I agree Cindy. I have a whole cabinet of mugs and none of them match. They were all gifts to me and every morning when I take one out for the day, it reminds me of the person that gave it to me. I really do remember every one. :-) It's a happy thing for me.

OMG I feel your pain, when we moved to FL, I had to bring so many docs because of marriage, name change, SS card, proof of residency docs. Proof of car insurance, and they actually had to come out to the parking lot to check the Vin # on my car. Crazy stuff just to get a FL driver's license and car tag.

Danni you have such an amazing son! He is such a kind heart & good spirit! I would have been in tears also when thinking our babies are not being treated right. Give him a big hug for me. I hate the dmv. When I had to renew my license last time it took me 3 days and 3 times waiting in line to have all the right stuff! It was aggravating!!!!

I am 80 and still have my original Soc. Sec. card and it says " not to be used for identification purposes," Wonder when they changed that rule?🇺🇲💕

Awww...hugs to you both. Noah did seem to handle the situation well. He's a good kid. It's just life...things happen, but I KNOW what little consolation that can be sometimes. I am going thru something myself this week and want to crawl under a rock, but this too will pass. There's always shopping, right? Even better if you have yourself a Kari to go with. We all need a Kari.

My family went camping all the time when I was a kid, and we had a couple of those coffee pots - or percolators as they said. They were made for camping and could be used directly over the fire. Those old food containers were very handy when camping, also.

We got SS cards for our kids shortly after they were born, they were needed for us to claim them as dependents on our taxes and before our kids got their first jobs they had to present their SS for their federal and state paperwork - maybe it's different state to state

Speaking as someone who formerly worked for the Region VI Office, based in Dallas TX, of the Social Security Administration, the ONLY way to be issued a Social Security NUMBER is to be issued a Social Security CARD! There must have been a card issued in your past that you received but have forgotten about. I wish you speed and luck in getting Noah’s replacement for his SS card. Noah’s attitude always a healthy one!

As a mom, I wanted to reach out and hug you. I saw the tears you were holding back. I know how much it sucks when we can't make everything perfect for out children. Noah is such a great kid. Just take a deep breath and go apply for his Social Security Card. It will take a while longer but his dream of racing is still gonna happen. Keeping ya'll in my prayers. My 18 year old just went through all the DMV stuff. Permit test, pernit, road test. We fine tooth combed the instructuons and even brought extra things! Then he bought a truck; went through the insure, register, inspect process... And the truck blew a rod less than a month later! His grandparents chipped in and we got a new motor in it....WHEW! Noah has a good attitude! Better than I had during all that stress-mess!

So sorry about the permit incident. It's frustrating when one little thing causes something not to get done. Noah, you have the best attitude. Take a breath, get what you need and go back. When there's nothing that can be done, you're good to roll with it. No sense getting upset, it just doesn't do any good. Not too much longer and you'll " get permit done". I went on their web-site when I needed to replace my lost license and they had all the info on what is required, along with other services. I hope things get better soon for you Dani and Noah 💐

It says online a ss card is required. They don't want people getting permits/licenses in other people's names. It's for everyone's identity protection.

I’m so glad you saved the old glass bowl in the beginning. I like it too. The lamps are beautiful. Glad you found the other ivy lamp. I really was surprised when you said you hadn’t noticed it!! Hope Rachel likes what you got her. I’m always telling my kids that same phrase Those entangled pigs were up to no good. Think they were makin bacon! Oh do I understand your frustration. I am 81 years old. I have had a drivers license since I was 18. As my eyes are not quite what they used to be I no longer drive so instead of just giving me an identity card they require a birth certificate and everything I used to get my original license. Noah is a champion.

Great goodies, and life lessons! Same happened to one of my sons- we were short a document. Great pivot Noah💪🏻 and Danni, of course in the middle of everything else going on, it felt like a huge WOMP WOMP. Re 18+ minute mark: Hudson’s was a department store in Detroit in the 1950’s. My parents used to take us there Christmas time to see all the decorations in the store and shop.

Cyd in MD. You said you like to learn things. Here goes. At video time approx. 32:35ish you make note of two tall glass pieces. I bought mine over 30 years ago. They are vintage clear glass shelf supports as were used in old time pharmacy shops. There are examples online. I see they are now asking more than double what I paid for mine.

My daughter, who is now 40, failed her drivers behind the wheel test 2x. The 1st time I understood because she wasn't really ready. She was 16 and even drove over a curb on the way to take the test. But the 2nd time she was 17 1/2 and was ready but the mean lady at the DMV said she failed cause her shoes probably got in her way of driving properly!!!!! I said "did she have them on her hands?" The 3rd time, 2 weeks later, a man gave her the test and she passed! So, you at least didn't fail. You were just lacking a social security card and by the time you're old enough to collect social security the well will be all dried up. It's actually dried up now but they just print fake money so we can get it. So, you handled it like the mature young man we know you are and we love you for it!!!!!

I totally understand how frustrating it is about Noah's driving permit thing. Our youngest son was supposed to be taking his driving test. But I didn't realized that I did not have an updated card on the car insurance. So we had to reschedule the driving test. I was more upset than my son was. It will happen soon enough. Our kids grow up way too fast.

Hi Noah. My 19 year old granddaughter just took her drivers test or the second time and passed this time. First time she failed the backing up part. So, you keep moving forward, don't let anything stop you. You will succeed honey. We all love you.💙👍💙

I have that same exact green egg/veggie platter. It is vintage glass. Also, when we moved to Ohio, I had to get my marriage license from my first marriage, which was 20 years ago. Not only that but it was in Houston and that agency had been hit by that HUGE hurricane, years ago. Took me FOREVER, to actually find a copy. The basement that held all the filed documents had been completely under water. It was a NITEMARE.
