Gary and Cassie, I love seeing your children outside playing in the good clean country air. That’s how I was raised.

Take the big zucchini and slice in half long ways, scoop out the seeds. Mix hamburger, rice and onion soup mix. Put matzarella cheese in the zucchini, add tomato sauce, add the hamburger and rice mixture put back together wrap in aluminum foil and grill it. I also bake it in the oven at 350° for 30-35 minutes. Let cool a little and slice and eat. We call them zucchini boats.

Ranger is entitled to be exactly who he is..he doesnt need to be chatty,he is the quiet type for now,but always respectful, kids tend to not like whatever it is theyre parents are in to as they hit teen years..he will follow his own path but always know where his home truly is.❤ Birthday blessings when the day comes young man.

Gary, I have never said this but I am 64 years old and when you said that you didn’t like to make the sad videos do you like to make the upbeat videos keep in mind some people need to watch you interact with your children and helping them deal and cope with farm life. Maybe they can take what you are teaching them and use it to help their children whether you know it or not that does help out when you do show the good the bad and the ugly, a lot of family struggle how to interact with their children and you guys have such a good way of communicating with yours that it would help plenty of others if you did show the good the bad and the ugly just the word of wisdom, but I understand why you do what you do and why you do it but I just wanted to plant that seed

Teenagers are a different breed. I have 4 boys and they were all different and we survived. I had noticed he had become quieter over the last few videos and thought that he had started those teenage years. He is a wonderful boy in a strong family and he will be ok. Definitely pick the battles and keep the communication lines open.

Sometimes life changes with teenagers, nine did. I hope you get your baby donkey. My mom never had a donkey but she had mules on her farm. When I was a teenager, my mom always plowed her garden with a mule. I miss my mom ,I am now almost 76 .God bless the Walker family

Gary, Teenager...whoop-whoop...My two sons learned a few tricks and neccesities...Vaccuming, Dusting every two weeks( both were into sports) Each learned to cook their favorite meals and change it as they wanted to. It became a Sunday Event to have both of my sons bring friends home and they cooked and taught their friends recipes. There was always extra places at the table for buddies to have a meal with us and it made great memories for everyone. One buddy got a job as Sous Chef when he was in college...You have to take that step back and let the teenager decide what they want to explore. Cheers from Maine.

🐓🐓 I had a Doberman named Scotty. The neighbors had chickens, and would forget to trim the wings. When He saw them fly over, Scotty would chase them and pin them with his mouth. He was waiting for somebody to come get them and put them back. He never hurt them. We did get lots of eggs though. I miss him. 😆😆 He was very gentle. If you went "OW" when you were playing with him he would stop and lick the area.

Use those giant zucchinis for making jams - any flavor jello works, shred or slice either direction & either dehydrate or freeze, add some shreds to brownies &...???? I love the over sized zucchs as much as the smaller ones.

It's the only way to eat watermelon. It just hits the spot. I'm a Georgia girl and that's the only way we eat it. Great garden. Save those ends you cut off the onion and replant. More onions. Same with a tomato. Slice one, lay in some potting soil and lightly cover. More tomatoes. Great project for Mazi. How many plants can she grow from a plant.

The big squash I save the seeds from for next year. Same with the zucchini . My favorites are the smaller, more tender ones. 😊

Cassie, I always salt my watermelon. It is so good. I am from PA. If Gary cuts the seeds out of the large zucchini you can still cook them up. I like yellow squash and zucchini and onions all cooked together in some butter and olive oil. Yummy.

About thise big zuchini; Slice across the zuchini to create 1/2" wide medallions then dredge then in egg and a seasoned coating like bread crumbs, cracker crumbs, Planko, flour with a little bit of cornmeal in it. Bake, cook in a fry pan, on a griddle, and even on the BBQ.

Use the larger zucchini, scoop put the inside leaving about half inch pulp. Fill them with a seasoned ground beef (salt, pepper, onion spaghetti sauce/ bake in oven. Sooooo good. We call them boats.

Cassie, when I was a kid going to visit on my grandparents farm,I would also hypnotize the chickens by holding their beaks to the ground and draw a li e in the dirt from it's beak forward, It would remain motionless for 5-10 minutes 😊 I always thought that was just the neatest thing.

The year I turned 13 - (on July 13th) I joined the church and went to church camp-- - believe me I was never the silent type and this year I turn 77 and I still am not the silent type. I would say having watched Ranger for the last couple of years you have nothing to fear. He is a wonderful kid and someone you will always be proud of. I have learned in all these decades that kids that are raised in church and in sports - - tend to be those that turn out the best. I wish I had raised my boys in church but because we moved so often in the Army those roots weren't put down.

Use the big zucchini to spread to make coolies and bread. Also spread put in jars add pineapple juice. Hot water bath. If a recipe calls for pineapple use this. Just like pineapple. Small zucchini sliced makes good bread and butter pickles. Husband made a mistake and planted 2 packages of zucchini seeds. They all came up. I did everything I could do with them also friend's hated to see us coming.😊

That all looks so good. Just break the squash in two and give to the cows. In Florida they haul loads of green tomatoes from the packing companies to the cattle. I am surprised they eat all kinds of veggies that are seconds from the packing houses.

I have to have the salt shaker also 👍🏻😁 I love fixing our food on the Blackstone, because it’s just much easier for me. During the summer we’re outdoors from sun up until after sundown. Once we get the farm chores done then we usually jump in the pool. If we’re not in the pool then we’re in the garden, or we could be riding on the 4 wheelers or go carts. So yeah it’s much easier to fix something to eat outside, I have a fridge in our pool building so I have it stocked not only with food but also juice, water, etc. Tht way I don’t have o clean water off the floor in the house and it’s just convenient. Hey Gary, if you're kids like tacos, I have a great smash burger recipe. Mix ground beef with a taco seasoning packet (or if you don't have a packet, use chili powder, garlic powder, cumin, and a little cilantro [it's pretty much the same thing, I use that when I'm only making one or two, not a whole pound]). Dice onions, jalapeños, and tomatoes. Mix into the hamburger meat, add a few spoonfuls of your favorite salsa and a handful of cheddar cheese and smash them with a tortilla. When done Top with cheese, salsa, and Shredded lettuce or any other condiments you like. Delicious!!!

I’ve always put salt on my watermelons & I’m almost 76 y o. I also use it on my tomatoes, cantaloupe, naval oranges. The only change I’ve made is switching to Morton’s salt substitute which tastes like the real thing, but is better for my heart.

The zucchini, when that big are still good as long as they are solid. I use mine that are that large to use for making zucchini bars and bread. I just slice them down the middle length wise and scoop out the seeds and then shred them. I put 4 c. in a zip bag and put them in the freezer for a later date. Blessings to you and your family. Those large zucchini’s are perfect for breading and frying. I prefer it over eggplant. Growing up we fried up lots of them. We ate them alone, on hard rolls with lettuce and tomatoes and we made up trays for the freezer as parmigiana. We called it eggplant Parmesan but it was always made with zucchini. To me you can’t tell the difference. We didn’t grow eggplant so I really don’t ever having eggplant until I grew up and had it at restaurants. We made bread too occasionally, I was not a big fan. My mom sometimes made zucchini casserole with eggs, onions and some shredded stale bread or left over cubed potatoes and herbs. Delicious!
