I used to get 45 minute Chinese massage in Chinatown in NYC. The style has elements of qui gong/deep tisue. It would take me over a week to recover and I felt like I was beat up for a few days after. After finishing up I would feel like I was walking on a cloud back up to SOHO.
That reminds me of when I received Chinese massage and acupuncture in Midtown, then walked home to the East Village in a blissful fog with next to no recollection of doing so.
The confidence to go to a shop where you can’t speak the language and still be able to get a service and record at the same time. Huge props man 👊 Thank you for the content
It's cool for me to address to people whe don't speak the same language and it's relaxing they try to understand you not like the one you speak the same language
While the pressure is intense, chinese massage is second to none in terms of true long-term pain relief. Just keep in mind these massages are extremely intense and can be very painful. Props to you Martin for trusting him, despite the language barrier!
Watching both channels, you have travelled to more countries in the last six months than most people in their lifetime. Unbelievable work Martin, thanks mate.
@@MartinHervy did you do that filming your 3rd channel. It's unbelievable what you upload Martin and all the videos are brilliant. Good luck with your ankle, it must be a bad break to be out for 3 months
I like their techinque of cutting the nails with the blade, is unique, that is incredible, they are so skilful and the job they do is such a great job, like high quality job, wish I had such a treatment, I would have felt totally pampered. I don't know how he managed to put fire on that salt but the salt scrubbing was incredible, and the massage made with its knee on your back was amazing, never seen such a techinique, that Chinese guy is a real professionist
I loved this massage room. I wanted to live there, too. The stairs that lead to the bed, kitchen, beautiful, comfortable pillows. The professional Chinese therapist.
the best massage i ever had was in a school in china. he was an expert and did so many nice techniques... unfortunately, he did smoke during the massage lol
When the scooter came,I thought guys would load Martin inside.😁😉 Expression of you face says that was painful. But Martin you should know as well,No pain- no game.👍
For once I remember cause I was surprised. I gave him 100rmb (so the price of the massage) and he refused for a good 5 min! I could tell it's not usual to tip there
Martin my boy, long time no see, your looking great, hope you are loving the east, looks phenomenal, I still hope one day to cross paths with you isnifffarts
This price is completely illegal. Normal 70-80 RMB includes salt foot washing or foot cupping. And the massage time at this price is less than that of small shops in the same industry.
You don't know the massage time... I paid the same price (80-100 RMB) in the other shops I went to. Including a franchise shop that had multiple outlets.
This has been an amazing video, I loved every second of it. Kudos. However, shop boy here is GREAT at his job but he is so uninterested in his work it's kinda sad. He needs to know he makes people feel good, not just the person he's working on but the others who are watching too.
Well he does this several times a day every day so I don't think we can blame him for not looking the most engaged. But you are right, he should be reminded that he does a great job
when someone makes a universal language app. traveling is gonna be much nicer =).. im way to embaressed to stand doing hand gestures and talking my 3rd language to someone who doesnt understand a single word im saying.
And they dont have to be on top of you like you are their only reason to live to get a good service, id like it better that way no bullshit no chit chat that i dont care
@@MartinHervy i agree and to me it also meant he had a tremendous amount of experience. If he needed to look at you continually, like during the pedicure, he did so. I like his demeanor. Thank you for a great video.
