Magical Hats is why that one Cyberdark card says "effect monsters". In Japanese, Cyberdark monsters are "Cyber Dark" but backrow is "Cyberdark". So when they're brought out by the hats, they're "Cyberdark" normal monsters, but not "Cyber Dark" monsters in Japanese. The effect monster stipulation hacks around the problem without doing something obvious and awkward in just the TCG like saying "cyberdark monster that was not originally a spell/trap"

why wouldn't they be? monsters treated as spells/traps are treated as spells/traps in the archetype, why wouldn't the opposite apply?

I think it’s less of an intentional ruling and more a case of multiple other rulings conspiring together to force the hands of those deciding. At some point, Konami probably realised “oh, we’ve previously ruled that a spell/trap in the monster zone is by default treated as a monster, that trap cards being treated as monsters follow the same procedures as regular monsters when flipped face-down, that the properties of a trap monster are retained after being flipped down by card effect, and that face-down cards can still be identified by their names/typings etc when being used by their owner as a requirement/material/cost - so I guess this janky nonsense sorta HAS to work this way, huh”. I remember seeing this a while ago on Reddit with the runick cards - you can make the usually-near-impossible-to-make runick fusions this way.

I will be fully honest, this list started with me watching some other sub replay friday in which synchro fusionist got searched by cupid pitch, realizing I'm playing cupid pitch in my agent deck to search neptune, and then wondering what would be the funniest combo to do with it. I'll be honest, in the form you saw in the video it is extremely inconsistent. As you (normally) use up your cupid pitch search for synchro fusionist and your parshath search (normally) for kristya, you pretty much have to open exactly earth + any 2 between venus uranus and neptune and also hope you didn't draw into one of your 7 bricks. I made this before the Chaos Angel stuff got added to the game. Definetly gonna revisit it with that in mind (although ideally while trying to find a less funny but more consistent combo)

@@LarsisLP i tried it today, just delicious results, even if you can't full combo there is always parshath krystia pass. and superbia can make barone or chaos angel or a second masterflare with earth after first darklord or even big chungus, great tec.

The list started out as me looking at my usual Agent List, realizing Cupid Pitch can search Synchro Fusionist and then wondering what would be the funniest combo to do with it. If you wanna try it out yourself: Monster: - 3x Mystical Shineball - 3x Agent of Life - Neptune - 3x Agent of Mystery - Earth - 3x Agent of Creation - Venus - 3x Agent of Entropy - Uranus - 1x Agent of Destruction - Venus (you can play a second one so Masterflare doesn't have to discard from Hand if you draw it, but that's your choice) - 1x Majesty Hyperion (Same as above, tho you can summon him from Hand so if you draw him you can just do something else with Moon) - 1x Synchro Fusionist - 2x Kristya (in testing it turns out she was the brick I minded the least to draw into since I can just use the parshath search for something else, but you only need one) - 1x Darklord Superbia - 1x Darklord Morningstar (you don't need him, but it allows you to trigger first Dark Lord's second effect if you can make use of it) - Spright Carrot (biggest issue if you get the combo off is usually your opponent opening Raigeki or Evenly Matched to get rid of Kristya, so I like the additional spell/trap negate) - 3x Ash Blossom (I had some slots left over at this point. Put whatever you want here) Spells: - 3x The Sacred Waters in the Sky (this deck is super inconsistent, so this card is prettty much a must) - 2x The Sanctuary in the Sky (You only need one, but this way Neptune at least gives you a free discard if you draw into it) - 1x Greater Polymerisation (there is no real need to play greater, it just maes the First Darklord immune to card destruction. You can just play regular Poly, or if you find a funnier fusion to search, go for it. If you have it I'd play Metalfoes Fusion to have a good discard to search in case you opened Greater Polymerisation) - 1x Pot of Prosperity (Anything for that little bit of consistency. Importantly, if you go for the stupid combo in the video you only have 3 Extra Deck Monsters you don't need) - 2x Celestial Transformation (This one can occasionally help you start your combo, if you only got access to Earth and Venus but not Neptune. Although as without Neptune access you also are missing Sanctuary in the Sky you probably will have to rethink what you are gonna end on) - 1x Foolish burial (this one comes up occasionally, if you start with full combo but no access to venus since Neptune can summon her from grave. You can also use it to send Kristya, allowing you to use Parshath for some other card, but it's a card you can easily replace with something more usefull) - 1x Monster Reborn (can be used to extend your place in funny ways, but again, a spot you can put something else in) Traps: - 2x Fallen Sanctuary (it's just neat) - 1x Divine Punishment (This is your Parshath search, if you already got Kristya) Extra Deck: - The First Darklord - Gigantic Spright - Tatsunoko - Cupid Pitch (can get you Synchro Fusionist or Neptune) - Executioner of the Underworld - Pluto - Baronne de Fleur - Masterflare Hyperion - Protector of the Agents - Moon - Condemned Darklord - Celestial knightlord Parshath (in here to grab Kristya, but he can also grab you just about any other thing in the deck) - Apollousa, Bow of the Goddess - Spright Elf - 3 Prosperity targets, I am playing Underworld Goddess, Accesscode and A.S.S.Dragon If you got them, I'd definetly recommend playing Into the Void and Upstart Goblin for consistency, especially if you wanna go for the supid combo. Aside from that, I do think the deck is better if you cut out the synchro Fusionist and Darklord shenanigans and just try to end on Baronne, Apollousa and maybe another negate (spright Carrot, Herald of Mirage Light, the Counter Trap or whatever) more consistently

Well, there isn't a specific ruling for fusing but I would assume that it works well enough knowing two: 1: they are monsters as stated by the effect which also means they are NOT s/t 2: they don't randomly lose their name, so for example a set tearlaments sulliek is a tear monster because it is "tearlaments" Therefore in this case, they are lunalight monsters. The same way summoning paleozoic traps you can use them as monsters for extra deck summons.

its a 2 card combo off a citadel mill, you just specifically need the searcher vernusylphs for 3 triggers, not needed in this case with the amount of gas i have, specifically the search where i would normally grab regulus got me the 5th 10 for the combo where you would discard gear box to summon back the citadel

Dozer effect tribute ancient gear ballista summon itself, trigger summons tunneler from deck. Xyz for stormer, stormer search Regulus. Regulus effect attach Gearframe and summon itself. Harvester level modulate with Regulus to make both 10, Xyz Gustav with harvester and citadel for second Gustav and trigger. Link off stormer for Goliath, then link summon Goliath and spent Gustav for Anger knuckle, Goliath effect attach to the no mat Gustav and that's the 3rd trigger. then you can send the Gustav on field for Anger's effect to summon back citadel. tunneler effect, shuffle back at least 1 Gustav and 4 other monsters, Xyz Regulus and citadel for 4th Gustav and trigger.

It's literally staple turbo + ss lock. How does that look fun in any way dog

@@willsoe cause I play despia/brandrd darklords which does similar things. Besides, decks like that don't require ss lock to be good. Won plenty of games without the ss lock on my despia darklord deck.

I was fishing for this replay for hours because the way to get there is so inconsistent if you don't open exactly earth + 2 between venus, neptune and uranus, and also don't draw any of your 8 bricks, and also don't get interrupted by your opponent at any point and also your opponent doesn't just leave 3 minutes into your combo ;-; I do genuinely think that Agent has some great combo potential, looping shineballs again and again is great and none of the cards ever lock you into light/fairys/agents or whatever. But even my usual list that isn't trying to go for synchro fusionist/kristya/spright shenanigans tends to suffer when interrupted at any points and while you don't need to open a 4 card combo, you do frequently still need at least 2 cards to start your turn (some way to normal summon earth and special summon venus). I invite people to try their hands at cooking with agents. I believe there is a lot more still to be explored. Another commenter already pointed out that you can easily include the new Chaos Angel stuff in this. Aside from that, there gotta be some stupid FTK you can do with Saturn's Effect

If it opens chick tiger it can do some crazy stuff but otherwise it basically can’t do anything, plus any bystial screws the deck. Leo dancer is a crazy monster though

@@SaucyCharmander Serenade Dance is also good in other fusion archetypes like Amazoness, Tearlaments(imagine a Rulkallos with like 8k atk), Dinomorphia, etc. Edit: will experiment with a Lunalight Dinomorphia build as soon as I recraft the URs.

Sadly -mistakes- bystials exist to ruin half of the archetypes.
