Holy cow they look amazing. Now I gotta run out to my garden and give mine a dose of fertilizer 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I tried putting onions in weird places all over the gardens and yard. Thinking maybe I will find a spot that they love more than others…. So far my brassica bed is their preferred bed. Which makes sense because I feed that bed a lot. Thank you for sharing

The only thing I know for sure is that onions don't care for clay soil lol. I hope your garden is doing great and thanks for watching.

Jon, those onions look great! Congrats on another success-it’s always nice when our labors pay off. Did you get a new camera? Lighting and video is really clear…love it

Bill, thanks for the kind words. You're right. It is a great feeling when you have success. I didn't get a new camera, I did change some settings, but I'm not the best when it comes to figuring out technical stuff. I'm glad you liked it. Can't wait to see if my onions get any size to them. Thanks for watching.

Hey guys, I can't believe how big my onions have gotten. What I did differently from last year really helped. Let me know what you think. Thanks for watching.

John. Your need to take the dirt away from your onion bulbs. Basically just leave the roots in and about 1/3 of the white part. Expose the rest so the bulb will get bigger. When completely leaving the white part/bulb in the ground it makes it hard for the onion bulb to expand. And trim those bent tops back or your onions will not keep expanding the bulb.

Thanks for the comment. Bear in mind that I'm not an expert when it comes to onions, but in this video and in other onion videos I've made, I have received advice different from yours. The only thing to do is make another video and do a comparison. Thanks for sharing. I appreciate it.

@jonbussey5353 No problem, only way we learn is to try different ways. Depends on alot of factors. Good luck with your gardening this year, it's always challenging for us all. New tips, new tricks ect. Alot Depends on mother nature.

I'm interested in seeing if there is a difference. You're very correct. Trying different things is how we learn. I'm going to do a little more research add in the next day or two, make a video trying different things. You're also right about Mother nature, we've been getting a lot of rain, making it hard to plant. Thanks for sharing.

They look huge, have you thought about trimming the onions ? MIgardener recommends it. I think the reason is if they fall over they will stop growing?

Well, I've never had onions this big, so I had no idea. Thanks for sharing. Maybe I'll cut some and see if they keep growing. Great comment, and thanks for watching.

@janericvelure6883 I appreciate the comment. Hearing different points of view makes me want to read more about it, and then I can try what I've learned in my garden to see if it works. Thanks for sharing.
