryhard.
The fact that these kid streamers have grown up and still think that clicking is a bad thing as if the old head of wow clickers that have hero/glad xp don't play anymore. The ignorance of this gaming generation
WOW would be so much better of a game if we didn't have to quest or do pve crap like raids and dungeons, why can't they make it so everyone has the same gear in pvp so we don't have to play the boring mind numbing parts of the game. SUCKS. Everything about wow that is not pvp is actual punishment.
that hunter has roughly 1000 more wins than losses in 2v2 and 3v3 at 2kcr means he does paid carries. xar that guy is not a typical lfg hunter......... that guy has to be a pro, literally someone who plays WoW for a living doing paid carries.
he does 1800 carries, which any duelist player can do if they're playing a class that is good at setting up kills on their own, he probably just pays for his sub with the gold
