The blockade will always happen as long as it’s coded into the algorithm. I believe it’s a vestige of the code that prevents my 40K-item store from selling 4,000 items in one day. Anecdotally, there is lots of evidence that an outlier day of great sales will be over-corrected by a weak sales day right after. I have put minimal effort into eBay last month. It’s better for me to put my extra energy outside of the eBay system. 20hrs per week on eBay is the sweet spot for me. I make a good rate per hour. If I double my efforts to 40hrs, my rate per hour drops. So for me, 20hrs per week eBay, 20hrs at my old career, and I’m matching my best week on eBay every week.

I've said this for a while now So sick of all the constant trying to please the algorithm mostly to no avail!! I'm afraid I've had to admit defeat😢 but I do wish you well Hope you manage to find a Permanent Solution

Definitely limits views! I started doing item specifics as I had 65 that needed doing.. it helps! I also reduced my small store promoted % which directed more traffic to my main store as they share traffic! It jump starts things a bit! My impressions are still 10 million .. crazy number which makes me believe numbers are screwed up! Like you Pete I worked in electronics testing for engineers so I look at things differently! Cause & effect! I didn’t want you to think I’m pulling info out of my rear.. I do my own testing like you.. .. when things work I get 10-12 sales a day but when not I get 1-2 crazy how my items can be wanted one day and not next! 🤷🏻‍♀️ it’s not our items for sure! 👍

eBay have put a weird limit on me. I can only add photos to 5 Drafts before I get error. Once I actually launch all 5 I can then add more photos (again, only for 5 listings).

Very slow weekend of sales here. I’m in Australia and had 3 sales on Saturday and 3 sales on Sunday. The 3 on Saturday were within Aus and the 3 on Sunday were to South Korea, Israel, and Spain? What would be the odds of that?

17:39 or Pete the simple explanation is the light house was shining on you that week then the light house went off of you and onto another seller this is why when some sellers are having a great week or great few days there are many others that are feeling the opposite and having down week or down few days sometimes ever 0 days this is the NEW eBay eBay Knows what i have been saying since last year even before that on Facebook and EBay Forums that there is NOT enough pie to go around so in order to allow everyone to have a piece of that pie (buyers money) they must cut half off (sellers having bad days or bad week) while allowing the other half of sellers to have a great week or great few days of sales and then its switched i do not understand why its so hard for sellers to believe that and understand it and accept that fact of how it is right now on eBay

You are describing an issue that is very reminiscent to a challenge I have with eBay's 'ReStock' feature. I keep this feature activated in order to help me maintain my sales history. When the number of 'Out of Stock' items reaches 10%, my sales slow down. When the number of 'Out of Stock' items reaches 15%, my sales begin slowing down so much that I have never been able to reach the 20% level. My point is that I get to see this hidden numbers game in action. So there is some ratio of items sold:active listings that affects the effectiveness your discoverability.

I don’t use immediate payments Becsuse buyers buy more than one item and immediate payments doesn’t allow easy transactions with combined shipping! Also I went through my shipping sizes as 4” or more depth is a lot more expensive!

Im.just tired of the guessing games. Ive got to find something else to do online to make money. Ebay has gotten to be too much work for 2 little pay.

Followed your bit of advise to make listings worse. Before I made better sales picked up big time on listings with longer dispatch time, not promoted, and shortest return time. Makes no sence anymore.

I wonder if this is why every week when i increase PL percentage the number of sales increase week over week? The block is somehow correlated to promoted listings.... similar to how we thought a while ago. As you get closer to that suggested add rate the dam opens more and more?? Czesc Pete! I watch your videos from time to time because I'm trying to figure out how this bloody Ebay works. I have a small baby clothing shop with only 120-150 listings (new items only). Sometimes I get few weeks with daily sales of 1-2 items which I'm happy with and then BOOM! Like some sort of block activates and I don't get a single sale in a week or even more! I am 38 old woman and not really into all these technical analytics etc. I just want to use Ebay for my small business but I'm getting more and more frustrated with all these algorithm games. Why does it have to be that complicated to sell a cute baby dress?! I've updated all of my listings after watching this video so fingers crossed my sales will finally kick in. I have also increased my promotion fee from 3 to 5% on all of the listings and thinking of setting it up to 10% just to check if that helps at all.

Hi Pete I sell similar everyday . Yes many have no views the dentist is a must I hate it too but the agony not work it. U can go to gp they give u drug if desperate but u still have to dentist. Yes my sales ver poor I go between one or two day policy for post and I must try the cash option. I have gone from 800 to 300 listings. Yes I promote lots now putting then back down. I change price everyday one day by a percentage too . Good luck thanks comparing all my dead listing to live again. Item specific ect yes make the ratio much better. Still hard to compete against Chinese drop shippers ahhhhh don’t think they will ever change eBay who comps with shopify. Keep going . Auctions always go bad for me or the messages drives me mad lolololol ..other sellers grrr . I also now do as I see others do loss leader ..bring in listings bulk or super cheap deal hoping they see others in store e t. I wonder do u have newsletter ahhh I think something we should all be doing too. All the best this too will pass . The block is real for sure
