After 92 days of incubation, these geckos should be ready to hatch, but they are stubborn. But once I stepped in, these very special babies finally hatched. kind of.... Join the Patreon: / leafystreet
It’s so wholesome seeing you when the eggs hatch. It’s pretty different from the sarcastic humor which is a staple of this channel. On a separate note those babies are beautiful! I wish them well!
As much as these videos are wonderful marvels of nature and wholesomeness, please don’t try to film any genetic offspring of yours being born in the future. You’ll break the camera when you fall and then you’ll have an extra hospital bill and a new camera to pay for 😅
Congratulations! Four healthy babies is such a wonderful result, and I hope there are more to come. Re-nominating Fiji for the dark one, and I love Fingers for the Toes look-alike
Love these two guys. I was so heartbroken when Fuji died and Toes is still being the single mom on the century. I do have some name suggestions. #1: Void #2: Tails
How about “Haku“ for the lighter one? It’s also a volcano/mountain in Japan. This would be a nice reminder of Fuji and the name means “white mountain“ in Japanese.
thank u u gave me the courage to cut my egg because it’s past due date and the egg was super hard so no way he would be able to come out… i was scared but he came out looking healthy and he agreed to eat right away :-) tiny chahoua he so cute
I love these two little doofuses!! It’s always great to see Fuji’s legacy carry on ❤️🦎❤️ For names, all I can think of Pebble and Salt (dunno why, but yeah)
Love them, they’re so gorgeous! I would recommend the names salt 🧂 and pepper since one is light and the other dark! Send our love and congratulations to Toes! ❤
Congrats on more babies!!! Would it be weird to have a gecko named Shoes?😂 and I still think one of them should be named Feets (since you drew a foot on one of the eggs).
While I'd like to think of naming one of the new babies another species of apple in honor of their father, the one that looks clother to toes should maybe be named ankle?
I feel like your "parenting style" is golden advice, applicable for all species of pets AND human babies 🥲 so careful and loving, yet not hovering. 🙇🏼♀️
I am so happy and relieved that everything turned out alright, even with how nerve-wrackingly necessary it was to cut the eggs💜💜💜 I hope the youngest of Fuji and Toes' legacy settle in just as well as their elder siblings and keep on greeting life with a flying leap!✨️💜🦎🦎🦎🦎🦎💜✨️
They are so cute! My hand would definitely also be shaking in that moment. I have some name ideas, For the darker one: Goober or Bacon (because of the little bacon strips) And for the lighter one: Eggs Benedict or Fingers (Eggs Benedict because I feel that he’s to sophisticated for just eggs)
If you wanted to stick with a mountain theme like Fuji's name for these two, you could give them names like Denali and Krakatoa. For some other mountains in Japan, you could call them Haku and Hijiri.
Hi I suggested this name for they other clutch but it never was chosen, from what you've told us Fuji loved apricots so I think the name Apricot would fit one of them well.
i'd name the one who looks like toes "fingers" lol, maybe indo/raptor for the other one cause its colors remind me of the indoraptor from jurrasic world, congrats on the new babies !!! :D
Hey @leafystreet congrats on finnaly hatching from the egg heard yesterday you were still incubating I have a name for one of the baby gargoyles... pooty just like is older brother pupu and peepee.
Will they stay, pretty much the same color when they’re grown? And CONGRATULATIONS!! That must have been really amazing, having them hatch right in your hand! I’m glad the one felt better after. Maybe it was about to suffocate, and you saved its life! It just really needed to catch some breaths, rest and recover.
I usually have very shaky hands but when it comes to cutting reptile eggs for some reason it goes away and it reminds me of this surgeon who had a terrible handshake as well and as soon as he picked up a scalpel it went away That's terrifying
