I was in Bangkok for two weeks and last night I just came back to the states I damn near wanted to cry. Life is so beautiful outside of America. I seriously cannot see myself living in the united states for the rest of my life. Im going to plan my next trip to the phillipines.

Honestly, you already have a nice smile and I understand you want a perfect smile. So, do what make you feel confident and happy. I know plenty of adult male in their late 40s who get braces done just like you. I always thought it's cool and look cute on them. The braces make you looks 10 years younger. lol

The honesty and prices are much better than US dentists, with comparable skill and experience. I had two US dentists tell me I needed a "full 4 quadrant deep cleaning" which would have cost hundreds if not over a thousand dollars because I didn't have insurance and had to pay out of pocket. I decided to get the deep cleaning in Chiang Mai which would have cost me around $170 total. When the dentist (deep cleaning specialist) examined me before the deep cleaning (which he didn't charge me for) he said I didn't need it and only needed a normal but thorough cleaning. Total cost ended up being $30. This shows how shady and broken the dental (and medical) industry is in the US.

I was just told I need a surgical deep cleaning in Florida. Now I'm going to Thailand next week and getting a second opinion there. I agree, the US dentist is all about billing you as much as possible. They spent three hours trying to convince me I needed to straighten my teeth so that all my teeth could be equally brushed. It was a big sales pitch. Let's see what a Thailand dentist says. I'll be in Phuket for the dental work.

I'm Thai and 've been to that exact same clinic. The prices are affordable +the dentists are really good. I had my crowns, root canal treatment, etc. done there. Also, you can get into the building directly from the station if you exit thru the same side connecting to the Airport raillink. On the right after the exit, there's an entrance to that building.

The most important thing is you're living in a culture where braces are normal. That makes a big difference in how you'll feel. I live in Asia also and in America I was self-conscious about my large nose. It's admired here.

I'm actually doing Invisalign right now. I paid 6K upfront and it includes regular orthodontist office visits. What's great about this process is that it will fix my underbite, which until now, I was told could only be fixed with jaw surgery. The entire process should take anywhere from 2.5 to 3 years. I have 1.5 to 2 years remaining.

I think more people should do things like this traveling abroad. I tell people all the time to go and get glasses. Flexible frames with transitional lenses are way cheaper. Don’t forget to also get prescription sunglasses as well as a few back up pairs. Hell I would even suggest teeth whitening if you need it.

Yep, I'm headed in that direction too. Recently I did a teeth cleaning, then to teeth whitening, and after that, braces. All for an affordable price. I think Chiang Mai has better cost of living than the south.

TMJ braces at age 33. Only self conscious when I had onstage performances. More concerned about treating the TMJ than opinions. But I also had coworkers who were finally able to afford them.

Dont forget that if u have glasses or lenses that lasik operations are really cheap in Thailand.. my did cost me about 1300$ 2019 for both eyes with checkups and hotel included in europe it cost about 1000-1500 $ per eye and in us about 1900 -4000$ per eye

I live in Thailand half the time and get all of my dental work there even though I have dental insurance in the U.S. Two years ago, my dentis in the states said I needed two implants. With insurance, my out of pocket amount was going to be over $7,000US! In Thailand implants are around $1,000US at a premium dentist even without any insurance. I got a crown one time in Thailand and my total out of pocket bill was $250US. You can get a tooth pulled for $35. Cleanings are cheap, too.

Guess you don't need a bone graft before the implants. If you do is, in Thailand it will cost around 1,800-2,000US. Though there are many good dentists in Thailand, there're also a few sloppy ones. My friend needed an implant and he almost had it done at a clinic near his home. I told him to go this Dental Image in this clip and he really needed the bone graft before implanting.

You made a Great Decision Bro, and Congratulations! This is one of the things that I want to do when I move to Thailand....so your video was right on time! But I am in need of extensive work, and so I'm looking for a Clinic that specializes in Implants, Crowns, etc. How did you find this particular Clinic? Also, are you still living in Pattaya and just commuting to your Dentist and getting a hotel room when you come to Bangkok?? I am still trying to decide if it might be better for me to move to Bangkok for the dental work, although I'd like to stay in Pattaya. Again, Congrats on your Braces, they look Great!!

Pattaya has A lot of dental clinic can do implants .Actually you can do every where in Thailand .Just compare for the price 3-4 clinics.
