One thing I would like to point out for the future reviews and "fit and feel" segment, is to ask you to also describe the toebox shapes. This is somehow different to the wide or narrow foot shape. I recently switched from standard footwear to wide toebox shoes (mainly Altras) and while I would consider my foot to be standard or even leaning towards narrow, I can feel my toes squished in most of the football boots out there. It was a nightmare to find a suitable pair (and size!). I went through dozen of models, finally ended up with tiempo 9s pro.

I got a pair oh these and they are amazing. they fit perfectly and are very comfortable. they fit very narrow on the foot, similar to the vapor 10-14. The Vapor 15, for example, unfortunately feels very clunky in my opinion.

I won’t lie. I am actually curious about these Skechers boots. The other ones not so much. But the Razor has tickled my appetite for thin light weight boots. Even as a Mercurial Vapor loyalist, I actually want to give these a go. In addition it could throw off some guys seeing me in Sketchers boots instead of my usual Mercurials. That could be kinda funny. I see the Razor as derivative design. Nothing about these strike me as potentially flawed, they look well put together and finished. Apparently people who worked on the Vapor 14 Elite were involved in developing the Razor, and the Vapor 14 being one of my favorite Mercurials. I noticed on the weight comparison to the Vapor 15, the Razor looks like it definitely has more width in the toebox, forefoot and midfoot next to the Vapor. The overall shape looks similar to the old Vapor 14, or is it just my eyes? Anyways. To me the Vapor 15 is already pretty comfortable, the Razor will probably feel more relaxed and less structured. I expect them to have like no break in time, as in they are good to go out of the box. If these weren’t branded as Sketchers the whole speed boot category would’ve been put on notice.

The only problem with Skechers is they have no takedown model which make it hard for casuals to get a hold of and try out

Sooooooooo here’s my thing. Skechers has to earn their way into my lineup. Coming into the market after putting out VERY subpar copies of other popular brands of shoes and pricing their boots at $225 is not the way to find themselves in my lineup. They should’ve priced these under the competition for a limited period of time as a sale in case people didn’t want to drop that much money on something that was made by Skechers. That being said, I will NEVER wear a pair of these unless they’re given to me or unless Skechers asks me to.

The last pair of cleats I had lasted me 7 years addidas don't know what they're called but they're falling apart. I went to try new cleats yesterday went to several big shops that have large selections nothing felt comfortable everything was extremely tight even the Nike Tiempos felt really bad. These have that look of cleats from 10 years ago which every brand was making comfortable fits for their cleats. Now they're all going with ridiculous designs and saying brand new technology blah blah blah. Stick with what works. Most of them are too tight or the heel rubs or the low cut buts dig into your skin they're all bad

That plastic piece at the back of the sole plate is totally useless. Your heel part of the foot won't bend. It makes sense to put it to the front under the part where your foot bends up went you step, so you get a springy feel when the plastic piece bends back to the original form, but this? What were they thinking?

I don't think I will ever walk into a store and buy a boot called 'skechers' over a nike, adidas, puma or mizuno boot.

I don’t understand the decision to put the “super responsive” piece under the heel. A speed boot is meant to want to keep you on your toes. Why put it somewhere that won’t even be bending or touching the ground when the player is moving at all

I feel bad for wanting to try these because I don’t really want to support skechers

this looks oddly like the blacked out pairs of the alleged upcoming mercurials that some players have been seen wearing
