Shadow King just arrived in Marvel Snap, and I put him to the test in a Zabu Darkhawk deck. Is he good enough to keep up with all the other 4-cost cards in Marvel Snap, or is his effect just a little too niche for now?

It actually infuriates me how they’ll release cards like this that are comedically rare and yet they don’t even have visual effects. And we just have to hope that the card will be finished later on.

@Health is Life Those nerfs are coming! I get your frustration, but this is how they make money. Release op cards to make people mitt the season pass. All who wants to chip in the season$ gets to have a good time with them for 1-2 months and then it starts over. I agree that it's frustrating to "half ass" super expensive cards, doesn't look like you care about the players, only their money, but so far they have kept on fixing visuals. I just think they have a huge list of To-do's and if a new cards vfx didn't work as intended they still release it on time, which is a good thing in my book.

@Health is Life it's interesting how our experiences can be so totally different. I rarely get shut up by spidey+absorbing (don't see them much at all). I wonder if MMR and CL does that we sometimes get "stuck" facing certain type of decks? Sad to hear that your having such a lousy gaming experience 😰

@@InvaIidGaming I'm CL 4500 and after hitting Infinite I just good around on the infinite floor. Maybe that's why I don't see those decks so much. I did use Darkhawk to hit infinite but it was more a strong filler. Zabu-Wong-Shuri-"big card"-Arnim was the recipe to get there for me. The previous month I did grind from rank 10 to infinite and didn't have Shuri/Darkhawk etc. Patriot or Surfer (without brood), it was hard! Let's hope the future of the game is bright. It sounds like we're both kind of "invested" unfortunately..

I am also F2P (2.3k level) And I see it alot but it isn't too bad. The hot location is helping heaps. If you can shut down another location you can usually win!

@@cliffordadam100 Ahh thought you were a bit higher tbh. And tbh I haven't seen a single DarkHawk just Zabu who both are shut down with Enchantress which I run. Not sure what cards you have atm so I can't really suggest any picks.

Yeah! When Zabu is a 3 power 3 cost that gives all your 4 drops -1 cost and +1 power Shadow King will be great. Zero % change he's staying as is - They just wanted to stop the nerf while they could still sell passes.

@@kulatoid not sure i agree; yes it's harder to counter, but i'm not sure 'auto win 2 lanes' is accurate. plenty of decks win on raw power alone. could always tweak his own power lower if need be -- at 5 mana if i'm going for some sort of crazy control gameplan i'd much rather run Prof X than this

Shadow King is the thing in the back who fused with the guy named Amahl Farouk he is telepatic and is an archenemy of Proffesor X and the reason of the fundation of the X Men by profesor X, he was the first evil mutant that he met, he has a really good story with storm too

Pair shadow king with Luke cage, if you have buffed cards and Luke is on the field, you can place SK in the same location without fear of losing the buffs because of Luke's ability. SK will only affect your opponent side.

You cannot use Absorbing Man on a Mystique, since when she uses her 'On Reveal' ability her card text changes to whatever 'Ongoing' effect she copied.

A 4-cost high power card but nothing can match dark hawk, deck won't be as powerful(can't get as big as a dark hawk or allow mystique to copy an ability that will make her also big).

They seem to get mad when they don't get to see the end of games. I just try to say "hey I'd retreat here" or "hey I'd snap here" and it conveys most of the necessary information within a game. We lose a little data about a deck's overall performance, but I don't really care about that anyway, not trying to be Mr. Competitive Snap Man, just wanna be Mr. Fun Snap Man.

I hate how this is an on reveal rather than on-going. There's no point of setting the base power back to normal but then you have something like Dracula change right back or something like Knull constantly changing. Even a Nova buff will change all cards back to a buffed state.

The Plunder Castle or whatever the new location is called is by far 0/10 the worst location other than maybe weird world. It’s absolutely terrible. Only 6 cost cards? Really? Wtf were they thinking? As a F2P people really are mad because they're bad lol, I'm hitting infinite 5 days before it ends at cl 2200 using only pool 2 and 3 cards and additionally she-hulk, Y'all don't wanna take the time to play around the meta and instead just complain about it.
