Suffering from ‘selfie dysmorphia’, Lucy O’Grady scrimped and saved to afford cosmetic procedures, hoping they’d make her look more like her photoshopped self. A recent study revealed increasing numbers of cosmetic surgery patients have been encouraged to go under the knife by images on social media, while The British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons has seen a 13% rise in the number of women having procedures in 2017, with photoshopping apps and filters largely to blame. Lucy, along with Dan Marsh, a cosmetic surgeon who says 1 in 10 of his patients suffer from ‘selfie dysmorphia’, join Holly and Phillip in the studio.
