It is wonderful to know that one my favourite hymn, I have decided to follow Jesus, originated in the hills of Nagaland. Having born and brought up in a Hindu family in a remote village of Nepal, I landed up in Calcutta to study engineering. There I faced an identity crisis not knowing what life is. Not understanding life, life became meaningless to me and I I saw no reason to live. Lost interest in study and reached a point where I almost wanted to end my life. That is when a student from Nagaland, who was living in the same hostel, took me to Church where I met Jesus who saved me and gave me new life 50 yeas ago. I completed my engineering study, came back to Nepal, led all my family members to Jesus, taught in university for 23 years, became Head of the engineering college where I taught, founded a church, pastored for 31 years, served as Member of the National Human Rights Commission of Nepal for six years, and continue to declare the wonderful and mighty works of the Lord among the people of Nepal, in the capacity of President of Nepal Intellectuals Forum( a Think-Tank ) and President of the National Council of Churches. Hallelujah ! Praise the name of Jesus. KNOW JESUS KNOW LIFE, NO JESUS NO LIFE.
It is not originated in the nagaland It was written by Late Pastor Simon K.Marak from Baroigoan,Assam So it was basically originated from Assam And I'm proud of it because I'm from that village
Jim Sangma, Nokseng was not from Garo Hills. He was from Assam. Assamese Garo, became Christian first before Garos of Garo Hills. Of course, then it was undivided Assam, but Nokseng's village situates at current boarder of Assam.
