Have to admit to being a little confused here. The breakfast price on the Menu was $14:95 and $2.50 each for the teas. How does that come to $62, unless the free scones and tea refills were not as free as you thought! 😳😂
Full Irish breakfast 2022 $14.95; two years later in 2024 $17.95. That is a 20% increase (10% per year). Inflation never got higher than 9%. How can two full Irish breakfasts total $29.9 suddenly double to $59.75 (the $2.36 fee was for using a credit card as payment). The bread, tea/coffee and scones with the works was $11. Lee must have paid for what the Silver Fox took home in the bag, which is the right way to treat the host that provided a room for Lee!
What has gone wrong in America? Food in all states used to be dirt cheap. But now seems to be very expensive, even LV where they tried to entice punters. I don't get it. Much better value in Britain.
Jez that is overpriced!!! Clearly ripping the arse out of it with the Irish tag. Agreed American prices have gone way up, we were in New York a few weeks ago and the prices shocked me. And totally agree ref some of the comments regards an Ulster Fry. Get yourself to Northern Ireland and try a big one 😀👍
Looked a decent breakfast Lee. Next time you go too America mate, you’ve gotta do Texas. Home of the big bbqs, ribs, Beef brisket, and proper Texan foods. My mate lives in Texas and I kid you not mate the food they serve is out of this world, massive portions and way cheaper than New York State.
Right lee no way is this a 10 look did you get a choice of smoked or unsmoked bacon you didnt get a choice of tinned or fresh tomatoes ( you know you prefer tinned ! ) where were the big mushrooms and Heinz beans come on why ?Heinz are not the best anymore even you found that out on the blind bean test you did with your mate aldi's were the best and in the annoying pot ! The sausages were too thin like a fat sausage!! Now the extra scones you got were a bribe you know it, she wouldn't of gave other people that for free come on Lee you know it and where was the clotted cream come on lee that was not the best breakfast you have had well might of been the best in usa that you have sampled but definitely not the best I'd give it a 8
No Porato bread Or Soda Bread Lee. Therefore it's not a proper Irish Breakfast. I'm from Belfast and now Live in the North East. I was raised On proper Irish Breakfasts.
Irish and full English are very sad unilateral - the white pudding is the only real difference. But much better than a rubbish American (and that’s the good ones).
No no no 😖 soooo disappointed in that lady from northern ireland.....anyone knows that every irish/northern irish breakfast needs fried soda farls and potato bread. I wouldn't call that Irish! Come to NI and you'll see a decent breakfast....throw a fried pancake in there too
A woman from Northern Ireland cooking you your breakfast - but where's the Soda bread (farl), where's the Fadge, where's the Dip, though it was good to see some Wheaten included - Still beats a 'Full English' - hopefully, one day, we'll see an Ulster Fry on this channel. Maith sibh to the ladies of Mary's Irish Shop.
Ahh,get that lady to get some ormo/sunblest Soda bread, potato bread and pancakes imported, she make a great irish breakfast with those added...Take care and good luck Lee...
Trust me Lee, I'm Irish and there is no way in god's green earth that that is even remotely "Irish" because a "proper" Irish breakfast contains both soda bread and potato bread both of which were absent in your so called Irish breakfast which is more akin to an English breakfast. Come across to Belfast and get a "proper" Irish fry up instead of being conned by that travesty! 👍😎😎😎
I LIVE ON ISLAND OF IRELAND AND HAVE NEVER LIKED SODA BREAD OR POTATO BREAD FOR BREAKFAST. GRILLED TOMATO TOO.... BEST OF ALL RECENTLY IN SLIGO AND GALWAY WAS SMOKED MACKEREL. SO, EVERYBODY IS DIFFERENT. ALL THE BEST.
Sorry but that was not a full Irish breakfast. I had a proper one in Belfast and consisted of steak sausages, bacon, fried egg, soda bread, potato scone, fried tomato and mushrooms, there wasn't a baked bean in sight
Lee, I have to say apart from the white/black pudding the food looked great, the only thing is I wouldn't/couldn't pay those huge prices. You make a good double act. 😁
Were was the potato Farl and fried soda bread, in saying that it did look amazing. I love watching the banter you both get up to, it is so funny, you are a natural silver fox. 🤣🤣🤣👍
Just to point out that neither Yorkshire or Ireland grow tea. Why do you think writing Yorkshire on a packet of tea, probably from Sri Lanka, makes it better??? You’re being conned by the marketing
Breakfast looked fantastic. A bit costly. I have paid less at some hotels for breakfast, and had much more for half the price for two. The mushrooms were missing also. Nonetheless a nice breakfast treat in the US.
That looked fab, its making me hungry. Is this where I admit that this Irish person doesnt drink tea! I have been asked in the past if I'm really Irish LOL I've only ever had butter and jam on scones
@@anderson-coletheresa4453 I live there now. Beautiful town and good ppl the July 4th parade was great this year and yes Keltic kitchen is awesome hard to finish a full Irish there 😂 great store at the back also . It's like heaven been Irish !!
PS - looking at this looks great ... but what is the difference between this and a full english? I see no mushrooms, but apart from that looks like a great full english. Also the bread looks fabulous. Jeezus - 62 dollars... Euro parity with the dollar means this cast you nearly £30 a head. Erm....
For breakfast .. I would do fried bread PERFECTLY .. I use plum tind tomatoes. eggs to our taste ( which I also like sunny side up) soft not snotty. bacon slightly crisp under the grill ( ninja )+ black pudding sausage and if hungry 🤤 add bake beans also deep fried potato slice's with button mushrooms ( fried in butter )
Looked very tasty indeed, Lee. I would have given it a 10 except for one thing, or two things missing actually. No Fried Soda Bread or Fried Potato Bread, now that would have really made a full Ulster Fry-up. But it did look really good.
How much, no mushrooms and a 1/4 of a tomato. Martin was a wise man having the homemade (soda) bread. For £62 I'd want more than a free scone. Quality looked 10/10, value 1/10.
@@TheMacMaster Prices for everything have gone through the roof. Had to go to a Lidl here in NJ. Last week the half and half was under a $1.80 for a qt. Yesterday was nearly $2.50. We have our gloriously smart Officials in the Collective West to thank for all this. Anyway glad you had a good time here. Next time here i'll take you north of Hoboken and get some good Cuban food.
Why not come to Belfast you will enjoy an Ulster Fry. Bacon, eggs sausage beans black pudding Soda bread with taddy bread DELICIOUS 👍 Come on don’t avoid coming to Belfast !
Spot on... and the tomatoes (preferably tinned), and the mushrooms. I gave it a 9/10, but it's missing key ingredients, and it's bloody pricey (can't do much about the latter though, if the ingredients and inflation is through the roof in the States).
$30 each for breakfast is extremely expensive. I am sure it was nice but that's just too much money. Having said that, they were talking about Shepherd's pie. I would have liked to see that review. The next time you go to visit Martin, maybe try that place for lunch or dinner. They seemed like lovely people.
It's the add on .... service tax... a few states are notorious OTT like as you've seen NY and Cali in particular. The cost of importing Irish/British is enormous too... in today's situation, you can easily add another $20 with today's food prices.
On Shepherd's pie even in Ireland, you be massively surprised to find out a majority don't know the difference, they class a Cottage pie as a Shepherd one thinking it's the same 😂😂 need to get Ramsay over to educate 😋
Mister Macmaster congratulations on 70 k subscriptions..well deserved for all your excellent vlogs & it proves above all how popular you have become 😀 👍
Where’s the soda bread ? Irish breakfast should have soda bread 🤷🏻♂️ but at least the did have black and white puddings 👍🏻 did looked nice though 👍🏻. Cream? cream …There was 150 of us living in a shoebox …………
Breakfast looked yummy. You ought to have tried the Irish brown chef sauce. My mom was Irish and whenever we used to go over to see family we would try and smuggle as much chef sauce back as we could. Great little place 10/10
No white pudding???? The only thing I really miss from Ireland and hard to find in the UK. Clonakilty used to be good but there is a really good one from Kenturk in Cork I buy when I'm back in Ireland.
You have to get over to Northern Ireland for an Ulster Fry all day breakfast. You can get bacon, sausage, vegetable roll, black or white pudding, eggs, soda farl , potato bread, beans, mushrooms, tomato and a big cup of tea!
County Down!? She's British then! ;) 9/10 for me. It's missing mushrooms, tomatoes (preferably tinned), soda bread... and if you want to really push the boat out, potatoe farls. Lovely ladies, with the right attitude, great place, and very welcoming! Good luck finding a similar, or better, quality breakfast in the States! I'd be seeking that place out if I was in the States.
