Getting stuck on a sand dune in your backyard… trailer battery’s dead… the rollback spewing fumes like mount Etna… there’s nothing you can do but jump in that pool. cool down, grab ice cream, and watch Riley play-without-her-tablet. PS David must be having the best summer!

Just a note: make sure the oil is changed before driving it again. The stuck injector is flooding the cylinder and it makes the oil thin and not able to do its job. Good luck! 🍀

There was one thing that I did hear very clearly towards the end of this - even with all the crap that the rollback has done, and all the other things that have gone bad, the love for Riley shined through it all. Even with all the miserable things, the high heat that sucks your energy, you still prevail in making Riley's beach better for her. Kudos to you and David for making a little girl's dream for her.

@@Bryan-HensleyIt's more about the service centre not finding and identifying the problems/faults ,and not being on their game. Like many ways of today's thinking ,one has to do things yourself ,to get it done correctly as also the RU-vid mechanical data base lends to no confidence in the so called qualified workshops that are working on your truck/cars etc.

Part of this is on Casey, it's not the optimal thing to only do 1 injector... you're usually better off doing the set. That said, the loose rocker was stealership/shitshop 100%.

@@SPD_driver Eric O from South main auto gas a good saying "just because it's new doesn't mean it's good "that from many years experience with repairs and new parts not being any good . The whole parts thing and the high prices adds to the "just do the faulty injector thing ,and why are these parts so prone to being faulty . Add to this is Casey's experience with trucks and trucking . Now if your saying he should just go ahead and replace the full set of injectors,one must use the old saying,"if it ain't broke,don't touch it ! He has already lost income from the truck being at the dealership/service centre ,so the thought of shelling out thousands more may not be all that appealing

@thatdave86 injectors in the modern engines, and yeah 2005 counts, are usually a better bet to do in sets. There's other things in play, and aa you say, Casey captains the ship. I can't say with any kind of certainty without knowing the maintenance history of the truck. Are the injectors original? Were any replaced previously? How old is each? Any prior fuel issues? Was there ever fuel contamination or anything else that would prematurely wear injectors? He's stated it's a red lump, do likely am X, maybe an L. I also made another post about new=/=good, same references and my own experience too.

I built a swimming Oasis like that for my family. I put tiki torches around the perimeter and it transformed the entire pool area into a tropical paradise. It's cheap and it makes a huge difference.

i do love that truck. we got rid of all our computer trucks and even put old style engines in newer bodies so we would not go broke due to constant failures.

Agree. It was not illegal back then and also depending on what state you live in. Never an issue and we passed all state and federal inspections at the time. Love the videos I just think for what newer stuff costs these days it should be more reliable than old truck not much less reliable. We did not do transplants on emission year trucks. I only owned one truck that had a reburn system on it and after 100k miles the first year and 20 times on a wrecker back to the shop in the first year we dumped it at an auction. Never again. There have been some class action lawsuits against some manufacturers due to very poor quality on ecm newer trucks costing people to lose their businesses. Best wishes love the videos and all you do for family and to help others. I really like the older ford wrecker personally. I miss mine. Should have never sold it. I have one old one left a 95 f350 crewcab with a motorhome cummins installed.

Your pickup is already wired to supply power to your trailer, just connect the battery from the trailer to the existing power lead on the 7way trailer plug. Never have to worry about dead battery ever.

I would find a new mechanic that actually test drives and understands the truck. I have always had all injectors replaced just like spark plugs in gas engines. This is just do to the fact of wear. In my case with changing all I have had less down time and they are already in there not much more time as far as labor. I enjoy your videos and hope you get the truck back up and running.

My wrecker just had a similar problem. Come to me find out it was the fuel pump AND there was debris in one of the fuel lines (I think it was a T connector) that has a small mesh filter in it. I'm back to full power now. Good luck!!

You can wire a 7 pin coupler so it charges the battery whenever it's plugged into the truck. That saves on buying a battery every year and keeps it at full charge if it's used a lot.

Not sure if there’s a better way but my dad had a pj 20 foot tilt deck which he used as a back up for when his rollback had issues. To keep the battery charged, he just rigged a very long jumper cable to connect the truck battery to the trailer battery, going under the bed and up into the engine bay so it could always stay on while driving. Just positive to positive. I’m sure you can wire something more professional but the benefit was that the trailer battery was always perfectly charged and I’m assuming it also had more power from being able to use the truck’s battery/alternator to provide more as needed.

That sucks about your rollback Casey and I know I would be heated if I had to bring my truck back to the same dealership for the same issue that should've been fixed correctly the first time, it's like these people are not even checking their work before they give it back to you. I'm surprised you don't have more than one set of jumper cables, you should always keep a set of jumpers in every vehicle just in case for scenarios like that.

How thick is your oil still ? Bad injectors can spray too much diesel, so it's not burning properly, and thinning your oil. Thin oil will destroy your turbo !

It is the spikes on the rollback that is the rollback issue. Your problems started when you put them on.

Hey Casey you probably already thought of this but an idea to deal with your dead battery problems I’ve done in the past is just run a wire from your 12v+ accessory wire from your trailer plug wire to the battery on the trailer so when it’s plugged in it runs and charges off your truck batteries if your worried about draining them just throw an isolator on the trailer so it will only pull power when truck is running

The truck already supplies 12v to the trailer to charge the battery, that's what my truck does for my toy hauler, I'm Surprised the trailer manufacturer didn't take advantage of this, on a side note, keep up the good work Casey, seeing this video makes me feel better in knowing that I'm not alone in having days like this.

Question Does your smaller recovery truck have the horsepower to recover vehicles. While your roll back is in the shop. Also for future use. In case the rollback has a service or other work needed. Always good to have a backup for your backup

Nice video Casey!! Yup, some days are like that. I know exactly how it feels. I've had (still have) my share of those day when it doesn't seem to pay to get out of bed. But you don't know until you try so on we go... Tomorrow will be better!! The bright side is that your Oasis is looking pretty darn good. The next video will be Casey trying to get all the sand out of the pool. Sand will stick to wet feet until they get into the water, then it'll promptly fall to the bottom. To solve the problem put a kiddy pool in front of the ladder so the sand falls into it instead.

If that is a sticky injector, stop driving it. It can score the cyl walls. Also there is a throttle valve that could be sticking! Keeping my fingers crossed for you!
