Holy crap, the idea of fending off multiple Headcrabs with a chair is both frightening and exciting. It even feels more realistic if you're in a fight or flight mode and have to grab the nearest thing to beat one to death.

When I got to that point, since I just got a smg, and about 30 mags, I just held down the trigger and ran ahead. Can't jump at you when being shot! And it worked, didn't take a hit.

I find it really sad that the combat it half life feels like there's so little option to use anything but the guns you're given, a more boneworks like fighting system with half life alyx story would make the game so much greater IMO Just imagine reliably being able to capture headcrabs or manhacks in buckets and barrels without them phasing right through for instance

Hard to believe this video is already a year and a half old, I just got this game as a gift and I'm having lots of fun playing through with a friend spectate over discord. You feel so empowered by the physics of this game, it's a creative sandbox in that sense.
