I'm a few weeks early, but with the end of 2020 near I figured I'd say this. Dankpods, mate, thank you for making my 2020 much better. Yeah, I watch other channels, but this one feels special to me. I watched this channel grow, and become something awesome, and, to top it off, it's about something I love. A channel that scratches my audiophile and "shitty tech" itches all in one, and I can say I liked it before it was cool. Hell yeah, that's a complete package. Joking aside, thanks for the great year, and congrats on 500k!
My guess was that you had to get an actual charging cable and run it up through a hole to the iPod so to charge it, which could explain that hole to the left of the Aux connector, but there doesn't seem to be a hole to run the cable through, so unless you make your own, that can't really be done, and unless you can somehow find a way to charge your iPod through the headphone jack, which I don't think is possible (I can imagine that connector being used for charging, but not when it's specifically meant for connecting s device to headphones or speakers), that's straight up false advertising.
It's so weird going back to this then watching his latest video it's like the exact same but with better quality and different angle it was pure perfection even at the start it's also fun seeing stuff go into the HOARD under the monitor
@5:18 I know you probably figured it out, but for those that didn't notice: you can actually remove that little plate that sits around the 30-pin connector so you can swap in different generations of iPods n such, it'll work without the adapter plate, that was a bomb ass feature for the time actually.
I would honestly watch you look at other stuff too. You have a good sense of humor and your editing style with the zoom ins works well with your excitement.

I had a very similar iCoustic kit to this when I was a kid. The dock was slightly different, it was this vertical-oval shaped thing with the same tiny speakers and actually had a 30-pin connector, in the middle of the loop. Because it didn't have a backing, it was theoretically really easy to just snap the 30-pin off by putting an iPod on there and pressing too hard. Used it a grand total of twice then decided that it was more convenient to just put my iPod in a cereal bowl and get the same volume and quality.

Oh God I remember selling so many of these kits from that same brand in Target in the early 2010s they always came "bundled" with the ipod for an extra $5-10. When the next generation ipods came in and so a new compatible dock bundle would be released these would be on clearance for literally 30 cents.
