So the bridge Fisk is working on is called a caterpillar bridge, which is a variant of the rope bridge (Classed in suspension style). In the 13th century the Incas used this bridge to expand their influence. Sending swimmer across with rope to the other side, and the construction begins on the other side. The bridge could hold a marching army across it. The Queshuachaca bridge Quehue District, Canas Province, Peru was built in the 16th century. The bridge is renewed annually by the community and the materials used is locally found. This is the oldest Inca style bridge to date. The rolling bridge would not be invented much later around the 18th century in the Victorian era. Now for the caterpillar bridge. This is a fairly new concept that brings properties of the rope bridge and the rolling bridge together which is to keep it light weight with stronger reinforcements. Since it so new, possibly still theoretical, they are holding design competition. So in this game, the tribe would not be able to actually do this style of bridge. I'm loving this game. It reminds me, sort of, visiting my tribe in Vietnam. Every time I go back to the village to see my family, I take a lot of supplies like bags and bags of rice and dried fish etc... They live out in the jungle in the mountain region.
