Stay tuned to see this paramotor get mounted to a trike and later a tandem wing! I'm super stoked to be able to do tandems soon. This is definitely going to open up a lot of possibilities.
Great video ......your flying partner accents you so well. I always love her calm demeanor and matter of fact responses .....saying more with her eyes then her mouth. More impressively ....is she recognizes her skill level and is comfortable with it and feels no pressure to try & impress you or your friends possibly putting herself at risk. I really admire her for that...👍👏😊 God Bless you both and 🙏🏻 for your safe flying always ....as I know how much you enjoy the sport.
I lost it at “she might have COVID” 😆. I know it’s a slim chance you’ll be able to see this but I’m heading to New Jersey for the next 5 days for pilot recurrent training. Morristown to be exact. Any chance I could meet you in person for a fist bump? You inspired me. Whether we can or not, thanks for what you do. I’m trying to inspire people through my content as well. Happy flying! 🤘🏽 Also I would totally fly tandem with you and collaborate. You have a prospect ☺️
My favorite view is the view from the tow behind camera. Very cool to see the full view of you flying as is we are following you. Very cool perspective
Doing some last minute prep before I drive down to Aviator PPG for this weekend when I saw this. Thanks for getting me inspired to get into the sport, Tucker!
Hey Tucker I look forward to the new trike videos. I'm heading to Dunnellon for the next class super excited about joining the sky with everyone in the community. I've been watching this channel around 5 years so it's been a long wait for Me but the time is just about now!!!
Hahaha awesome man! I just went back and watched those with the Wifey.....made her want to try it all out now too!! Freaking stoked to see some Flying w Mom part2!🤙 Maybe even see her fly the thing! Gongrats man, that set up will be pretty cool Id bet!🤙🤙
I like the tandem flight format for this channel. I'd love to hear you interview "interesting people" while they are forced to stay composed in the air. It could lead to some unbridled conversation and should at least be good for a few laughs!
The show with mom is one of our favorites that we play for grannies, aunts, relatives. It makes for great content getting their first/second time reactions and talking with them before, during and after their experience.
Been watching your channel for about a year and enjoy it very much. I know nothing about flying or paramotors. Not only is your channel entertaining but also educational. 👍
About the extra heat. I recently got a new pap with the bigger frame and 140 helix w same reduction as you mentioned and I also noticed way more heat on my back and shoulder, specially gliding on idle. I wonder if the eprop shape that cools the motor is why we feel different heat when using the helix prop. Throw on an eprop and test that for us. 😉😬
Tucker on a trike! Yessss!!! Can't wait for some videos. I've physical issues, so I'm an ex-hang glider and unable to get back up in the air. I've had a dream to do so and has to include being on a trike. Also, I vicariously live through Tucker's videos (not in a stalker weird way...Lol). So this can't get any better for me. Tucker, Excited to see you on the trike! Thank you for all your hard work putting this channel together. Mark
I really enjoy your flying videos in the summer evenings. I find them very relaxing. I don't comment often but I'm always enjoying your vids :) This new paramotor and what your planning to do with it is AWESOME!!! I rather like the very deep sound and harmonics between the prop and the engine of this unit! very cool :)
I have been a fan of your channel and content for awhile now and have watched your tandem flights. I have been contemplating going to a paramotor flight training school. I have flown in small Cessna aircraft as a teen. I fly vicariously through your channel. :)
Tandem giveaways would be amazing!! I’m hopefully starting training next Spring but I’m sure I speak for all of your subs in saying that a Tandem with you would be an awesome experience 👌🏻👌🏻
Hi Tucker, You could probably use the shoulder strap pads that you can buy at the auto parts store that go over your seat belt in a car to help with the uncomfortable leg strap issue. They have velcro to split them to be able to go over the belt. Hope this helps. Take care, Stay safe.
When you're flying tandem and especially, in a trike, what do you do about a reserve parachute? Is there a backup system if your wing fails in a tandem situation?
Hi Tucker and Jaclyn, Looking forward to your upcoming trike and tandem videos. I love the sound of that Moster 185 and solo, it seems to have a super rate of climb, but I wonder how it will do with the added load of the trike and two passengers. From what I've been seeing, I would think something considerably larger might be more advisable. Keep the vids coming and stay safe.
I'm curious what you have for a radio. When you're flying around an airport, how do you monitor the ATF and make sure you're not in the way of any departing or arriving aircraft? I mean, I realize you'll see departing aircraft, but what about arriving, especially one on a straight in long final.
I hope that Helix is more robust than the two I have. At full power they bend forward & scrape my Miniplane air box. Took me a while to figure that out while I had it strapped to a tree. I previously thought the air box, under wind flow in flight, was pushing it into the prop. Not so! I've since added a thick spacer forward. That cured the scrape.
That's a big outfit. The starboard wing tip seems to roll under at the rear more than the port does. Maybe it's how you're controling it or maybe its a line length thing. Worth watching your following video to be make sure. Good vid. Peace.
I fly a Rider with a Atom 80 on it. I like it because it's built like a tank. And the netting is really good. I like how easy it is to get in and out of the seat. The biggest con in my opinion is the bolts sticking out on the swing arms. I wrapped mine with some rubber tape so when I was doing sick touch and goes I wouldn't rip my arms apart.
Love watching this guy he's awesome. Whoever is hitting the dislike is just a hater plain and simple who must have no life. Jaclyn at the end was so cute mimicking you lol. Keep flying, keep sharing brother.
If you ever bring your trike to the Houston area...at 61 years old ffg going on 62...I would love a ride....can not see myself running with one of those strapped to my back...but sitting is good!
I can totally see a 'Tandem with Tucker' being the paramotor twist to comedians getting coffee. You always have great noise cancellation in your vids, hopefully that holds true for conversations as well.
I like that motor and the options. I’m getting into sailing right now so; that’ll be the extent of my flying. I’d like to experiment with expanding wing designs or more rigid wing designs that become rigid during flight or at take off and less rigid as you approach your final or during landing. I’d also like to see a competitive skill sport come of this activity using common maneuvers like foot dragging turned into hoop catching and maybe filling a cup with water. I’d like to see more formation flying and even paint ball Arial War games.
I watch videos time to time and don’t subscribe to like nobody but not Tucker..still can’t forget when you were flying and ate a burger at the same time
Looks great! This is the setup I'll be getting. I am surprised Eric didn't send you the Rider with the Thor250 engine. Travis recommended it to me. Better for Tandems.
I have a Thor 250 setup on my tandem trike. With only a 130 cm triblade e prop I can carry a 100kg passenger. But at that weight it already struggles on climbing. For a heavy trike best to have a hirth or rotax. Moster’s too small for tandem flying big people...
@@Chris-Fennimore the Thor is awesome when it works, instant reaction from the engine versus something bigger like a rotax which may have a little lag. But it’s a high compression engine that needs a lot more maintenance than a moster. It can run hot as well so if you are going to use it for tandems I recommend getting it with a radiator versus air cool. It’s a little heavier but if you are on a trike it won’t matter. Also a bigger prop helps.
I checked to see if you listed this paramotors volume. If the cubic inches of the new motor is larger than the Scout you're going to get more heat and more fuel consumption. That big torque and P factor are caused by the big prop being larger.
Master the foot launched powered forward launch. The frame can take it without flexing and touching the prop. Once you master powered forward launches while foot launching you'll never go back to the old way.
I've been binge watching ur channel the last week after not watching the last year and the last one I watched was the dude snapping his ankle 😳 and I was thinking abt it then you said something... anyhow love the content man
Sounds like you strapped a freaking lawnmower on your back, I love it! Edit: Once you get the trike, you can join the badwagon and make a podcast, but while you are flying the trike.
What would I use I'm 6.2 and 200 pounds what's the difference for a big guy driving a bigger motor ? Just torque (thrust) or more speed or what is it more unsafe
Last night youtube showed me this channel. Didn't know something like this even existed!!! How did you even learn how to do this? Was there a place to go or did you just watch videos and hope for the best?
For your viewers, Fly Products makes a smaller cage (single hoop and double hoop) and smaller props for foot launch, reduction gears is directly related to the prop size so if you change the prop size you must change the reduction gear. It is a great machine. I would highly suggest watching AJ's Review Video (great instructor) Aviators youtube channel. Much Love guys!!!
