Jin Tekken 6: Genocide to purge the Devil Gene Jin Tekken 8 (as of latest trailer): Still Genocide if gets rid of Devil Gene. Jin Tekken 9: Learns hachijou clan exists. Time to Genocide more specifically now
tekken 5 Wang when he defeated Heihachi: "Power is not the same as strength. Until you understand this, you will not be able to defeat me." Everything is coming full circle guys.
@@Yoikii__ His writing has been trash for years tbh. Lars refers to Kazuya as "evil incarnate" when Jin's probably done more harm. Namco destroyed Jin's characterization.
Well "power is everything" is his Tekken 6 quote They just reused assets from T6 and even reused that quote "I'll get you" from Tekken 5 because they were low on budget
@@Rei-uq1jv Low budget is what I heard from Tekken community, Tekken 6 didn't sell wee & Tekken Tag 2 sold even worse about your second question: Definitely NO, why would someone have nostalgia for a reused asset? Further proof They even reused quotes from Tekken 6 campaign, since they were sure most people didn't finish it at all ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-780e_CvLxi8.html
@@Rei-uq1jvits a fact that t7 was made with a low budget as namco was not very enthusiastic because of ttt2's low sales. T7's turned out to be a success and made namco go all out on T8's budget
Well, this one might need some explanation. The arcade version of Tekken 7 came out summer 2015. The home releases (ps4, xone, PC) came out in summer 2017. So for you, it might've been 6 years
He’s like the employee who has been a part of the business since it first opened its doors and is so dedicated to the job that he’s never missed a day of work.
The fact that almost all the voice lines were rerecorded for this game really shows that Bamco believes in tekken again and are gonna make sure this game comes out perfect!! Cant wait!!!
When Law wears a different outfit, his nunchucks are absent. It just pops out on his hand when he uses it. In his Tekken 7 intro, I assumed that he just chucks the nunchucks away when the round starts.
Crazy to think that they’ve been using the same battle grunts/voice overs for these characters since T5, we’re finally getting updated voice lines/battle grunts for the characters in 8.
Just watching this video brings tears to my eyes, but one of the biggest improvements I've seen is that they fixed Lili's hair from T7 (now it looks smoother and flows freely), and Xiaoyu's hair becomes thicker. Also they developed Jin's character from "Power is everything!" to "Power isn't everything." What a time to be alive.
Hopefully they won't take away Steve's "Hey you! You wanna try me, guv?" from one of his win poses. It was already iconic. Also Yoshimitsu's "Shiki soku zeku".
First Tekken my family showed me: Tekken 1 Most emotionally invested in: Tekken 4 Most fun had content-wise/gameplay wise: Tekken3/Tekken 7 Tekken 8 is finally setting new heights in its own series. This feels surreal, seeing Tekken 5 pre-release screenshots in a magazine felt like it was just yesterday.
yeah i remember reading about tekken 5 and sc III on game magazines. I played 5 first in arcades then bought the game during summer holidays and played with my summer pals. good memories
Damn, I hadn't realized just how much of a glow up Lars got in T8 till I saw this. He looked damn near SCARY in T7 by comparison. Bit more expressive as well. You can see the little confident smirk on his face as opposed to the somewhat pale, wooden face he made in T7. They've done a really good job with these new character models. 😁👍
The thing is that the Tekken 7 your looking at is not Tekken 7 from 2015 but Tekken 7 console from 2017. Which had upgraded graphics compared to the original t7 in arcades. So in 2017 we had games like injustice 2 and guilty gear xrd second rev out which smoked it in terms of 3D visuals and people were disappointed at that time. But Tekken 7 was low budget so it was never going to be bleeding edge graphics
Tekken 7 was underdeveloped until they released it on consoles in 2017, so it's 2017 game & didn't even come close to MKX that was released in 2014 (in terms of graphic) And if we take look at Injustice 2's graphic that also launched in 2017, Tekken 7's graphic wasn't even close to that "god damn good" But I'm not a jerk, it was a low budget game, this was all we could get Now that Tekken 8 came we're finally getting a good looking Tekken
I love how at the end, Jin’s hood is up in Tekken 7, but he has it down in 8. Almost like he’s done self-loathing and is ready to face whatever is in store for him head on. Great use of visual storytelling. What do you think?
It really is amazing. With T8's customization, it's almost like with we're also getting T7 Remastered along with T8. Also, since Hwoarang has his T3 hair and goggles, I'm hoping for Gun Jack and Yoshi's T3 custom parts.
i think Tekken has looked so damn good for so long, pretty much since Tekken 4 that it's easy to forget how they're constantly improving the visuals with each new entry
When the game is out, considering it's going to be the very significant year of Tekken's 30th anniversary, Im already expecting to see large scale evolution/comparison videos from the channel in this same style, and Im looking forward to see a masterful work like it's typical from the channel.
It’s crazy how TAG 2 almost destroyed the franchise harada and Murray had 1 chance left with Tekken 7. They had a smaller budget and still made so much money and Tekken 8 shows that in full display
It's kinda crazy how Fighting Games as a whole died out. SF5 got funded by Sony, VF5US too. SCVI got funded by Harada and T7 got funded by Bamco as a last chance. Only MKX was kinda lucky to have Warner Bros, or else they would've probably suffered too. Dark times for FGC.
tekken 8 honestly looks surprisingly good. The clips and models look like I am watching a cinematic trailer instead of a gameplay clip. We've come along a long way
Considering we'll be able to change the character shown on the main menu (supposedly, anyway), and jukebox will be available for EVERYONE this time Who knows...
the voice actor for Heihachi which is Unsho-san is already dead . T7 Heihachi was his last Tekken project. He and Heihachi has already moved forward. The death of Heihachi in the series concludes his final curtain for the series. It wont be the same if a different voice actor will replace him. Id accept it the way Wang and Baek has already left the series
All more recent fgs are trying to take advantage of the new age tech, that is great for the genre. Such a long way since the first cases of 3d "body modification" tech like boob physics, that was a revolution in the 90s.
He could've gone to that realization in Tekken 4, 23 years ago. But he walked right into that "power is everything" garbage instead because Tekken trying to grow didn't sell. Like they reverted back to Tekken 3 for Tekken 5. If Tekken 8 undersells, expect Jin to walk right into the pit.
Tekken will always have a special place in my heart even tho I'm very bad at combos and I don't play ranked/online matches. It's special to me because I've played since Tekken 3, 5 DR (on PSP), 6 (on PSP) as well, 7 (borrowing my friends account) and hopefully 8 in the future. I'm happy to witness and see how far they've come.
i dont know what it is or if its just me, but tekken has a feeling that i cannot describe..maybe its because it was one of my favorite games growing up as kid with tekken 6 playing with my father and i have this nostaglic feeling. Tekken is forever in my heart,
What started with playing a demo for tekken 2 at a store, turned into one of the best fighting games I always looked forward to. Can't wait for 8 to drop.
Great choice of music. The Tekken 7 Solitude. Takes me back to certain days. Ex girlfriend. Tampa Florida. The fun factor of discovering Tekken 7 and Tekken in general since Tekken 3 days. Bravo. Liked video.
I realize I was spoiled as a kid going from n64 to ps2 to Xbox 360. Things haven’t changed much in the graphic department from these last 2-3 generations imo. 8 years and it looks maybe 5% better lmao
I‘m so happy they finally decided to re-dub lines for everypne. Including the battle cries and sounds which were the same since Tekken 5 I‘m pretty sure
The first time I saw Law’s face in Tekken 8 I thought it was terrible. I can’t tell if they improved it or I just suddenly realized how good it is. Also Nina looks amazing.
Obviously Tekken 8 graphically looks better but I still say to this day Tekken 7's graphics still hold up really well. Heck, I still look back at Tekken Tag Tournament 2's graphics and say they still look good by today's standards.
This latest entry of Tekken is most likely the one to formally end the Mishima Saga with that final battle between Jin and Kazuya. Tekken 8 will have other things going on of course, but without Heihachi, this looks like the beginning of the end for this era in the Tekken universe and I'm honestly ready for it.
