I have just started collecting stones and processing them, your videos are very helpful for me as a beginner. I learn something new every time about what I have to pay attention to when collecting. Keep it up. Greetings from Germany
I loved to collect rocks as a kid and your channel got me back into the joy of collecting rocks. Even bought a rock tumbler and some rocks based on your amazon video. Hoping I get some cool ones tumbled soon. :)
I was born in Southfield but moved away when I was a baby. Here in Florida we do not have anything besides agatized coral to find. It would be so cool to have a rock from where I was born.
I'm going to be exploring MN for the first time starting 10/17! Taking two weeks, including a few days on the North Shore to hopefully find some Lake Superior Agates.
I’ve been fascinated by rocks and have collected them all of my life and I’m 74 yrs. old. I don’t ever remember not having a cool rock or fossil or arrowhead in my pocket just waiting to be examined when I got home. Love your vids! Keep ‘em coming!
Your videos are truly amazing! They’ve given me such a love for agates and quite frankly any cool rock I find, I cannot wait to see more great content.❤️
Love the excitement you show when you have a good find. Also the geology lessons. I must say that I've never seen someone who does outdoors adventures always so put together.
Was that lake Superior you were at? I don’t think I’m far enough north to find any agates. Got a place on Lake Lida I go and look for rocks, find some cool ones but no banded agates. Anyways love the content, keep on rock’n!
Hi all the way from Cape Town, South Africa. I stumbled on to your channel by accident. You have made me go out and learn about rocks and the likes. Keep up the awesome videos
I’ve always wanted to go rock-hounding! I love seeing how excited you are about it and how many times some of the coolest pieces could easily be passed up if you weren’t patient nor recognizing how unique every rock can be!
You are so funny! Even when you dont find anything interesting 😂. Im starting to collect some beautiful rocks but i still cant know what kind they are 😅.
Watching a documentary about salmon two days ago. They got beautiful underwater footage and thanks to you i totally ignore the salmon and just think ohhhh look these stones gorgeous wanna cut them 😂😂😂 Love your content 😊
My best friend and I love to go rock hunting! We went to the U P to look for yooperlites. Her favorite is all kinds of red rocks, everything I find one I give it to her.
I have just recently got to rocks I live very far away from you but where I live is in the uk and I found a tiny agate with beautiful bands I would love to win a giveaway thank you for reading this
I love rocks. I'm nearly 60 and I've collected unique and unusual looking rocks all my life. I think I've found tools as well. But I've started watching these videos because rocks are amazing. I wish I had tools to cut and polish them. I found some ges or minerals too at our Kinzua Dam. Very pretty. Thanks for uploading. You're fun to watch.
I don’t know if you wanna hear this, but I’m 74 and I just started collecting rocks. I have found two rock tumblers at Goodwill stores. 😮 yay! They work perfectly and I know what you mean about wanting to tumble and polish, etc. but some of the equipment and the tumblers are fairly expensive. Some of them are downright out of my price range… however check your thrift stores sometimes they’re actually new in the box or maybe used once. I’m having more fun. I have found two that were barely used and also there is a hardware store that sells them reasonably and they go on sale quite often… something freight. Can’t even remember the entire name. Maybe somebody else knows it I’m having fun too, and I love Ariel’s RU-vid! ❤
Yes!!! I REAlly enjoy your channel!! Thank you!! I love rocks & gems too!!! I wish we lived closer to one another , would love to go rock hunting with you!! We would have a blast!!! excited about the giveaway too! Fingers crossed!! 🤞💓🙏💕🫶
I got my first rock tumbler as a child.. Now retired, I wanted to try it again. Bought a couple different tumblers, 1 Monster 17 lb. Bought some rocks from Amazon. But the house is bordered in Large uncrushed gravel... I keep picking up pieces thinking, yeah, I'm going to tumble this.. Granite seems plentiful but doesn't seem to tumble well. I'm in Montana, and were suppose to have some pretty good rocks as were in Volcanic and Glacial geology. I'm hoping to get more time next year to get out in the mountains and hunt the streams... I enjoy learning what I can from your videos.. Keep em coming.
I love to watch ur vidoes before going too bed! Your positivity and overall energy is contagious and makes me feel safe somehow! Thank you for your hard work with this channel!
What is the Mary Ellen Jasper a fossil of? The last agate from the parking lot I would have picked up and said "scratched chert" and thrown down lol. You have a good eye! Question - when showing the rocks at the end, I have one that looks just like the one that appears to be basalt with pink bands. Any idea what the banding is? You're amazing for sweating your can off for rocks. I'm in Ohio and I find a ton of crayfish creeks like you did. Not on purpose lol.
Many of these videos send me to google to learn about a cool new rock I hadn't heard of. The Mary Ellen Jasper is really cool and interesting. Fossils rock.
Hey ariel. The rocks are just so cool there on Lake Superior. Agates are one of my favorite rocks, too. There are not many of them in nevada where i live. Anyway Hopefully i win this free give away. 😂 JASPER.
My dad took me rock hunting when I was a kid and I've collected neat rocks on and off ever since, but thanks to the discovery of your channel I've rediscovered my passion for rock hunting and just last week, got to experience rock hounding with my dad and my own toddler. (Who of course wanted to bring home every single rock we found.) That's a memory I'm going to treasure. ❤
Watching you explore the wild and find these hidden gems feels like watching nature’s quiet little secrets unfold. You have such a knack for spotting beauty in places most people would pass by. Can’t wait to see what these rocks become after tumbling!
My partner and I love your vids such a cheery happy soul, the rock with the face reminds me of the puppet from Lauri Ylonens video 'Heavy' you should come up across the border we could all go rock hunting it would be a fun day ❤😊
Those are some awesome agates and jaspers and should polish up beautifully. I always look at the rocks on the roads. Keep up the great videos and God bless you and your family.
I have been tumbling for a few months. So far my local rock hounding has only turned up some nice cherts, milky quartz and some common but nice fossil slabs. My area seems to be heavy on sedimentary rocks, mostly slate and sandstone.
We used to go camping up in northern Minnesota when I was a kid, wish I had known you could find cool rocks! I've got to take my kids to our old camping spots next summer and see if we can find anything.
I remember when I was a kid in Minnesota in the '60s. They were replacing the sewers pipes and they were digging up the streets. As kids went down into the pits and found all kinds of fossils it was so cool it was Northeast Minnesota not too far off the Mississippi River. It was Northeast Minneapolisand there were trilobytes clams and several other types of sea light mostly small though no teeth nothing like that
I can't believe the banding in those tiny agates. Our agates in Montana are much larger but those are absolute gorgeous little bits. Imagine what the whole thing might look like!
Not sure where my comment went I might have replied to someone haha oops but just wondering if your giveaway is open to international people? I live in Canada
