according to another youtuber i watch, the dsml is an og ds with real hardware but with a 3rd party shell that’s made to look similar to the ds lite. it functions the same as the og ds and runs every ds and gba same since the ds isn’t region locked.
@@candlure630 They completely redesigned the entire console when they made the DS Lite. Same components (or functional replacements), but shrunk down a fair amount. Also the Lite has brighter screens, the original model's ones were dimmer, and had a different charger port. (edit: corrected the screen statement. phats had backlights, just dimmer ones.)
You can use any R4 card clone with ysmenu, that timebomb thing hasn't been relevant for years as far as I know. Seems that this is exactly what this card is doing, ysmenu with a custom-ish theme.
I have to point out that the DS ML logo has a black hole at the end of "DS" that is supposed to be an "I" but they got rid of the "I" instead of actually cutting it all out. 😂
The Nintendo DS Chinese Version called ique DSi because Nintendo cooperated with ique, which Nintendo did due to the strict Chinese regulations related to game consoles, to be allowed to market their consoles in the Chinese market.
oh look an r4 card! Surprised this is your first time seeing one, they were everywhere back in the day. My dad used them to make copies of the games he bought for us to play on and he kept the originals safe in his office so that if we lost it he just had to buy another r4 card shich was way cheaper than buying the game itself again back when we were kids lol.
The blinking screens is indication that screens or one screen isn't fully connected. Also if you have ntr-cpu-20 board you can flash it with flashme and it gives you brightness control like on ds lite and the screens looks so much better after doing that
I’m curious whether the original DS motherboards they used are second-hand or new old stock. Maybe they acquired a large batch of used or non-working DS consoles with damaged shells, repaired them, and then rehoused them in new casings. But if that is the case, it raises the question-why use the original DS internals instead of the DS Lite, which had far more units sold and would have been more readily available? It’s also interesting that they opted for a design that loosely resembles the DS Lite rather than sticking with an official DS shell design.
I just happen to have a Nintendo DS Lite here in front of me when I watched this video and immediately knew that "DS ML" was just a knock-off by comparing mine even before Jacob pulled out his "official" Nintendo DS to compare. Interesting that they are just repurposing old DS motherboards and then trying to pass them off as new hardware. Gotta love the Chinese. EDIT: Also to add, seems this may have been the only way to get a "DS Lite" like console in the Chinese market as it seemed that Nintendo itself could not market thier console there due to some strict Chinese laws blocking sales of foreign consoles. I am no expert on console sales and Chinese law, but at least that is what I gather from doing a little bit of research.
This thing is likely much cheaper on the Chinese market, and in that context in kinda makes sense to mass produce these from old broken bulk DSes from around the world.
Just to inform you that greasy stuff is the Chinese men who are very hard to packaged stuff but very sloppy sweat a lot and it gets in the products that they package
Bro you cant get a battery for ds thats not bloated at this point only a handful of companies still make knockoffs and even they use older stock frist.
That's not a fake it's all real legit according to Elliot Coil (retro future) it's supposed to be an original fat DS but look like a DS lite I think there's a model called ML or LL that looks like that
Ngl all your titles start to sound the same it's usually this console should be illegal, I found innapropriate pictures, this should be banned, etc but maybe that happens more on the smokin silicon or Jacob R TWO channel
