Nice video. I know that there are some claims that he did used this one on Wonderwall (Nick Brine himself) however I'm more inclined to belive that he actually used his ( new purchase at that time) vintage Epiphone Frontier, that he still has. Take a look at that Virgin megastore acoustic live performance on the release day, quite identical tone.
He has been using this guitar during the band's peak success. The original one is at Rockfield studio, Noel left that guitar over there as a compensation after Liam smashed one of the studios guitars: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Mg9JwZSG_vc.html. you can see the second drilled output jack. You can also see this guitar pop up in different occasions: Like is 1997 Howard stern show: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FZqq1yp6P0E.html And also 1996 MTV unplugged, where (I think) you see two of them on stage: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sodHTjZEh2Y.html Also: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hOhN183GqyQ.html
No. The preamp is faulty. Apparently it’s a known issue and costs around $100 to fix. I don’t want to put more money into it so I’m returning it. If I see another one in good condition I would buy it again.
I actually like the way Takamine do it. You can switch out the preamps and the preamp hole has a nice plastic surround so it looks clean and acts as a sound port.
