TYBW spoilers--- I just realized that rain would have been what 'old man Zangetsu' would have seen during his last moments in the first quincy invasion of soul society. The reason for this is that Yamamoto's bankai evaporates all water within soul society, and that this water immediately comes down in the form of rain once he deactivates bankai (as we can see at the end of TYBW ep 6). Rain thus holds symbolism for both Ichigo (the death of his mother) and old man Zangetsu (his own death).

The other reason why he hated the rain is bcuz the night when Masaki got bit by White, it was also raining which connect her pure Quincy blood with hollow and makes her impure.. thus the name of the chapter "Everything But The Rain". Everything connects so beautifully in BLEACH

this is true, but another fact in ichigo's story is that his tragedies occur during the rain. losing his mother, losing to byakuya and rukia's kidnapping, and then losing his powers in FBA, etc. when it rains, ichigo faces pain.

I loved the interactions between Ichigo and Hollow Ichigo/Zangetsu. First Bleach fight I saw in 2008 randomly, it was Grimjoww vs Ichigo and on RU-vids most viewed. The next Bleach episode after that was my favourite with grimjowws past.

Well his "enemy" is completely wrong....weirdly. You would assume Ichigo is Yhwachs enemy but if so why does he lend Ichigo any strengh at all ? It was Yhwach who stopped Ichigos bleeding after the very first fight with Zaraki White didnt have the power of regeneration back then. If Ichigo was his enemy he could have let him die there. Even further down the story Yhwach lends him more and more power and even lets Zangetsu some freedom. Its kinda funny that Yhwach inside Ichigo has a different opinion from the real Yhwach. I mean every single Yhwach inside every single Quincy completely follows Yhwachs command (except Ishida and his father which was never fully explained why) hence why Auswählen works but Ichigos Yhwach for some odd reason does not give a fuck what the original Yhwach wants. I wish Kubo would have explained more why Ichigos inner Yhwach is so different from all the other Yhwachs. I mean because of Yhwach (inner) Ichigo could deliver the final blow against the original Yhwach. Yhwach pretty much killed himself. So yeah i wish Kubo would explain more. The only explaination we got is :" What you want to protect is not what i want to protect Ichigo. What i want to protect....is you." Yeah cool and all but why ? Is there something we are still missing which is gonna be explained in the Hell chapters ?

@@idkmehboi1972 Yhwach is immune after all he is part Hollow aswell. The Soul King has the Raiatsu of Shinigami,Humans and Hollows and Yhwach as his son does so aswell. Just like Ichigo is a Soul King candidate because he has all 3 types of Raiatsu. Aizen who is seen as another candidate cant become Soul King because he isnt a Human (Quincy) does however have the Shinigami and Hollow Raiatsu he even turned into a hollow form in the final battle against Ichigo in Karakura Town.

To understand that metaphor also know the rain washes away everything."Zangetsu" that Ichigo "saw" was actually "Ywach" different Perspectives was the point in this manga very philosophical.much like how people are piecing the puzzle together how individually people are someone you might believe to be like yourself telling you what you "should" think but in reality it's a lie it's a process you have to go through. Never let No one "suggest" what you should think unless you question it yourself "the illusion of reflection on ones self" .in his next encounter with the actual "Zangetsu it was a town not skyscrapers. He was mislead. "Zangetsu was furious with Ichigo". amazing work Tite Kubo 👏💪

There are two ways to look at this. With the symbolism of Ichigo and rain, as well as the symbolism of illusions and reflection (how zangetsu is just yhwach and had lied, yet gave advice to Ichigo instead). It's interesting, yet the first option is much easier to connect with.

this also says something about our inner selves, it changed my view. zangetsu can be seen as those thoughts telling you to do this and that which are for your benefit but we still get clouded by those bad thoughts, that can be seen as the hollow form

After watching this i fully understand why kubo made zangetsu said this. Not because white hates rain but everything bad happens whenever its raining 1: hollow white gets killed by masaki 2: masakis soul gets eaten by grand fisher 3:ichigo almost kills grand fisher but he escapes 4: during first encounter byakuya crushes ichigo and takes away rukia 5:Kaien shiba (ichigos cousin) gets hollowfied and gets stabbed by rukia 6:ginjo betrays ichigo and steals his fullbring 7:old man Yamamoto gets cut in half by yhwach 8:ichigo arrives in soul society and his fullbring zanpaktou gets shattered by haschwalth jugram

I wonder if using Auswalen his first time is why he hates it… the lifeforce of his comrades probably was the last thing he wanted to use to win the 1st time he fought Yama n them way back.
