I got a Unimog! (Freightliner FLU419 SEE) 

I remember when our EN unit got these. MOS was 62J type. You could tell you jad a good old school 62 because they would use forearms and hands to work the levers simultaneously.

This was so fun! Such a great adventure.

Nice video. Too bad the rest of the ride was lost. The sound of the engine is simply brilliant! My father himself had a Unimog of this series for agricultural use, which I often drove here in Germany. The split gears work best if you use the clutch twice. So depress the clutch, main gear to neutral, release the clutch, depress the clutch again immediately, split gear in, main gear to the next stage and release the clutch again. It's a matter of practice. Important: always shift with the clutch. Just like your truck drivers in the States drive, shifting up and down with the gas pedal without the clutch, that doesn't work with the Unimog. The transmission is not designed for this. Have fun with it.
