I had a Golden for over 13 years. I went over her coat with a shedding comb every morning all her life. It took only 5 minutes and kept things tidy.

We had a family friend who lived in a big old house and she kept her dog, Benji's fluff & used it for insulation in her windows. Years after Benji had passed away, he was still keeping her warm.

Jodie, if you want to learn a new craft you could try spinning. A drop spindle isn't too expensive, and Key's fluff would make lovely yarn. As a natural fiber it should take dye well, and it's white enough that you could get some very bright colors if you wanted them.

I just LOL’d when I came to the part where K’ey was wearing his own-hair Afro wig, and I think I heard neighbors above walking towards the part of their unit above mine to listen to what happened (?)! 😂😂😂 His eyes and gaze seem so human, and he seems to know/agree what you need to do. You’re so good and patient, Jodie-I don’t think I’d know where/when to stop, as to once all of the extra fur needing removal had been brushed off! 😮

You could make some Christmas Gnomes with all that fluff. Or send little glass vials of it to anyone that buys something from your merch store. Or try felting little animals with it. You should find someone that can card and spin his fluff into yarn. Firend had this done with their Chow and then made a scarf out of it. It is beautiful till this day 10 years later.

I've got a 8 mos old Pyrenees mix, not ready for the second coat to come in. Still has his puppy coat but his mane is really coming in and fur getting thicker. I love how you balled it up and let it bloom. Shows just how much is in there for our pups insulation.
