@@blackheart59_ Cool I thought I heard you say that Raven was fun, I thought that was interesting I’ve never heard anyone say that about that character. I like all the Ninja’s 🥷
Everybody crying about certain chars in their videos meanwile ma man makes the most respectable tierlist and has completely opposite opinions compared to salty streamers. Congrats !
Taking all the characters to the highest rank should be the prerequisite to making any tierlist in a fighting game. People know nothing about characters other than their main so all they do is complain
I main Bryan (4 months) and Kazuya (4 years) and I agreed with the placements. With Bryan you can just stick to non-executive stuff and be successful with it and his pokes, personally I go the unnecessary high road with him as it’s more fun doing higher execution stuff. With Kazuya, it takes a LONG time to actually do launch punishes with his PEWGF especially online while others have it easier (like Bryan with 14f jet upper)
Congratz mate! Really well done. Also this goes to show that what ive been saying about steve is correct. That all non steve players always say hes easy until they pick him up and try it for themselves.
@@JustSirDanN please say it louder for the people in the back I just got my tekken king back with Steve it’s actually miserable playing him sometimes into drag feng ling Jin law Reina etc
@@ace_jds1875 I quit playing ranked once I hit Fujin with Steve (only character I play) cause those matchups are just so unfun. Those characters can just put out constant pressure, and continuously mix in high crushing launchers so that you can barely start your own offense by interrupting with jabs. Wouldn't be so bad if every single match wasn't against a Jun or a Xiaoyu, etc. I'd say like 1 in 10 ranked matches are against a character who's actually fun to fight against with Steve, like Kazuya, Paul or Bryan.
As a newcomer in the serious tekken community, it's interesting to have this Kind of return. I played Victor first and now Raven and I agree that Victor plays the game with you as for Raven you have to put his strengths on everytime or you will lose if you don't mix up enough.
This is the most accurate and honest tier list I have seen for this game. I always groan when I have to fight anyone in the "Super Easy" category. And its like 80% of the fights.
Hwoarang haters won’t like what you said about him, but you’re completely right. The moment you start sidestepping against him, the more opportunities you will get to punish him. His tracking is so bad and now they nerfed a handful of his best tools. Although he has insane plus frames, he also has very unfavorable minus frames for some of his key moves. A Hwoarang who doesn’t know what he’s doing, will get blown up every time. Thank you for this, sincerely a Hwo main 🫶🏻😂
So this is possible after all and not a theory I never thought anyone would test this so ALL of the characters are viable for ranking up. This is good data and the hardest character for getting god of destruction of the bunch that I play I can see here is Reina in the "Meh" level difficulty, two of the four characters I've played any significant amount are in the "Very easy" category with Jin and Alisa.
I applaud your endurance to learn this game the way you did. It is really something. I actually had the issue you mentioned and I quit the game, playing non other than Steve. The mental fortitude it requires to play the guv is insane. And because of that, I have huge respect. Congratulations!
I usually watch a lot of pro players playing the characters to have a gist of what they do. Plus experience does its part, I play Tekken since a I was a child
Xiaoyu and Paul both strike me as characters that seem brain dead until you try playing them. Like you go “they’re just doing X Y and Z and winning” but then you play them and try to do that same X Y and Z and if you do it braindead you’ll get run over, you have to know what you’re doing with them. (Paul maybe more so at a medium-high level and Xiaoyu maybe more so at a high level.) Whereas I think Victor and Dragunov for example really are kind of autopiloted. From my understanding Nina seems similar to some people, I find her fairly difficult but this is my first Tekken game and she’s the only character I’ve really tried playing. I also feel like, she’s S tier but my impression is that which of her S tier tools you use with her sometimes completely varies by matchup. I could be wrong though and I’m just not using the right tools well, but that’s the impression I get.
Kazuya is super difficult, this is for everyone who says opposite.. Ppl who say kazuya isn't super difficult don't even dare to pick him up but they trash talk
@@whenthe934 You sound like a typical hater haha Kazuya is not just execution, his df1 is 15 frames -7 on block lol He's slow as hell, once other characters start bombing you with pressure you constantly take chip damage he's not easier in T8 neither, it's a lie.. His Oki was more simple in T7 cause ff3 didn't whiff on get up. Now in t8 you need to use more moves ff2, CD1+2, chikueee, D1+2 to make him work. Play kazuya and see what happens hahaha
@@Jin_is_poor_mans_kazuya tekken 8 kazuya has a lot of strong moves now and u don’t even need to perfect electric anymore even easy combos do a lot of damage
Amazing work bro 👏 your findamentals must be marvelous 🙌🏼 would be happy with my firstTekken King haha 😄 Kishin atm with Yoshi, ill get there bro kust need to iron out some of my bad habits lol
i would say yoshimitsu is a special case because he's not really hard in the same way that kaz is hard because of execution or steve is hard because he works 10x harder than the rest of the cast to secure a launch. out of all characters in the roster, he's the character that requires the most MU knowledge and experience if you want to be able to play him at his fullest, mostly because of flash applications and MU specific defensive tech he can use. i also strongly believe that people haven't yet grasped this MU, meaning currently yoshi players get away with murder a lot (just look at qudans holding 3,1 over and over again for example), and with time this character will become harder to do well with at high level. don't get me wrong : i still think he will always be a strong character by nature of being a defensive character in a game all about pressing buttons, but i doubt people at top level will still die to 3,1 in like 1 year. congrats on your achievement btw, amazing stuff
Maybe you could make a "fun" tierlist! Would be cool to see what characters you thought were the most fun to play, regardless of their strength/difficulty
I saw u on the leaderboard and I've been watching ur xiaoyu replays and i became a fan. I never knew u had a youtube channel, I came across it by random from the youtube algorithm. You earned a new sub, looking forward to more content!
I got a challenge for ya @BlackHeart59. I wonder how diverse a fighting game player you are? I would love to see you get every character to the highest rank in Skullgirls the second hardest fighting game. The understanding of this game is S Tier.
@@blackheart59_ , I was thinking you might not play skullgirl? But if you got the mind to achieve the highest rank with every character, Then you are sonic fox tier and knee, Of course sonic fox is some type of fighting game genius, What do you think of ninjakilla's law? Also do you know if Knee got every character to the highest rank. I want to see your games against the top players.
Very different tierlist from others but I rly cant disagree. Imo hworang makes it easier just because of pure knowledge check but overall very good list
I played you many years ago and see you online every day but never want to invite you because you will make me look like a noob😂 Its crazy how good you are with every character!
Characters with non-traditional play styles will always be harder… with someone like Bryan who is considered hard he has very easy fundamentals which make him fairly easy but with characters like zafina hwo Raven yoshi who play their own way it’s really hard to adapt to
@@blackheart59_was Bryan easy because u are obviously a really strong player already or was it because hes super strong in T8? Im only bushin on Bryan and Steve so not to strong of a player yet but personally Steve was easier for me to get up there than Bryan. (I mained Bryan all of T7 pretty much)
I’m a shaheen main and you don’t even remember lfmao. that’s very fitting for the shit shaheen gets, i didn’t remember this character exists, who put rashid in the game, etc . that’s tough 😂 i think he’s hard to win with tekken 8 format. I feel shaheen works better in longer sets. with one and done mindsets or best to two it’s really all over the place. Shaheen doesn’t have a lot of abusable stuff or gimmicks that are as crazy as others. To me he’s the ryu of the game. Easy to pick up but to master different story his while standing 3 loops are insanely hard. curious if you were able to master those or what your combo routes were
Great tier list and congratulation on that achievement ! Laughed hard when you mentioned dragunov and Jin haha, btw do you consider Jin as a Mishima or not ?
Do you think steve was harder because of the state he is in? Or the character in itself. I am a new player and i chose him as my first main, but man its almost making me quit the game.
I’m a Steve main, I would take a break from Steve and just play a very simple gameplan character like Paul or kazuya to just improve at tekken itself instead of just learning Steve. Steve requires good fundamentals and the very simple characters will teach you that
Its amazing that u did this, i main Ling and i think i could be GoD or at least tekken god by now (im bushin, getting closer to tekken king step by step when i feel calm enough to try), but i get so angry at ppl winning rounds just spamming cheap shit that i end playing unranked to not kill some1 , like constantly spamming powercrush, throws and some random safe launcher from time to time ,randomly i insist, it wouldnt be a problem if it were a read but i know they r just mashing to force u to guess every single time. How the fuk this ppl got so damn far without learning to play... You hit them and they still mash their shit instead of blocking. Ofc there is always a lucky guess in figthing games but this ppl just take it to another lvl, as much as i love the game, i despise the bast majority of the player base... Its so rare to find a good match... Im so glad u put on supereasy all the chars i think have broken shit. Im suprised about hwo tho, he is a masher by nature with lots of broken tools, but ye i liked ur explanation it takes time to understand the stances but once u learn some basics, he is a monster. Shaheen should be on supereasy, you dont even remember it XD I think thats reason enough... all shaheens spam the same strings and mixups all the time and still work, i only found 1 shaheen that showed me moves i didnt know about.
I was a spammer and I m new to this game but now I m understanding the basics. I agree tht playing by mashing and meeting players who do tht, no disrespect to them, r not playing in a way tht u can understand the game, Or enjoy playing. Anyone can reach the G.O.D rank, if they play enough matches. But u cant learn how to play unless u really understand the science of the game.
@@DannyBob08 as another Xiaoyu main, all of this. Tekken used to reward smart setups. Now you spam one of three things and it turns the fight. Also extra salty in T8 because Xiaoyu used to have some of the best oki in T7, and now it's trash, and meanwhile it feels like everyone else has the most cheap garbage oki that resets you back into face down head towards, or wall splats, or sets up another juggle. Here I am trying to get creative with Xiaoyu when I've down the opponent and 90% of the time if you press a button you go off axis and whiff and your round is over. I've learned that ub+4 is basically the only dependable oki, and the amount of times now I just let them get up is sad. Because literally everything is too much risk to try. But 100% the player base is toxic these days. It's really sad. Tekken used to be the chillest base.
@@Pervy I agree, i use to beat him, but u need experience to gues rigth and the timing skills to face a char like that, and still he has everything to counterplay ur adaptations at every moment in any situation. Its a constant guess at every step of his atacks, or almost, but they know how to keep the turn. The good ones of course.
I was only surprised by Lee, you even put it in "Easy" with those combos full of cancels and precision concatenations. Yoshi is a character who doesn't give you anything, he has potential for top 13\15 for me so it's probably even more difficult than that. Steve is probably the most difficult character in the game and also devil jin. question: are you Italian? I ask for your pronunciation of English 😂
You think Lars was the easiest? I think he is the worst in the game, he is susceptible to 15-frame launchers in stance, has bad small combos and neutral, Heat smash is risky to use, linear gameplan, I also play Leroy but he feels more flexible on offense idk
@@blackheart59_ but so i wonder, do you have a main ? Or at least a favorite character ? I'd love to improve my king by matching with you Time to time if it doesn't bother you 🙂
I appreciate seeing a good player like you not shit talking about Hwoarang like other ppl do. I think if more people would try playing him at higher ranks, they would understand how much work it needs to get him straight forward. Congrats to this achievement and I died everytime playing against you hahahah
Most don’t care about the difficulty. They just think he’s annoying or don’t want to spend time learning the match up. Same with Ling, Zafina, Yoshi and the bears.
Everyone knows Hwoarang is hard to master and use at high ranks but most people just don't like his game design it's annoying to fight against regardless of rank.
I can’t really speak for high level but I got jin and hwo to red rank and it was so much harder with hwo it gets really stressful sometimes being forced into flamingo and having to keep pressing even though you maybe don’t want to and almost all of his good moves are locked behind one of the flamingo stances. I only played Jin because he was so much simpler but since I’ve been maining hwo it’s obvious how difficult he actually is
Hwo doesnt deserve any respect... It takes time to learn how he works, thats all, ill give u that. He clearly said he had a hard time with him because he struggled to learn some tools he have...
You should post some sort of proof along with each character beacause no one can see or tell that you've done what you're saying in the video. It would help add to the validity of your opinion on characets if that makes sense.
The proof is on twitch vods+ my replays! Unfortunately at the time I didn't think about saving EVERY vod I did in which I played the different characters, so the most recent one is up to 2 months ago. I've been playing Tekken 8 since day one tho
Im seeing your win lose percentage rate, xiaoyu is one of the characters u have difficulty with and yet she is in Meh tier? She should be atleast in hard tier just base on ur statistics.
@@blackheart59_ niente fratm sono io che non son mai riuscito ad imparare il matchup contro hwoarang e ogni volta che lo sento nominare mi vengono i flash del vietnam
@@blackheart59_ what do u do? I tried going threw all character's moves and practice what to punish or duck or ss, but it is too much....plus learning new character is somehow too distracting, and takes time when playing again with my main....so any advice?
Yes is is. Lee still requires high execution of of the highest in the game to reach high ranks. You will see a few people play with him and give up for a reason. I need him to be my secondary but his combo execution is crazy high. He has a lot of tools and his auto just frames in heat which makes Lee much more accessible
I had less trouble with him than with Law! I felt like lees gameplan was far easier than law's one in the beginning. Execution wise of course lee is harder. But the tier list I did was not based on that
The fact you think hwoarang is downplayed after getting both of his main moved nerfed is wild. Anyone with B level tekken skills washes hwoarang at top ranks
no matter how many competent people say that Hwo is so diffucult to master, he ll always remain "mashing braindead spammer" for wast majority of playerbase.
beacuse tekken 8 is easy af . I have friends on steam that never went above mighty ruler , for like 5 -6 years , tekken 8 came out , those same people from my steam were fujin in like a week. i bought it , played it for 2 hours , uninstaled it , and went back to tekken 7 .
