How about laying the blame for the problems where it belongs Bethesda. Stop being such a shill for them. This shows that modders care more about Fallout than Bethesda. Fallout is on its last legs and it's modders that are breathing life into Fallout. It's time Bethesda moves on their games are dated. It's not 2015 anymore. Red Dead redemption 2 came out around the same time as Fallout 76 and that game is superior to anything Bethesda came out with since. Starfield was a joke. And Fallout TV show wasn't as good as everyone says it is. It was more hey look at this look at that don't pay attention to the flimsy plot. I swear the taste of people when it comes to entertainment is sadly declining. Deadpool and Wolverine is an example. That movie was terrible yet it's getting so much praise. The first two Deadpool movies had more heart.

I haven't had any myself and am loving going around Bromley my old Borough. But stay away from the Glades shopping centre those cultists kick ass with their baseball bats. lol great job btw. I cannot get it to play on my rog ally though that crashes as soon as the first cutscene with dr who starts. But my PC no problems thank god. Please fix ROG ally.

@@Cosmic-Wanderer Yes, I'm the 2D animator. Sorry but consoles don't support mods that large, at least Playstation doesn't. I think heard that Xbox upgraded their modding capabilities but I'm not a console, so I'm not sure what's going on there.

@@yeti112a potential option if you guys are looking at console support is to split up the mod assets if possible into multiple mods that work together, similar to “Beyond Skyrim: Bruma” for Skyrim, either way GREAT looking mod, may have to pick up Fo4 on PC just for this 😁

I had the game quit to windows when I tried to to use the run button (I play using Xbox controller) yesterday that seemed to fix itself and Fallon thank you for a fantastic project well done 👍

8:24 The VAs for these two scientists at the intro are actually both former Doctor Whos, Colin Baker and Sylvester Mccoy. As a brit the voice acting is on point, they've managed to get all sorts of authenticly acted dialects so it feels very immersive.

What im really happy about is the authenticity of the locations. Like, the Churchill Library has these two keys just lying around, a broken monitor with a safe behind it that is hidden from the hammer that caused the damage on the terminal. Another one was the bowling place where you read about them getting more and more broke and when you check the safe of course its empty, because the game dont try to pesterize you with the mandatory reward at any location you visit. It is truly a breath of fresh air, i love it.

I agree: If we can't have a little grace for something that people did in their free time, what are we doing? What Team FOLON has achieved here is something that is to be commended. Yes, the bugs are annoying, but how many times have we been irritated with BGS? The fact they were able to pipeline a game that even comes close to what BGS has accomplished SHOULD be celebrated!

During a name your favorite games for 2024 on Discord, I put Fallout: London and got a bit of sass saying "that's just a mod." No it's not. It's a whole new game using the Fallout 4 framework. To call this "just a mod" is a disservice to what the FOLON team put out. Buffout 4 is a must-have. I'd also recommend the Churchill fix mod that fixes a major bug with London's favorite doggo (though it was cool to see Dogmeat make an inadvertent appearance).

Fallout London with 3 mods, Buffout 4, long loading time fix, and weapon debris fix have given me a pretty damn spotless experience. In 14 hours of play I've had 3 crashes.

I use buffout 4, high fps physix and weapon debris also. Installed weapons debris a bit into the game after crashing at the same place and havent crashed again since. Currently 30 hours playtime

If this is Fallout 5, Bethesda has sunk to the lowest depths. It's by far the worst "Fallout" I've played, and that includes FO4 and FO3. What most youtubers don't show is how the game starts falling apart after 10-15 hours.

Everyone keep in mind that this mod was created with Crash Engine. It will crash at some point. I'm using Buffout 4 along with the script preloader and Long Load screen Fix with the GOG version and it's been very stable for me. But it WILL crash. Expect it.

Don't use Long Load Screen fix. It will corrupt the textures over time, causing the game to crash more often. I've even heard that it can corrupt saves as well. Use High FPS fix instead.

Its a pre bethesda next gen update dlc, so they'll need to release a patch to catch up with that update. Overall its great, its free and great quality. I rarely defend anything gamewise, but these i will. Bethesda should definitely get these on their payroll.

@AttakusZakus it's cheaper for them to have them release mods without paying or supporting them financially. Bethesda are lazy, which is why they release so many of their games in such a state because they know the modding community will usually fix their mess. Without the modding community their pretty much nothing these days. They've gotten accustomed to being propped up by them. The biggest example i can think of besides Fallout4 is Fallout76. It took them nearly 5 years to fix the game, and even then, the majority of that came from the unpaid modding community. The Fallout London modders have a donation option to which i donated a generous sum because they deserve it for the passion and hard work they put into it. It's like a new game, and the authenticity of the English accent and the overall English feel to it (visited many times) is incredibly accurate. If you decide to try it, it's tougher than Fallout 4 but worth it.

Buffout 4 solved all my crash and FPS related issues. Since then, it honestly feels like a full on fallout game, like the sort of thing that isnt really even a fan project anymore, but a full compleate experience. I also perticulerly enjoy how the modders managed to mesh what works in fallout 4 and new vegast together, from perks to the world it feels like the world is interconnected. IN many ways, this is whht i wished starfield was, and perhaps one day will be. This feels like a full fledged game and experience, not dlc or a overhaul, but a brand new game that creative and dedicated people are putting out int he world for free because of their love of a franchise, like so many of us. Kudos to them and i highly recomend supporting the mod !

Ref the train crash A work-round save game before the train exits Fallout London, then load Fallout 4. Turn down the visual setting to low, exit, go back to Fallout London, then ride the train, save, reset the visual in Fallout 4, then go back to Fallout London. This worked for me. The location are outstanding, as there are a lot of places in the game that I have been to in real life, and that adds to the experience. So 10 out 10 bugs all

I found a dead Minuteman while exploring. Not sure how he got to London, but I found it funny. I know it's years later, but this is how F4 should have been made. I'm using the Steam version and other than a few hiccups I've not had many issues. To be honest. It crashes a lot less that the current version of F4. I think you should remember that this was made by fans not Bethesda and they still kicked it between the goal posts.

Runs perfectly for me now (aside from the occasional random crash, sometimes after hours). Buffout, Loading times fix, and High FPS Physics mods were needed for me to get stability. I'm running the Steam version and didn't get a crash on train sequence. No crashes at all in the first 5 hours. I'm 20 hours in and have had some since then, but just reverting to the previous save bypasses them. I've only covered about 1/4 of the map, it's huge. Not only does it run smoother and better than base Fallout 4, it looks amazing. This is Fallout 5 as far as I'm concerned. If someone said Bethesda made this and called it Fallout 5, I wouldn't question it at all. The quality is incredible, the quest design is engaging, and the world is packed with stuff. I wish there were more settlement building locations, but I am thankful they included settlements. And thankfully no Preston Garvey to nag about them!

I've been playing a lot since the release and enjoying it a lot. Yes, it crashes, but fallout 4 still crashes today. Other than a last gen graphics engine, this rivals most releases that have happened this year. For a free mod, this is high praise indeed. I think they did the fallout universe proud because it does feel very right... if I were Bethesda, I'd try to hire this crew and let them do a future aaa release that expands the universe officially outside of America with the full technical and financial resources Microsoft can provide.

Full Credit to the FOLON team here, as a Brit from London the slang makes perfect sense to me but interesting to hear what you said about playing Fallout in a new location, and would ask Bethesda why is the game reserved for US only? For instance and Auz version with a Kangaroo companion that boxes, and a Black Widow Spider the size of a truck. Going on what they have achieved here i would hire the FOLON team it's worthy of a Addon produced by Bethesda easily and i would say more so. It took me a whole day to get this set up but so far it’s been great. I still get the occasional crash from exiting interiors and another bug where Churchill can’t follow you after dismissal. The experience outside of that has been stable though.

Regarding Buffout requirement. Buffout is a performance and memory optomization mod. Any mod as big as Fallout London is really going to need Buffout. In fact any PC fallout 4 player that's playing with any more involved mods ought to already have it.

Bad news for you, Matty. That coaster you picked up from the Hound tavern is bugged and cuts your damage by 50%. There's a console command you can put in the game to remove the bugged perk it gives you. Fallout London's reddit channel has a pinned thread that has the solution to fix it.

I'm loving it so far. Yeah, the crashing is frustrating but the world and the story has made me persevere. I'm hoping they can get it to a more stable situation. I'm also interested in the idea of modders adopting it as a new place to build in. Patching their older mods to fit into the world and even some if the guys who make quest mods telling stories in London as opposed to The Commonwealth. Some might see the new location as restricting but others might find it liberating, being able to write stories that don't need to take into account The Brotherhood of Steel, NCR, The Enclave and the Institute.

The Crashes Maybe this has something to do with the game being developed for years on the old Fallout engine and then, just before they finished it, Bethesda updated the game heavily. Given how ducktaped the original games are, its no wonder than any single change can break the game. Its really unfair to rate it low, because this is not a commercial product. Context matters. I've been having fun with Fallout London, I just wish there was an easier/faster way to set it up in Steam. I worked on getting it to work properly for nearly six hours straight, and still had to download another mod to fix a crashing issue. I think I'm going to put it aside until it's a bit more stable.

Almost 8 hours in it and it's fantastic! I liked it so much that I donated to the team after around 2 hours of play time! The visuals and audio (voice acting, radio) are very nice and really create the impression of a full title, not just a mod! Congratulations!

I am loving Fallout London, or, as I call it, Fallout Dark Souls. My character dies a lot. :D But it's Fallout, so I am having fun. The visual style is awesome. Some of the conversations are hilarious. I like the creepy feeling of wandering around at night. The tense feeling of wandering around during the day and not knowing when the next Hooligan (or whatever) is going to pop up with their gang and slaughter me. I have made the Jack Tars my nemeses and have wiped out two nests of them so far. After installing a few mods and doing some tweaks I've got the crashing down to maybe once every two hours. I'm running the game on Linux and have posted a complete manual installation how-to in the Steam discussions in case anyone needs help with that. If you are stuck at 30fps, make sure you are in full screen. For some reason borderless windowed caps you at 30. (Or at least it capped me and a few friends). Edit: P.S. I enjoyed the directional audio. Makes it feel more like I'm actually there

I love the game and after installing Buffout 4 and the fast loading mod it runs perfectly fine. Exploring is as fun as it can be. The world is just beautifully done. In Combat you have to take a much slower approach early on and i think that is a lot of fun. Later you become a powerhouse if you play your cards right. A view points in Strength and melee can help on a first playthrough but i am gonna play a sneaky sniper with relativly low endurance on my next playthrough. A good sniper weapon solved most boss encounters early on so i gues with the right perks it's gonna be super fun.

I’m running a 4070 with an I-9 processor so the frame rate is pretty smooth for me. After I took care of the crashing issue I only had two small things go wrong so far. One is during the dialogue sometimes it trips on itself where the previous sentence of dialogue overlaps with the next sentence. It’s not a huge issue and it doesn’t happen all the time. Another thing that is happening is that it’s speeding up inside some buildings. Again, not a huge issue. I’m just so happy the devs at FOLON made this. I just finished dragons dogma two and I need a new world to explore. I can’t play fallout three and four and fallout nv or Skyrim again. As much as I love those games I put in collectively at least 2000 hours between the them and I can’t play them again.

If, by any chance, you’re running the game at more than 60fps then try installing High FPS Physics Fix, I think that was what fixed these issues for me.

to me Fallout London is THE reason that if you hadnt gotten Fallout 4 before, NOW is the time to get it. only complaint i have is that you have to get it via Steam and no other means, as you need a Hi-Def Graphics Pack that changes a lot of the base game's graphics.

I swear I followed the manual download to the T. The second time I did install Buffout4 before playing. I get some textures not loading that are purple but it's 1% of the time so whatever.

Buffout 4 completely fixes the crashes. Shadowboost FO4 will improve the fps issues and you're pretty much done. Long Load time fixer will fix your load times and highly recommend High FPS fix if you want to play uncapped at 60+ fps. I'm also using an ENB+reshade and 70 other mods and absolutely no crashes. If you're an experienced modder probably won't have any issues at all. Speaking of Voice acting, they've got a couple of professional industry veterans. Fun Fact Neil Newborn the VA for Astarian in BG3 is in this mod.

I do wish fallout 4 on Xbox had starfield levels of storage for mods and Xbox/Bethesda worked with these guys to get the mod working on Xbox without the extra mods they need to run this. I'd buy this for like 20 dollars on console to support these guys.

@@ras6794 Well that is indeed one of the great things with life, we can all have our own opinions. Also not just Bethesda, but Bethesda along with Obsidian, Black Isle Studios and Interplay made Fallout what it is today. I also completely agree, without the actual game and engine of Fallout 4, this mod is not possible but as a fan and gamer I am enjoying this mod more than Fallout 4 and Fallout 76 hands down. Bethesda would be wise to hire these talented people. Take care.

I'm loving FOLON it reminds me allot of vanilla FONV, it doesn't hold your hand and you start out leaving the starting area with very little equipment. You have to scrounge hard for ammo and money forcing you to explore allot. BGS can learn allot from these guys on how to make an enjoyable FO game. Sure there are a few glitches and crashes but that's part of the FO experience. In my 7 hours of play I've yet to encounter a game breaking bug so they are doing well.

I get the whole "They did it for free in their spare time" thing, but still if a game/mod is crashing every few minutes, it deserves a low score so that people are aware of it and that the devs are pressured to fix it. Like saying "Oh it's a 9/10, but you'll hate it because it constantly crashes, BUT it was free so shut up and deal" doesn't make sense. The good will should be reflected in not attacking the devs and instead just giving constructive criticism/feedback (as should be done with all dev teams, but the internet is gonna internet), not in absolving them of said criticism.

I had zero problems with the mod because I did what they recommended from the start on the downgrade page, installed multiple well known mods that everyone in the fallout modding community knows are essential like buffout and others.

Sure, you can tell the influence from the BUF, but at the same time they actually wrote it in a way that it makes clear the members all want the best for London and Britain as a whole.

Yeah most when writing groups like that go out of their way to make them seem like the worst possible group ever, they let their real world bias seep into what they’re creating, kind of like the people who made that massive fallout new Vegas mod.
