Saw the original post Rick & I took a deep sigh. It’s a huge problem in the industry - folk don’t like other folk’s success. The amount of stick & backstabbing we get is crazy. I look at it now as a measure of my success. And then i Ignore it. Move on. All the best!

Know your place …… that phrase was used on me once. I was doing well in a job and senior management came to visit. I was praised and highlighted for the personal touch I had with my team. My team were excelling in an environment that wasn’t expected to be successful. I was basically told that I should know my place and within weeks I was moved by my managers. If you challenge authority it bites back.

Hi love. I have really enjoyed your home updates then came across your video. This rings so true with me. My Mam passed away from breast cancer 5 years ago and our family fell apart. I recently bought a period property to renovate which is beautiful (but needs a lot of work) since then my brother and sister have distanced themselves and haven’t congratulated me on my new home. Then looking back they never congratulated me when I graduated in my career either (or any other success for that matter!) thanks for posting your video as I have been struggling a lot with their attitude towards me, but like in your situation I think it is all jealousy! I have became a background snooper on channel as have a lot going on but you and Shelley are class so fook the haters! Bex xx

Thoughtful video as always Rick. My only frustration is that I knew what pretty much all of the 79 comments (at time of writing) were going to say. You could call them supportive - or maybe predictable. Paradoxically, on RU-vid it’s often the nice comments that you should disregard. Great work Sir.

Great stuff. Keyboard warrior and jealousy came to the fore when obviously pissed. You were right to call it out. For 3 or 4 years, 2 or 3 times a year,I used to come over and stay with a good pal of mine,and a very recognisable figure on the Tenerife Entertainment circuit, and saw and heard all that shit with my own ears, unbelievable! We've a saying here in Scotland, whoever posted it is a FUD! Anyway, fuck the haters, sad people really. The phrase "know your place" is never used in good terms. It's always used to try and keep people down. As for the comment regarding sitting drinking with customers to make their holiday, I challenge that as I have come along a lot of workers who sit with customers/guests as they usually get free drinks.
