Who knows what that bunny was thinking as we looked at ourselves in the mirror display of the cell phone recording. Birds and lizards do not recognize themselves in a mirror and think it is another one of them looking back at them. The smart animals usually, with time, figure out what a mirror is doing and are able to start the self recognition process.... Building up vanity.
My kitten recognizes himself in the mirror. He’s about 10 months old now, he lived primarily in the bathroom for the first few weeks cuz he was too small to roam the house with the big kids. He’s so used to the mirror now. Sometimes he just sits and looks, and I wonder what he’s thinking.
Hey there it s nice that u let the bunny live in your Garden but catching them is like a huge amount of stress. They might think they are dying so maybe, if u rly like these animals you dont need to do that. And Parrots can recognize themself in a mirrwo they are way smarter than a dog. Magpies aswell But u got a rly nice garden there and i liked the video beside that :)
Yea its goota be so confusing running into humans for certain prey animals. Personally i wouldnt do this to a rabbit just because they can easily have a heart attack. It likley wont happen but its very possible.
I had 2 rabbits before. They often ran away when I tried to catch them and put them back in the cages. They knew they wouldn't be in danger, but they ran anyway.
@@azul1964 Sane people wouldn't dare to imagine that. She would scream, kick into your groin, poke or pepper- spray your eyes, curse your whole family,... don't try that outside, or at home. Btw, I wouldn't know all that from my own experiences, just gathering the information online.😜
People bitching about this guy scaring a bunny, apparently somehow forgetting that he rescued this one before AND not taking into account that it's in his garden ruining his plants by digging up the sprouts early and eating them. Lots of farmers just shoot these things and don't post about it, but he films himself letting one go instead of killing a pest, even if it's a cute pest, and people get up in arms about it. All the people complaining are hypocrites.
I am learning to ignore the negative people. I guess I will transplant some of those tomato sprouts to a hard to reach spot in the front yard. We do have a lot of deer around here as well and they nearly killed the small tree in the front yard. They sometimes treat my raised garden as a salad buffet, but I can put up netting again. Tomato's at the store cost around $5 each. I just found them at the flea market for $1 each, 4 inch tall. But 20 years ago I was paying 25 cents each for Tomato's and the pay back then was about $8 an hour at Lowes, now I hear the pay is about $15 an hour. So that is not right. Price has gone up way more than what people are paid for basic jobs.
@@shellmorton822 Once again being from the south we pop these things if they are anywhere closer to our plants. Scaring it might make it leave. Better than just killing it imo
The bunny actually froze out of fear, when you held it against your face. I had squirrels in my garden, and I have to fight myself to not pet them since they're so scared and timid. But yes, bunnies and squirrels are heart melting 💓 Especially when they eat, omg! But we don't wanna cause them anxiety. I'd say buy a domesticated bunny, to pet all day. I bought a toy squirrel, because my mum doesn't allow pets lol.
Bruh. Azul, just stop. You’ve been commenting that same shi on like every comment. Haven’t you learned your lesson??? NO ONE AGREES WITH YOU. Stop trying to make a video about hugging a bunny sexual. Human rights and animal rights are different. It ain’t hard to understand. People aren’t wild either. And don’t even try to use slavery in this again. PEOPLE AND ANIMALS ARE TWO DIFFERENT SPECIES. animals have rights too, but not like humans. Quit acting like the guy murdered the damn bunny. He didn’t harm it in any way. You see blood? You see it screaming? Do you see the obvious signs of fear???? No. You don’t. Don’t use the excuse that it was squirming. Every animal can squirm.
They'll eat the actually tomatoes but not the plants themselves. Since they're part of the nightshade family it's actually poisonous. But the fruit? If they can reach it they'll for sure go to town on it
That rabbit vibes with you rather well He didn't spazz out in panic, he didn't try to bite you, he didn't scream, sure he wanted to gain distance but he wasn't violently thrashing in your grasp, and when you let him go, he didn't bolt off like a lightning and just went about his day I hope he doesn't become a bother for both of your sakes because I think having your own yard rabbit a genuinely cool and awesome thing to enjoy
Yeah he was chill. Once they know you won't eat them they only spaz during pursuit, it's a reflex, but are calm once you're holding them. The ones on my property aren't particularly afraid of me and I catch them hanging out with cats like it's no big deal, sometimes it almost looks like they are taunting the cats
@@angelmartin7310The rabbits, tortises, and squirrels around my house taunt my dog. Squirrels will sit on the deck railing and wave/flick their tails at my coonhound, since he's sitting behind a closed door. Sometimes I open the door and let him run after them to spook them away 😂
Literally two days ago a woman brought a wild baby bunny to my job (I work at Petco) and said that she needed bunny food. The bunny was hurt from a cat attacking it. I took a look at the wound at looked like it was mostly fur ripped out. There was only a little blood. I helped her find the right food and gave her advice about taking care of the bunny since I have a bunny and know some things about them.
Wild rabbits (cottontails in my exp) can die from fear 😢 a neighbor cat that everyone hates cuz it lays in the middle of the road 😂 goes into bby bunny nests for fun 😑 (cat doesnt eat them, just mut!lates them&leaves them to die) my daughter "saved" 2 of them from the cat, only to have them die within 8 hours of each other. They had no wounds&were pretty sorta big, like they were about to leave the nest. We called the vet&she told us it was probably from fear 😨
Uhh you do realize that wild rabbits cannot eat the same food as domesticated rabbits right? You should have had her call a wildlife rehab center and take it there. Unfortunately, that bunny probably won't survive. I work with a rabbit shelter and we rescue and release wild ones all the time. We have strict no interaction rules and a special diet for them. We have these for a reason. So the rabbit won't die before we're able to release it. PLEASE call that lady and give her the correct advice if it's not already too late.
Unfortunately, you clearly don't know enough about rabbits to be informing this woman on the care needed - based on the information within your comment. Not understanding and recognizing your limited knowledge on a subject isn't something to be publicly proud of.
I see dogs and cats as a huge burden and extreamly expensive. Dog boarding is over $60 per day now and the dogs usually hate it and think they are being abandoned. Having to walk them all the time or cat litter everywhere and that smell of litter and wet sweaty dog. Urin staind carpets. Dogs freaking out because of lightning and trying to tair through the door. Not being able to go on long trips. Cats treating you like they own you. So everyone around here has dogs. One new neighbor let her dog up on my front yard hill so it could take a 💩 where my kids play. I scared her bad by opening my van door, stepping out and said, "Really! My kids roll around in the grass there and you let your dog SHIT there." I was so mad but that is all I said. Now she walks on the opposite side of the street every day and tries not to look into my eyes and I am in my front yard every day 24/7 watching out for those kinds of dog people who think its ok to let their dogs do that. My brother had a problem with a neighbor who intentionally had their dog crap in his yard all the time after his wife tried to ask the lady to stop. I am not going to tolorate someone like that.
So there were 3 times I videoed and interacted with him. The first time was when I found him in the black tube next to the shed. Then I found him in this video. Then he was all over the neighborhood before I made that interaction backyard Bunny has got to go. By that time he was so evasive and wild. I chased him into the net and he screamed on the 3rd and last time I caught him. I waited for him to calm down before I made the final video. I wish I showed the screaming so people would not assume he was not wild when I moved him to the forest area. But I will not worry about that much.
😊 Awwwww, I want a baby bunny!! I had a lionhead bunny, I named him 🍃Leafy!! They are so much fun as pets. You have a nice backyard& garden for him, too!!😂❤
So good to see. So hey, marigolds are the old farmer wife's remedy to keep bunnies from eating crops. May be helpful for you with a backyard bunny to protect those tomatoes.
Ok. Also I noticed they love those heart shaped leaves. They have been eating the sprouted peas, but that's ok because those are for them, I just wish they would let them grow first before eating them.
Oh he's going to eat it. He's going to eat everything. I took in a stray bunny once and those things are eating machines. Guinea pigs are the same way. They never stop eating and pooping. He is super cute though.
Yeah, I used to feed my rabbit a bowl of some leaves, unlimited pellets, and unlimited hay every day, but he is SO fat, not like dangerous, but he’s still fat. So we cut down the pellets to 1/3 of a cup a day, and left everything else the same. And he is still so fat 😂
I rescued four babies a few weeks ago. The mother abandoned the nest in our backyard. I think because of our dog. I marked the nest and watched it for around 36 hours. She never came back. I kept them and fed them until they were old enough to eat on their own and were strong enough to be able to hop and run pretty quickly on their own. They were 7 to 9 days old when we found them and were 21 to 25 days old when we released them. We released them in the wooded area behind our house on the other side of our fence. We still see a couple of them, so they're doing well. People need to realize that not every rescue is bad and sometimes it is needed.
Very photogenic & sweet selfie with a rare Eastern Cotton Bunny.🐇 You're so lucky you've found her in your backyard. Now, you maybe a Disney's prince. You know it's healthy, soft & cute.🥰 It might never be another precious opportunity to come by & find one again. Therefore, please protect her at all costs knowing it can bring you more precious moments of joy & happiness You can cage OR keep her indoors from time to time to prevent all your fresh tomato crops from being consumed & you can grow more. May GOD bless you abundantly & blossom your backyard into a lush & beautiful garden of vegetation. 🏡
Your comment is so sweet & heartwarming like there's no place like our homes, safe sanctuaries to rescue, keep, protect, breed & foster all these adorable yet vunerable rodents of the wild. 🥰🥰🥰
That's lovely to see. ❤ I have a half wild bunny called Plossum. Her mini-lop mum called Jazmin was killed by a fox recently so for fear of losing her daughter whose dad is a wild rabbit who lived with us since escaping a hawk. He stayed when we left that place, together with one of his sons. Plossum looks almost like a wildie too, Aussie version but her fur is softer and silvery. Her agility and speed are astounding. Definitely inherited from her father. Now at 18 months she's learning to be 100% domestic. No more free range because of foxes, owls and hawks. I do miss her mum though. 😢
Say do you happen to be from Europe or around there by chance? As if not that's crazy that you managed to get a hybrid in the States, as far as I have heard the domestic rabbit which is from Europe, cannot breed viable offspring with wild rabbits from North America due to not being closely related enough, kinda how foxes and wolves can make offspring despite both being canines.
Its amazing how much it chilled out after you had the bun scooped and next to your head. Mad jealous you got to pet your backyard bunny. Mine are waaaaaay too skiddish.
Big baby bunny: Omg it’s the bunny man. I did it again! 😒🥴 Bunny man: Hi friend! *puts him against cheek again*🤗 BBB: …there it is…the reason I keep coming back! 🥰
this man doesnt care. he handles all his bunnies harshly and their cages are awful. he doesnt listen to feedback. "lets just all agree to disagree" he says when people try to give helpful input that would give his bunnies better care
@@helixxia9320and it’s a red flag if someone keeps their pet bunnies in cages to begin with. They should either be 100% free roam inside like a cat with no cage or pen, or be kept in a large X pen indoors and free roam out of the pen at least 4-6 hrs a day
@@helixxia9320he doesn’t listen to feedback from the 10,000 comments on here all giving varying viewpoints and opposite advice? Man I can’t believe that what a bad guy 😒
@@Holly-ws8qj cats should not be left to free roam 💀💀 multiple videos of cats getting murdered by dogs on youtube. they should be left under supervision.
So precious I have a litter trained free roaming domestic rabbit and they are amazing pets hard work and expensive these little creatures but they also have special dietary needs and vert sensitive animals they are only for educated experienced people don’t get a rabbit unless you are prepared to learn and provide all they need
When they run that tail goes up and down making a flashing white light affect. I wonder if that scares prey or perhaps it is just to warn each other to run. Deer do it too.
Awww, yes so cute but please let wild bunny be a wild bunny. Yes I would love to cuddle them too and don't believe you would hurt the bunny but I really think they get so frightened that their poor little heart might give out! Protect your tomatoes with tree mesh/guards. Remove lower leaves and check on them regularly. 😊
@@kyledeguzman165 Guns, yes we do when it comes to pigeons but when it comes to bunnies the usual method for young trees or tomato plants would be tree guards. Each has his own method. I love bunnies. I know their numbers have to be controlled in some ways. I just don't have the heart to do it that way. I keep our tomatoes under cover as we get rains here which can lead to blight. No offense meant to you at all I'm just soppy about furry creatures. 😅
I saw the video when you first found it this morning. Then I searched your youtube page for an update but couldn't find one. Then boom! There it is!!. LOL I'm glad everyone is happy and healthy!
if you have almost any other options for greens, it most likely won't touch your tomatoes... and certainly not the fruit itself. Instinctually they know what is/isn't poisonous to them, and tomatoes are mildly poisonous to rabbits.
I read that cottontail bunnies like mint plants. Also these cute little creatures have heart and anxiety problems from being a prey animal for decades. They also have been known to sleep with their eyes open🐇
You are really lucky that little bunny didn’t bite the sheet out of your face. They’re are adorable but can really hurt you with their teeth and back claws 😊 good luck with those tomatoes 🍅 yummy
