Tess you're talking to me right now. I have watched it to the last word. I'm in the process of paying my ticket. Unfortunately for me, I have several brothers and sisters. Just yesterday, my eldest brother told me this is a wrong move and I should reconsider the decision. It has been almost 3 months I'm not working. My visa is now f**k up. I have a baby here as well as in Kenya. At this point, I'm choosing my mental health. At least I have a mum mwenye ameitikia nirudi. Remember me in prayers too.

I don't know what to say to you Tess. It breaks my heart whenever I see someone go through trauma or,,i just hate when one has to. Especially trauma that has to do with domestic abuse. Trauma is less talked about. Most people who talk "experts" don't understand it unless they have been victims themselves. If you have been a victim, the rest of the world don't understand you. Its a bad spot to be. Especially the life after traumatic experiences. You can barely control the outside life if the inner is in chaos. And these are chaos nobody else sees. Try to talk about trauma to anybody, and you immediately get avoided. Hard to make friends if you have been through certain things. There is stigma and a lot of misunderstandings. And all of that makes it difficult to become the standard "normal" person. I wish you grace. And if it does help, I like you to know that you are not alone❤

Relatable much, reminds me of myself. I was young and ambitious just like you with a life in Kenya. Then i moved to a foreign country in search of greener pastures and in the name of stupid love. Only to be reduced to a depressed housewife and with no independence whatsoever. They treat you like trash when they know you have nowhere to go, no source of income and no car to move around. You have done what many of us have not been able to do! Although i did not walk out, God gave me an opportunity to build myself, my career in this foreign country and let me tell you the respect i got from that...madharau ziliisha! When they know you can walk out anytime...!!!!

OMG! I dont know how landed here.I just know that i can relate . Abuse and healing thereof is in whichever form or for whatever reason; the worst and most difficult part of healing that gets ignored by both the abused and those that are responsible for the abuse. A bandage wrapped around a wound just covers the wound. A wound may leave a scar, but it heals better and faster if allowed to stay open and dry for purporse of healing. This video is in my perception another selfless act to guide or help others heal, avoid or be aware of abuse and abuse traps. Im so proud of you for the courage to use yourself as a the bridge for others to heal.But, i feel like we the abused need to stop making it better for others and instead start talking to others about us and why we need to be ok in oder tomake it good or better for them.
