That's a late 70s or early 80s Arby's and no wonder it didn't sell if a sink hole has opened up underneath it. In fact it's a miracle it's still standing and it could go at any time.

The restaurant was opened in 1988, closed in 2013 because the owner McDonald was ordered to redo the parking lot and remodel the store, and he refused and closed it down, the manager of the store did not even know it until she went to work at 6:30 that morning, and they told Miss Rogers they were closing.

I been to this one probably a hundred times when I was a kid. I think it was built in late 80s. It ran until late 2010s. Never been remodeled in the inside at all. Used to have a salad bar. It's still in there. Another owner bought it after it closed but building and parking lot are in bad shape. Surprised the back wall didn't cave in that holds up parking lot. Loved this place

There is always something sad and lonely about a place where it used to have lots of people, like the building it's self loses the will to continue on without people to breath life into it. It's sad to see this. It was built in the 80's. I have eaten here many times. I like their roast beef sandwiches! This restaurant was unfortunately built on an area that had been filled with dirt, but it was not adequately roll compacted, so over time subsidence occurred. The drive thru on the north side of the building started sinking first. I figured at some point the subsidence would undercut the structure itself. I was sad to see it go.

It’s quite obvious the flat roof has failed, probably one of the old tar roofs that had to be remopped with fresh tar every few years. It will need a whole new roof in order to rebuilt the interior of that structure. If they got onto the roof they probably intentionally tore apart that roof to get into the structure. I've driven by that place a number of times. It's really in good shape, drop ceiling is down but that's nothin. Pending any structural considerations, like you say, it could probably be easily refurbished. Booth's look good, upholstery not water damaged, lots of equipment on site. The thing is, did they open up an Arby's like right up the street ? The franchise licensing in the area would be a consideration and I have a feeling it probably closed due to poor sales in that location/area. You'd want something like that next to a highway cloverleaf these days.
