I Get Why Everybody Loves Tainted Keeper! | Binding of Isaac: Repentance

Voodoo head is great for every character except tainted lost. Tainted keeper gets a coin in every curse room to heal the damage.

Voodoo head or whatever it's called makes it always a good idea to check curse rooms as this character, or at least always a guarantee you won't die unless you get hit by something in the room. It had an added effect of always spawning one coin for this character.

"I want to save it for when I REALLY need it". Oh no Retro, you have come down with a case of elixer syndrome. Please speak to Wanderbot for possible treatments.

T keeper can have more than two coin hearts only if you have: mother's kiss (trinket unlocked with t Maggie to Mother) or greed's gullet (item unlocked when you beat the Pong challenge) I don't think there are any other ways to have more health with t keeper, but I could be wrong

There was no way for you to know on this first run, but: As T. keeper, it's usually a good idea to skip the first item room. You rarely get enough money for it + shop and boss items, and it means you permanently have a planetarium chance on this already busted character.

here it is, i love tainted keeper. Tied with Cain and Eden as favorite character to play (edit: oops almost forgot tainted Lilith). He has unrestricted quadshot. You don't suffer the same fire rate down penalties as you would if you took mutant spider on any other character. Busted character, but also tough cuz 2 hits then dead.

I love t keeper, best high risk and high reward character in the game And his shops are f*ng insane, no just two options bs

The question mark next to items while holding spindown dice means that you havent unlocked it yet, so when you spindown it'll be skipped and the next item will show up

This guy is so silly, I love him. Usually, my tip on this guy to people is "don't prioritise the money over staying alive", but you've already got that in hand, so he should be smooth sailing. Devil and angel deals are fairly equivalent on T. Keeper, because they both cost money, so you kind of just go with whichever one shows up when you have enough cash for it. People argue that devil deals are better for that reason, but the angel pool is good, so it mostly balances out. All the good items cost 30c. Also, for the record, with boss rush and mama mega: Yes, as displayed in today's episode, you do open the door even if you use Mama Mega at the start of the floor/before the fight. HOWEVER: The door will close again if you exit and re-enter the room. Through ANY means. This includes deals. If you enter the devil/angel deal after using Mama Mega, Boss Rush will seal itself again, and you won't have your Mama Mega available to re-open it. For this reason, I usually hold onto Mama Mega until after I've beat Mom and checked the deal.

I recommend doing some challenges to unlock some new stuff,also kind of a break between normal runs

I've been thoroughly excited for this one. T. Keeper was the first character in Repentance that I full cleared. He almost feels like a different concept for a game, just superimposed into Isaac and it's fantastic.

Getting spindown like that is why chaos is S tier lol

Very cool and interesting character. Great first run with him as well with a super busted screen chaos.

pro tip; the question mark in the spindown dice means that you haven't unlocked the item it's supposed to be yet, and when you 'spindown' to that spot it will turn into a random item

It’s crazy risky to do it since it’s really difficult to get any health ups for T.Keeper but sac rooms are crazy valuable and I ALWAYS go for them since you can essentially restore your health every single room by killing an enemy and picking up that coin. It makes getting angel items super easy and usually more than pays for itself.

Lachryphagy is basically an always get to me, it's such a potentially stupid item. If you have piercing, your tears can deal hundreds of damage when they burst due to some bugged interaction (Isaac's damage doesn't seem to even matter to this bug) I think maybe I wouldn't grab hungry tears if you have tech/brim cause you lose a lot of advantages of those items

I await the day we get a true Spindown run. It will be glorious.

So, the 20/20 removes the fire rate penalty of quad shot, which is why you got a massive tears up. So taking the quad shot item with your current build would not have dropped your tears
