Better gameplay. The universal overhead was replaced with a guardbreak, and they gave us more options in general. More characters, better net code. Period.
Guess I'm saying that every comment, but as someone who has played the gacha for years, there is something that makes me happy to see one of my favorite streamers just enjoying the Granblue world.
This is the only fighting game I'm actually enjoying a lot, I'm terrible at fighting game inputs and this game has both simple and traditional inputs without you actually having to choose, plus the characters look awesome.
Yep, not to mention the fact you don't get punished that hard, losing 10% damage is an alright deal for most people imo. This game really enables you to not only make good use of your combos but also it lets you learn new characters without fearing the difficult inputs. I honestly hope that more fighting games will do something similar. It does seem to be the case with Project L (the LoL fighting game) so I'm hoping more games will follow.
@@Tachiiiiii I think it's only removed during combos. If you do the move through easy inputs as opposed to the regular input you'll see there's a difference.
That last fight, the other player was using the helmet skin, which is a DIRECT reference to Guts' Berserk armor from Berserk. Even the red eye slits are similar, including the design of the helm makes Sig appear to have dog ears, which alludes to the only other fighting game character of the same name; Sig/Nightmare from the Soul series fighting games is absolutely a reference to Guts from Berserk; They both, Sig from Soul Calibur & Guts, kill their own dad, & both struggle with blood-lust consuming them. In fact, in SC2, Nightmare & Sig are the same character & his armor looks like he has dog ears on his helmet as well. Pretty cool
This game is honestly my new favorite fighting game, it could be because it’s new and I’m bored of sf6 but I honestly enjoy this game way more than sf6.
It's been the opposite for me cuz ngl SF6 still has me try to push on the game even after a bad session With this game I feel like I'm struggling to get people to open up so that's been frustrating on my end.

with vanilla you mean the first game? i spent so much on that game and regret it, this one (you can always try the free version on ps4-5) for some reason is so much better
5:40 that's actually not a low damage combo , it's quite the chunky one , but since Ladiva has like i believe the highest health pool in the game at around 18k , it seems low.
Man every time I watch one of these it makes me want to play more, I just wish my game wasn't bugging out on the connection. Can't rematch people which really hampers the enjoyment of it.
A good Siegfried player can be a pain to deal with, as much as people complain about Nier I have more trouble with Sieg and Seoux. But as a Ferry main anyone that rushes you down is terrible lol
As someone who hasn;t played a fighting game since P4 Ultimax, anyone think this is a good game to pick up to hop back into Anime Fighters? And if so, are there any "oddball" playstyle characters in it?
Absolutely, I would say so. I came from strive after a long hiatus and have been enjoying granblue as a permanent replacement. It's easier to grasp compared to others
Depends what you mean by “oddball”. The only “oddball” characters I’d say are Nier, Narmaya and Grimnir. Grimnir and Nier feel like they belong in Blazblue, and Nier literally uses a persona, but she plays more like Shadow Labrys as far as a “puppet” character goes. Vira has an install command grab/super so if you’re into a character that can transform then she’s a fun option. Percival can give himself tokens and spends them to power up his special moves. Avatar Belial sacrifices health to cast attacks. Grimnir can place seals around the arena(think Dr. strange from UmVC3) and can command dash if he’s on top of a seal. Narmaya is the games premiere stance switcher. Other than that, not sure who else is gimmicky or odd.
There isnt ant ultra weird characters like Teddy and Faust but Lowain is as close as you get. He is VERY WEIRD and not as rush down as Teddy can, leaning on the zoning but he is very funny and the only character who can consistently heal. Which lead to shenanigans.

I'm trying to get into fighting games and I got myself an arcade stick. What's better for this game, a controller or a stick ? I got the stick for Tekken but want to use it for SF6 as well. Any advice for someone starting on a stick ?
Probably should have gone with just a controller before investing in a stick right away if you're just starting out. This game feels great on a controller due to the simple inputs, but it's mostly just preference nowadays
This game feels specially nice on pad because you don't have to do motion inputs, so I play it on pad instead of hitbox sometimes. Stick is definitely fine, though. There is a free version with 4 characters, so you should probably try it and see how it feels.
@eduardoserpa1682 I already purchased the full version as I know I love fighting games and have a good understanding of how the work (Frame data, Frame traps, throw techs, footsies, pressure eg.) I just am in the early stages of combo strings and nailing the inputs
@superluismigueL100 I got a stick mostly for tekken as I found it harder on a controller with some inputs, I love fighting games I'm just not great at them and have found that the stick has helped me with the input motions as pad was a bit tricky with the small stick as I have big hands
The rollback feel really good and stable 95% of the time, but it can chug a bit when the opponent is playing on a very old PC. Even then, it feels a bit better than Strive in that regard.
I'm not sure if this is in bad taste or not, but i feel like the mod wouldve hit 20x's harder if Benny was in that flashback photo or having it include everyone in the yovideogames crew+Benny That aside awesome mod fitting for our road warrior
Nothing to do with the game but was watching Max's latest stream and a certain individual showed up in the chat that 6arakin loser he's someone who dosen't need to be on Max's streams we don't need his toxicness there and sure as hell he needs to stay away from granblue or tekken.
