In the early game you should have gone diagonal with your warrior - more information revealed that way and you would have been at the village a turn earlier. The warrior towards the lighthouse was much too early - you were not ready to upgrade, so it gave you nothing. If you sent it north after your second warriro you would have gotten your fourth village multiple turns earlier. You got sawmill tech but weren't ready to use it - defenders and aquaculture would both have been stronger. Defenders across their landbridge would have given you a favorable star trade and blocked their hexapods. Then use rammers to establish naval superiority, give space to eco, and then eventually you can get bombers and win.

If you arent using the tech or capturing a village, don't buy the tech, save it for next turn, as you might have to change your strategy, in this case when you got forestry

We need more of these :) Edit: i feel like most of the mistakes were already pointed out, but at 10:28 it was actually better not to upgrade, since you lost 1 star from it and gained no income since it was sieged. If you had that 8th star in this case (what a good case, normally 1 star doesn't matter much), you'd be able to get a catapult without chopping that forest. But still better than the wall, since raychi can explode, taking all your defense bonus away. So generally: you don't want to upgrade your city if you know that it'll get sieged, unless it's to level 2 and you feel like the explorer would pay off.

You were too slow to develop your economy in the early game. You needed a strong economy and navy to stand a chance
