Man I’m a prime driver too and I got hit three times last year lol. I feel your pain brother. I’m at Pittston now getting it fixed. Best wishes to you man and stay safe out there Driver
Only issue with nosing in first is alot of times it causes the trailer to stick way out from the line of parked trucks. Only time I have an issue with nose first drivers,is if they are inconsiderate about it and cause others to not be able to get in or out of spots. Or the ones that get themselves stuck and can't back out and need other drivers that are parked to move. But you nosing in dosen't change the fact he wasn't aware of surroundings and cut the turn to short
Right. I’ve only had to back next to a nose in truck once. I think it was somewhere in Texas. Just know as this discussion is happening I realized that it was a little bit harder/time consuming to back next to him. But doable. The freedom to park in multiple ways is there. Some spots lend themselves for nose in parking and do make things “easy”. It really comes down to driver judgement and accountability for their actions. But at the end of the day, like you said, whoever hits an object standing still is at fault🤷🏻♂️.
@Peruviantrucker well said. I have been driving for 7 years. Love the honesty you show in your videos, good and bad. Stay the course and keep up the good work.
I used to drive a simi truck years ago when my dad was a owner operator, and he would always tell me that if I nose into a spot, then it better be on a end cap where if anyone cuts in to close, then they will hit your company trailer instead of your truck..
My dad sometimes would park nosed in a line of trucks, but he always makes sure that he didn't have any problems backing out of the spot..My dad trained truck drivers for Kraft in Springfield, MO for years, until the early 2000 when they did away with the trucks.
I did that back in 2022 when I first had the issue. It didn’t really fox it and you can only adjust it so far before the rubber hose gets cut. Honestly it’s not a big deal. But I do like taking the truck in so that it gets documented.
@@Peruviantrucker okay, I see..I have been watching your videos for about two months now, and I am going to try and get my CDL, and get on with Prime here in Springfield, MO.
I barelly see the photos but all i can say is boneheads usually nose in.just see how many nose in you see at a truck stop.hardly none.id never report a trailer id just say they left and let the company fix it
You make it sound so easy like planetfitness is truck parking.your the guys who cry when you get a boot tow or fine you bonehead.keep parking at walmarts
There is no rule that makes nosing in illegal. I nose in a lot at truck stops so I can get good sleep. Also your trailer getting hit is better than your truck getting hit
@@user-FTRU6GJ exactly! It is true that parking nose in also makes the truck stick further out at the back and that may be annoying. But, that doesn’t mean one loses the freedom to choose how to park… This was literally my first time parking nose in because of the way the parking lot was arranged. Usually I wouldn’t because I do like taking every chance I get to work my backing. But, again, this doesn’t mean one can’t park in nose first if they so choose. Regardless of where you stand about the subject… In this particular situation you can clearly see I am within the lines and not sticking out. But who cares… It’s my fault🤷🏻♂️
