Be sure to get something in writing from them! I had a verbal "don't bother go to court for this misunderstanding" from a Florida Wildlife Colonel. 6 months later I spent a night in jail & still went to court for the judge to "take care of it." Seems the paper work was not filed.

That baitfish was a type of sand perch. When small, they are perfect mangrove snapper bait. The size you used was snook candy. I’ve heard they work better when you cut that long pin off of the dorsal fin, but never tried. Also, when those perch get crappie size, the meat is very white and firm....perfect fried whole.

I came from the UK to fish Blind Pass three years ago and was surprised at how much it was to park there, I payed for four hours only to find dead fish everywhere. Red Tide had taken its toll, not one fish was caught while I was there, glad to see its recovered well. I'll be back when we get a vaccine for Covid . Tight lines Brant, keep the vids coming !!

WE ARE FROM OKEECHOBEE - We came there on a weeks vacation and they tried to ticket us TWICE for parking!!!! The side of the roads are two small and yet if your tire touches the road your fined.

This video actually helped me a lot. I was planning on surprising my wife with a week end fishing get away to Sanibel (she likes fishing as much as I do). Did a quick search for parking ticket scams in Sanibel and Fort Myers. It appears the police departments in Lee county are corrupt and doing this shit quite a bit. Their whole county just lost any money from family from here on out. You should write an email to the state inspector general, Sheriff and cc the cambers of commerce and the county commission.

That señor is a Stargazer. They are a type of monkfish. I caught one in PCB last summer and I thought it was some sort of grouper. They have a venomous and toothy bite along with venomous barbs like those of a hardhead catfish.

I got a ticket in the same exact spot but my parking pass flew in my floorboard when I shut the door to go fish. Later found the officer who wrote the ticket on his mule riding down the island. Stopped and told him what happened and showed him my pass and ticket, he then made a quick 30 second phone call and told me everything was resolved and sent me on my way.. Sorry about your lost fishing time!! I know how much money it is to stay and fish down there!!

I think some of those parking ticket writers are contract employees who get paid a cut of what is collected. It’s no lose for them.

Im actually surprised sanibel actually dredged blind pass. For years it was closed off from sand built up from a past hurricane. Was one of my favorite night time fishing spots

I was on my 32 ft shrimp boat registers at 10 ton's got a ticket on a Sunday for a expired registration, I rectified the situation on Monday morning wen to court the prosecutor told the judge I was operating a vehicle on the roads of pasco county you should have Sean the look on the judges face before he lambasted him asked if he had even read the case he threw it out I still ended up paying 35$ court cost but it was worth it!

In 1990, just got out of active duty Army. Wife and I moved from Georgia back to our home in Texas. We got a parking ticket in Galveston. Car still had Georgia plates. We were parked with about 50 other cars. All out of State tags got parking tickets. I’m a big LEO supporter but that was bs. Got it dismissed but took my personal driving back to Galveston to get it done. We live a half hour away. Only reason it was dismissed, we took video of all the cars that were parked in the area, showing only out of State vehicles getting the tickets.

Hey Brent I leave in Cape Coral I go to blind pass and seem to have no issues go to blind pass when the times coming in I have the best luck then and I’ve caught some bull reds there especially this time of year

I didn’t realize how close we live! (Atleast I’m kinda close to blind pass) my dads friend has a vacation house that we stay in every once in a while right beside blind pass to! I always fish the snook lights at night and in the morning I fish the end of the dock for jack and sometimes even SQUID that just randomly swim around by our dock

You cast netted some small sand brim and used for bait. They are delicious if you ever catch larger ones. We used to net them by the bucket full in my youth. They are every bit as good as Sheepshead.

I fish Sanibel pretty often and I have seen the cops there doing the parking ticket hassle more often. It used to be pretty relaxed at night when the lots were empty mostly anyway but the past few months they have really started cracking down with tickets and calling people out. You should check out the lighthouse pier.

Ticket meter machines are the worst. In Harrisburg pa they have a contractor that does the parking enforcement and they get a cut of every ticket, so they write tickets all the time hoping people will just pay it.

How does that ticket not get thrown out The time on your parking slip is clear, the time on the ticket is clear... The only thing I can see them disputing is the cop claims you didn't put the slip on the dash. Glad to know this. I will take care to document my dash slip better when I park at the beach.

Ticket everyone, make them waste enough time so you'll just pay it. I was an MP in the US Army. We were told to write tickets, it was all about the Reverse. I only wrote HC parking violations.. Wounded or Handicapped Vet's or spouces, shouldn't have to go cross Co. because of Lazy! Soldier's didn't make enough to pay added Revenue!

you should teach her how to hold a rod if your right handed your rod handle goes under your right elbow and you reel with your left hand it gives leverage to have the rod under your elbow try it if your a new fisherman also hold the reel in the gap between your 4 fingers that's the bit that attaches your rod to the reel much more stable 2 fingers one side 2 fingers the other

Let me clue you in on Collier and Lee counties. They don't like outsiders. I got a 155.00 ticket in a no wake zone in Naples when I was idling inside the ICW. No wake at all. That's the 'good old boy network'. I don't drag the boat to Naples anymore.

Need to contact the local news to do an investigation. If the city is taking advantage of tourists a class action lawsuit may be in order.

When this happens and they admit their error, hit them with a claim for your time and expenses and provide them with an itemized billing invoice. They will decline to pay it, then sue the agency in court for the cash.

That happens at Blind pass too often. I’ve had it happen parking on both sides of the pass. Got to fight it.

similar thing happened to me but i caught the guy. i literally pulled in saw the meter maid. parked walked over to the parking permit machine and walked back to my car and he was standing behind my car writing me a ticket. i said "your not writing me a citation are you ?" he says "well yes you have a permit?" i said "yes i literally just pulled in and walked passed you to get to the permit machine" and i showed him the permit and he goes"well the one on your dash is faded" I said "yes i come here a lot that's an old one here is my new one." i guess i shouldn't have had the old one on the dash but if there wasn't one on the dash the same thing would have happened anyways haha
