I didn't recognize the ancient blade as the ancient arrow tip from botw, so I fused it to a sword. It broke in one hit and deleted a Lizalfos. Took me a second to realize what just happened.
@@AJ-xc4nm not with the bosses, the one that have the boss health bar for example, ganondorf, temple bosses and gleeoks, it just acts as a +50 attack boost
"Well that was a waste of a good ancient blade." The last thing those bokos heard as they watched in horror of the hero just erasing their boss and peacing out.
@@CassiusStelar Lol I loved this. No further words, just a two-word question and a flawless reference I haven't heard in quite a while, I wish I could like ya'lls comments more than once lol. I thought it was kinda clever and it made me giggle, which I haven't in quite a while, so I thought I'd give a mention. 'Hope ya'll have a great day/night, whenever/if anyone ends up reading this. ^^
Maybe it's a purgatory like Maz Koshia's ethereal realm. They are forcibly sent to a dimension constructed of their own memories, forced to fight Link over and over.
I thought that the ancient blade could work since it’s a one time use item like the fruits and mushrooms. But then I read the weapon description; bursting materials. And clearly the ancient blade doesn’t burst, it…..vanishes? Warps? Just…not burst.
The forest dweller effect only works with natural materials that burst, so fruits, vegetables, mushrooms, and flowers (but not bomb flowers). I think the two most useful fuses are dazzlefruit or ice fruit. Puffshroom on a shield is also pretty nice
Forest Dweller weapons only recycle _organic_ items that would normally be used up when used. Chuchu jelly, Muddlebuds, Puffshrooms, the various elemental fruits, etc. Gibdo Bones, Ancient Blades, and other undead or mechanical/mineral one shot items are still used up as normal.
The first thing I tested was gibdo after that failed I used chu jelly types with them exclusively. I assumed that’s what it meant by materials that burst which is the actual in game qualifier. I decided that meant explode out of liquid or gas. I also tested octo balloons and they don’t work
I didn’t realize they actually did the one shot thing, I thought it was just a 50 attack bonus. Now that I think about it, that was a little stupid, considering Gibdo bones exist…
@@aprinnyonbreak1290That's right, SPOILERS FOR A BOSS: The Phantom Ganon that comes from the Gloom Hands for example cannot be erased, so it applies the 50 fuse damage
It was a good idea to test. I have an idea like that too. Maybe you guys can test it and get back to me: Rito weapons. Feathered Edge and the like. Normally nobody likes them. The winbirst disrupts the combo you want to kill you enemy with. But...what about ice? Naydras Horn? Freeze, then blow. On one hit I want to know if it works. That's...constructs blown off of sky islands. Silver books blown into the water. So much usefulness.
@@abrahamcontreras9950 Yeah, I personally don’t really get why people buy the game… and then do their best to _skip_ the game they bought instead of playing it. Like… Imagine paying 70$ for a game, to _avoid_ playing what the game offers. _Why?_
Yeah I didn't realize the ancient blade could do that, so I ended up instant yeeting the blue lynel in the coliseum and it took me a second to process what happened.
If you fuse it to the Master Sword, it's far better. Because no item fused the master sword is technically part of the weapon, but some sort of energy attachment that adds an attack bonus. The Ancient Blade lasts for more than one hit in this case. Try it out for yourself.
I honestly did not realize they break after one use so I initially stockpiled abunch of them and fused them to all my strongest Zonai weapons only to come to the heartbreaking realization when I tired to use them on a boss.
The forest dweller weapons only have multiple uses for plant based items. (Puffshroom, Fire Fruit, Muddle Bud, etc.) The only exception is the bomb flower, only allowing one use.
Ngl I didn’t even realize that Forest dweller weapons worked like that lmao, I just thought fuse recycling meant that you could defuse objects without breaking them like you can in Tarrey Town
Do the korok weapons work with chuchu jellies? Cause if not, it could be that they only work with PLANT based elemental items. That would kinda make sense from a lore standpoint; the fruits are grafted onto the sword, and grow back each hit. The most useful thing ive found you can fuse with the korok weapons are *dazzle fruits imo. They kill entire swarms of stal enemies in one hit.
To be fair, it wasn't actually a dumb idea. It was actually a fairly reasonable assumption given the nature of the forest dweller weapons. Probably would have tested it on a more substantial enemy tho.
@@PixelatedPieah but IMAGINE😂 just casually going into a dungeon, seeing a boss and instantly making it vanish into nothingness while the "disappearing guy scream" meme plays. And then you just beat the temple. That would be funny
The issue is that the ancient blade is not a "bursting" weapon, the forest dweller's weapons only work if the item thrown creates an AOE effect basically. This doesn't include bombs.
When I first saw forest weapons I tried fusing like 20 things to them, including an ancient blade. They all broke and disappeared and I’m never getting one of those weapons again.
Yeah I already knew this, as I tested to see if it worked too. Sadly the devs made this an exception to the rule... I wonder if a milk bottle would regenerate though?
I don’t think any of us were expecting the toy/diorama approach to the visuals of the Link’s Awakening remake. It definitely caught me off guard, I was hoping for a modernized a link to the past style, either similar to a link between worlds or with hand drawn 2D sprites in the style of the opening cutscene. That said I absolutely love the look of the game. It’s so charming, like you said, and I definitely think it captures a dream-like essence. It’s also just so pretty.
I had been wondering this as well. Tested it with a Gibdos bone first, but got the same result. Though, I had no idea there was a Stewart back at the Spirit temple! I'll have to pay him a visit sometime. I've found 3 Ancient Blades so far and haven't used any. I'm kind of curious how many can be found in pre-determined chests.
They really went all out with the game's code for the ancient blade not being reusable. It would have been so much easier to program it as a bursting material like elemental fruits and chu jelly.
Dang, I tried the same thing with Gibdo Bones because of their crazy fuse attack power. Same thing happens. "Nah don't wanna keep this intact." *Breaks*
One in a chest half sticking out of the ground on washas bluff where the under the blood moon shrine quest was in botw use ultra hand and you should see it sticking out of the dirt, another was in the dirt half sticking out in a big skull inbetween satori mountain and rutile lake And then another one is just sitting in a cave in a chest that isn’t buried and out in the open in one of the many caves on around death mountain and I can’t remember which one it was I want to say it’s Gorko tunnel or whichever one you ran into the guy in the hot spring inside the cave pretty sure it was that one
ancient arrows only were useful in BOTW where need to pass master sword grand final test. But back in that time I did not know those arrows can one shot enemies. So I killed those Lynels in old fashion way ;-;
Ive only used the ancient blade once so far. Floating colosseum, beat 4 lynels, out of stuff, 5th lynel shows up, and I go "yeah, not dealing with you" and thanos'd him.
The forest dweller weapons only work on "bursting" materials, as in ones like fruits and chu chu jellies. Materials that break off like Ancient blades and Gibdo bones are excluded
