Oddly enough From where you were at, if you went around the corner there's Dyna City and the IEO block and it definitely has a good number of western restaurants there. Plus there is a whole area called 33-town that's about 2km from that 7-11 that has also two western styled restaurants. Aside from that, many of us expats that live in that area congregate either around a barbeque of sorts or some other social cook out activity for the summer days and If you want to get more western food, there's corner deli near that position or you can go to ONE FOR THE ROAD, (that's more British Pub food). There's also another few restaurants such as SIMON'S steak house in the opposite direction. May you enjoy the rest of your stay in Dongcheng, Dongguan.
