I go on a road trip in a stolen truck!

A customer of mine had one of their stolen trucks recovered by the sheriff's department and another local tow company, then hired me to bring it back to their shop. So I took my Jeep Grand Cherokee up, hooked the tow bar to it, and flat towed it over the Cascade Mountain range. After getting it dropped off without getting arrested for grand theft auto, I headed towards home over some back roads, checked out a covered bridge, learned some of Oregon's pioneer history, explored lava fields, saw volcano's, found a 160 year old grave site and took a nice drive through the forest

44 tons is an amazing amount of weight for a wooden bridge. I have a couple covered bridges within 10 miles from me and they are both rated at 4 tons. Thanks for the tour.

Your history stories were very interesting to hear and also the sight seeing. When we were growing up, my late Dad use to take us on his vacation from work and take us out of state to sight seeing and explore. This video sure brought back good memories, thank you and your audio was very clear👍🇺🇸..

Your drive through the trees beside the road reminded me of a recent experience. When I lived in Portland, I used to work on Larch Mountain. The road on the west side of the mountain afforded a wonderful view of the countryside as the trees were only a few feet tall. When I looked at a recent video of the road, it was surrounded by tall trees. Then I realized, trees grow up in 75 years. On the video, I had tried to spot roads and turnouts I knew. No luck at all.

The audio is spot on. That is one thing you are constantly working on. I give you kudos about. So many yt people have just the crappiest audio especially in windy environments. They all apologize but they don't do anything to improve on it. You seem to care more than yt channels that are multi-times larger.

Casey, this video has been especially enjoyable. Many years ago I paddled several whitewater rivers in central Oregon, including the McKenzie. The first place you stopped, where you climbed the stump, could have been where we paddled: tricky but manageable in specialty whitewater solo canoes. I like how you blend your towing work with sharing your appreciation for the natural parts of Oregon. As a result, I'm getting inspired to go wander around this part of Oregon this spring! I think this lava bed area, will be at the top of my list.

Very nice video once again. You have very beautiful sceneries in Oregon, that lava field was awesome and old bridge was cool too. Postman´s story was sad, but those were hard times. Your microphone works well. Could introduce more about the towing connection of how you connected the Jeep to the back of the behind of "stolen" truck ?

I’m just looking back at some of your old(er) videos. Wow that lava flow is AWESOME!! What surprised me was the silence, no bird sounds, nothing, incredible! I’m in awe of the size of the wide open spaces you have over there. I’m in North Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 U.K. and we have mountains that have very different terrain to you (if you’re interested Google Snowdonia mountain range or Clywydian Range and you’ll see the difference) but there’s as close as we get to wide open. If you ever fancy a U.K. trip I can hook you up and show you some cool trucks, quarries & machinery we use over here.

Two years ago my wife and I flew to Eugene for a wedding, I have a friend that lives in Bend. My time was limited but he and I met halfway at the McKenzie General Store near the river. We did a little hiking along the river and just enjoyed the beautiful scenery. Unfortunately I had to catch a flight back home that afternoon so I didn't get too much time to explore!

My mom had her ford escape stolen from a salvation army parking lot where she works ,abut 2 weeks later the vehicle was found and the only thing she got back was her license plate because it was destroyed. She then transferred her plate to another identical escape just silver instead of blue . 6 months later I'm driving my moms escape to go replace a bad rocker panel ,and get pulled over and swarmed by several cop cars with guns drawn .a hr and a underware change later I am un-cuffed and released ,and find out that the stolen vehicle report was still active and hadn't been taken out of the system. It was a interesting day.

Casey, you are amazing...I am on 5th video this morning and have learned an immense amount of things. Your personality is 100% perfect for social media RU-vid's viewing. Having said that (Gadzzz, I am using your exact words, now coined some of them!)...so when Tuesday came around, did the doctor let you postpone the hernea operation until May? Surely this answered in a video but mine don't come up chronologically and this is way way way too much fun viewing...whatever other videos...do pop up rather then going back to your home page and pick from there in order. Love your posts...and your unick way of signing off...that I 'think' Grumpy started and you coined. Whatever! Fun, fun, FUN videos!!!👍🤜🤛

2:50 Maybe that poorly-mounted winch was intended to haul stolen vehicles up into the truck's box, for concealed transport? I'm guessing that the thieves got busted before they had a chance to try any of that, though, since the winch apparently hadn't had any load applied to it yet, and thus it never got forcibly ripped back out of the fiberglass platform at the front of the box.
