It's 4 am on 12/29 and after a long day of work while trying to set the alarm I accidentally opened YT and the algorithm brought me to your channel. Instantly hooked and in love with your storytelling.🤔😊
i love this sm! I've been able to get to know how to recognize true vintage pieces and i just love the stories you tell while showing us all the beautiful clothes and accessories!
I love watching you be excited about all these pieces and discovering some of them anew! I was a costume designer for two musicals that took place between the 1930s and 1960s, so I keep seeing all these perfect little pieces and thinking about where they would go in my costume closet and how I would style them!!
Truthfully with that much stuff it's smart to move it on to new homes, that much stuff is a moth's delight. I thought my collection of 25ish suits and 60 pairs of shoes was out of control. ;) When the collection gets too big you can't care for it all and you end up losing historically important pieces. My friend had a pair of very rare Yema Florsheim loafers, didn't touch them for 4 years, when he had passed them on to me they cracked on the first ware (even after I conditioned them) because the shell cordovan was too dry. I hope to check out your auction. For the mens stuff please include for the jackets and shirts pit to pit, shoulder to shoulder, chest and length measurements. For trousers waist, how much material is extra in the waist, rise and inseam. Thanks for the video.
I wouldn’t want to sell any of it but I can see how some items just aren’t so fun and you have to have fun and if you don’t wear them let somebody else.
I was wondering if someone could help me. I don't have access to thrift stores around me (I'm disabled and don't have someone to drive me around). I really want a really nice pill box purse, think I Love Lucy and Jackie Kennedy-esque. Does anyone know where online I could look? I already looked on Poshmark and didn't really find anything and will look on Ebay. But if anyone has any ideas I'll really appreciate them. Thanks in advance!
