I've got a friend who has mentioned/ suggested him to me 3 times over he past few months, then he pops up as a recommended with coots in the thumbnail. Love the cat, so precious and the ears are adorable, and I can see why my friend likes the videos, but i'm here for the cat mainly.
Coots drinking out of the bowl instead of the fountain is such a cat thing lmao. I try to give my outdoor cats fresh, cold water, but then they just continue to drink out of puddles lol
This is even funnier because I just bought my kitty a silver platter for his food, he threw up on it and went right back to eating from his old porcelain bowl.
It’s cuz cats drink only from trusted sources of water ones that they r familiar too, my friend had the same problem with his cat, she only drank from a running source of water not still water
Fun fact: the little water fountain is actually one of the best things to get for your cat. It will prevent the water from getting ‘stale’ and is better for your cat.

As much as I love the kitty content I feel obliged to inform you that you do in fact need multiple litterboxes, one for each cat plus 1 is the general rule. Also the toilet training thing can be quite stressfull for the cat cause they can't burry it, it can also cause back problems especially as they get older.

1:07 Generally, you want at least 1 box per cat. Not only are they fairly territorial, but they don't like an unclean box, and more cats means you would have to clean it far more frequently if you only kept 1.
I always heard you were meant to have at least n+1 boxes for n cats. Something about giving the cats alternatives if they don't want to use their normal litter box because it's too dirty or there's a scary noise near it or something.

Even Jackson Galaxy the leading cat behaviorist is opposed to training a cat to use the toilet and calls it just simple laziness. That has got to be the cutest kitten ever.
Btw for anyone who isn't a cat person: yes they're weird about litter boxes lol but every cat is different. we have 4 cats in our house, and we have 6 littler boxes because 2 out of the 4 refuse to shit in the box if any of the other cats have even pissed in it, they'll literally just shit next to it instead, so we try to keep enough backups lol One of the 4 cats also for some reason has this ritual everytime he shits where he runs from litter box to litter box before randomly choosing one, and when he finishes his business he literally jumps out of the box and sprints away at lightspeed as if his poop has come alive and is trying to swallow him whole. It's the little things that make having cats so entertaining lol it's like having a bunch of unpredictable sleep deprived crackheads in your house at all times except they only want food and warmth
It's actually a survival behavior, in the wild they would want to get far away from their scent because it would draw predators. Their most vulnerable time is when they are using the bathroom.

*usually* The moving water bowl is really nice, your cat will tend to trust it more and drink more since it's moving water because moving water tends to be more clean in nature so their instincts tell them it's safe!! :-)
This is my favourite video. So much Coots and Ludwig ripping out of a maids costume and fussing over his kitten like a proud cat dad. It just fills me with happiness.
Something about a grown man running around his house in a maid costume carrying a kitten in a backpack yelling “i lured her in with balls” is strangely funny to me
