I like to say that he reminds me of my self when I was younger...I lived in fort Myers fl a fished little Carlos pass every chance I had always had a pole with me after work...man I miss the days...I hope that he has a chance to fish that area..

Alright everyone! I'm here to settle this. Raised in Chicago, used to tow cars in 40 below zero. Lived it Florida 10 years now. Your thermostat changes people! You get used to stuff! I'm cold at anything below 50 degrees now, but when my brother-in-law from Michigan visits, he can't handle the heat and I work All day in 95 degrees just fine.

In South Africa we call Blue Fish Shad, and they are protected, the shad season is only 2 months of the year, with a bag limit of 2 fish, you guys there don't seem to like eating them, here we love them for the pan!

The conditions look great.... It's sunny, cool, no humidity. The water is looking good and it looks like you're on a good cut. You caught a fish within seconds and Bama is hauling them in.

Yeah I went to the Venice pier this morning and the temperature was in the low 50s with a north east wind blowing 15 to 20. Did manage some nice Spanish Mackerel,Trout,and big Ladyfish. Kingfish,and Bonita were also caught on the pier.

I got into Beach Bum first because all I do is surf fish here in Texas. One of his videos led me to Brant, so I bought a kayak and started to learn more inshore fishing. Now that yall collab so much together, it's freaking awesome. I've learned a lot about fishing from both of yall. Also, love my toadfish poll for the kayak. Its awesome. Thanks, guys. PS - All of my friends call me the whiting queen. Target species in the surf, always. 🤣

You get older (and I've broken a lot of bones in my hands over my 30 year carrier, mechanic) and the cold Really makes my hands hurt!!! Like BAD! I can visit the in-laws in Michigan for Christmas, but I'm Damn glad to get back to Florida!! :-) although I admit I miss the beauty of fresh snow. 35 years in the Midwest cold, 12 ish in southern Florida beauty.... yeah, I'm NOT going back! Lol. :-)

If the blues are biting, try a longer trace with a red wine cork or other float about 2 inches above the hook.

I have lived in northern Illinois and Wisconsin. When it has been 10° for three weeks in a row and then it warms up to 40° it is shirt sleeve weather. I live in Florida now. I wear a coat in anything less than 70°. It is all relative. Keep the good videos coming.

Have to 😂. It hit 44 degrees for a high up here in MN, a heatwave! My boys were out playing football in the backyard in shorts and we opened up the windows on the house to let in some fresh air! It’s all relative brother👍. Dreaming of being back down standing in the surf.

Brant, I always use the Publix fresh shrimp too with great results. All the black drum and redfish I've ever caught in Melbourne were on fresh shrimp.

In Texas, you get fined for using grocery store shrimp. You have to use Gulf caught shrimp, something about a disease that can be transferred from Chinese shrimp that Texas doesn't want introduced.

Love beach fishing. Had whiting for the first time last night and it was great. Best time though was using a cut piece of shrimp and that somehow ended in a 6’7 black tip shark off of New Smyrna. Love your content brant!!

Dude, I'm from Vermont and we have catfish, but I don't know of any saltwater cats. I thought they were all fresh water. Can you please explain to me. Also, I grunt too, but you know that your old because you make two sounds. 1st- the grunt 2nd the"ahhhhhh" when you either get up or stretch, pick something up. Just joined the channel, love the videos. Wish I was there fishing with you. And believe me, 40 degrees in the morning is cold. Lol.
