If RPGs are your thing, you're in the right place meaning if you can level up in it, I'll be covering it. Historically, I create content for anything Fallout, Elder Scrolls, Mass Effect, Cyberpunk 2077, The Witcher, or Star Wars related, but it doesn't stop there. I do in-depth reviews, thoughtful discussions, walkthroughs, guides, tips/tricks, tutorials, and speculation, if that is your jam.
21:03 to be fair, Enotria: The Last Song's trailer was really only there to get some more eyes on the game and get people curious about the demo. Yea, they 100% could have included some gameplay but yea. They already shown gameplay a year ago at a different event, this was more so just more marketing. As for the game itself, it's a really neat souls-like, the demo was a lot of fun.
The 2 companion thing sounds like a red flag to me. Less companions in your party means less dialogue between companions and less companion contribution to scenes/ conversations. Which has always been an enjoyable part of the series. Also, only two companions means less tactics. Sounds like combat is going to be more hack n slash and less of origins. I thought the success of Baldurs gate 3 would make bioware revert back to the style of their older games, but I guess not. Origins is my favorite game, but my expectations for this are low.
My predictions Whats guaranteed to be shown. Stalker 2 Avowed Fable Clockwork Indiana Jones Fallout 76 dlc Sea of Thieves expansion BO6 (obviously) Starfield Expansion What we'll Probably see New Doom Towerborne All Cod's on gamepass Phasmophobia release Silksong Perfect Dark Possible but unlikely Fallout 3/New vegas or Oblivion remastered. New Banjo game MGS3 gameplay trailer Finally Fantsy game on Xbox
I’ve found myself less and less hyped for these thing. I’m only ever interested in like 15% of what’s shown. I’m better of watching recaps like these than wasting 2 hours.
I don’t think you guys get it. It cost way more money than you think to put on one of these shows and when it comes time to give out awards or to do advertising, guess what the ads win because that’s where the money comes from I know we want to hear the developers speak and give a great Acceptance speech but guess what that doesn’t bring in money. You imagine if Jeff stopped doing anything how sad would you be then. Everyone would be saying it’s so bad. We don’t have anything now you should be thankful for what you have because it was supposed to be gone, remember E3 is no more the big publishers. They don’t hold award ceremonies if you didn’t have his show you wouldn’t have anything. There is too much criticism going around now. You better be thankful for what you have because if he ever stopped hosting any of these shows those developers you want to hear go on stage and say thank you. They wouldn’t do anything. They’d be sitting at home. Sad but it is true. Spending money to put on game award shows it’s not a lucrative business. You don’t make millions doing it.
I have to say this game pass is that deal. Out of the blue I just say, let me see what’s on Game Pass today. Octopath Traveler 1&2 Lords of the Fallen Hellblade 2 Jedi Survivor every recent Tomb Raider don’t get me wrong. I check often to see what is here, but I did not expect the games to get dumped on me like this. What am I going to do? How am I going to play two RPG in a weekend?
My bar for every showcase is "are there at least three games here that I want to at least watch someone play" and there were three in the Blumhouse section alone lol. It wasn't a jaw dropping show, the end was pretty bad aside from Monster Hunter, but it was still miles better than that State of Play. It was a B- to C show for me.
Would have been well-received (even if just a tech demo) if it had released in 2020. It looked insane and the story was great, but it didn’t leave me in the same manner as the first. The first was just badass, like God of War and Dante’s Inferno meet Tomb raider. The second felt more like Death Stranding with a God of War atmosphere. The Beowulf-type story and graphics had everything you could want for a period-piece game but the mechanics felt like The Quarry to me, like an interactive movie/game. I installed it after I finished it but I don’t have any hate for it. Just felt like once it was over, it was over. Still have love for the devs and franchise but there wasn’t anything there as far as replay-ability goes, even The Quarry had multiple different choices and outcomes that warranted a second play through for most people.
I went into the show with no expectations at all, and I enjoyed it. The big focus on indies and solo devs was what won me over. Also, why no mention of Day of the Devs, or the Devolver Direct?
i liked it, but when they added the "speed up" function, the veil has lifted - it was too obvious how empty and lifeless the world is...on the other hand - loved the party AI, builds etc.
sorry to say this matty... but what the FCK did you expect? virtue signaling is more important than creating awesome games... and thats why this fkin industry is collapsing... because of all the WOKE bs... and the ESG moneys.
Civ 7 and Phantom Blade got me hyped, and I can’t lie I am excited at the prospect of a new quidditch game, it looked like a janky PS2 game and honestly that is exactly what I want from it, a worthy successor to Quidditch World Cup on PS2
Bandai confirmed the dlc packs for sparking zero will include Super Hero and Daima content. I assume the 3rd pack would be something like OG dragon ball, GT, or Movies (whichever is lacking in the base roster). Hopefully the dlc includes new story content along with the characters
I am not buying Dragon Age The Veilguard to support Mass Effect 5 l am a big fan of both series and was planning to buy both Dragon Age The Veilguard and Mass Effect 5 games anyway
Dread Wolf was a cool name, but the new name is totally understandable and will make much more sense for their story. Dread Wolf would’ve kept the focus of the entire game around 1 single protagonist, so I feel the new title gives the game more freedom and flexibility for a broader game.
This video was 10 days ago but l saw a Dragon Age Dreadwolf Huge Update video the other day and in the video they said they are changing the name From Dragon Age Dreadwolf to Dragon Age The Veilguard some fans weren’t happy about this name change because many fans like the name Dreadwolf better me included it just sounds cooler but after seeing the video l can understand why they changed it and l am fine with the new name the other news is there is suppose to be a new Gameplay reveal video coming out on Tuesday June 11th which is 3 days from now according to the video l saw the other day
I am so glad they took a stand against what has been happening in the industry. Even showing their support for alternative game options and makers. Not much I was interested in game wise Big names still use cinematic trailers too much without showing us actual game play. We should be positive about the turn away from huge studios!
Geoff had egg on his face in regards to the game awards. He knew he had to save face by spotlighting the indies games. Let’s see what he does with this year’s game awards for Indies game developers.
Over arching theme I got from this show is the way we need to think about the industry needs to shift. Big AAA isn’t sustainable anymore and I don’t think it really needs to be for us to really enjoy this hobby. Like many industries tech has evolved to where a lot of old models are obsoleted and people have a lot more reach than they use to and it going to let more smaller projects shine
I think nowadays no matter what they woulda put out there on this show the majority of gamers weren’t going to be satisfied. I think it’s less about a lack of interesting titles and more about a lack of interest in general because I think most average core gamers have hit a wall of diminishing returns. We’ve had no scarcity of games to play over the last 3 console generations and I think many people are just burned out or just gotten harder to get that same dopamine rush because of over exposure
