These connectors never work that well when used as intended because the piece that you tighten up never real grips the hose.

Looks like the hose is made of very thin material, so making it thicker like this will definitely work . Or just buy a hose made of thicker material next time. Will cost a bit more but will last a lot longer and you won't have this problem either.

@@peadaroloughlin3270 It's not the hose, the problem is the cheap connectors that usually come with the hose. Any decent brands are OK, like everything else you gets what you pays for 😊.

Garden hose is 1 size the fittings are 1 size the reason it leaks is either the hose is not pushed far enough in the fitting or the fitting isn't tight enough or you bought a seriously cheap fitting

The real answer is to only use quality fittings. There are a multitude of cheap (Chinese/) alternatives out there and they give nothing but trouble. I have never had a problem with any of the quality brand name fittings.

One word ( maybe 2 ) Hozelock. Yes it costs more, but trust me they last so much longer & the connections / hose is much better fit / quality. Daniel.

Never had leaking issues from that end of a hoselock part, even these cheap ones from B&M. It's always the connection between the part and the sprayer that fails!

Ce modèle de tuyau nécessite effectivement un doublage de la partie à connecter au raccord et la solution montrée pour doubler ce diamètre est valable, mais il y existe un type de tuyau dont le diamètre est parfaitement adapté. D'autre part le tuyau présenté n'est pas un modèle très résistant sur la durée.

Whenever I've needed to connect my hose to a connector, I've always had to warm the end of the hose so it stretches over the tube. Your connector is obviously too small!!!

Tres cosas : hay acoples para distintos tamaños de mangueras, la maneta del grifo la tienes al revés con lo que te puedes pillar los dedos y la tercera hazte un soporte para colgar la manguera, después ponte a inventar.

effectivement au bout d'un moment il peut y avoir des fuites,la qualité du plastique du tuyau et des raccords ainsi que vieillissement de ceux ci au fil du temps ,chaleur froid ,gèle...tout ces facteurs font que les fuites sont inévitables.Normalement vous ne devriez pas faire ce rajout de tuyau car dans tout les cas les griffes de vos raccords vont se dilater et casser du fait d'avoir forcer le vissage et par la vétusté des matériaux plus ou moins résistante dans le temps.Les raccords en laiton sont bien plus cher mais il dure bien plus longtemps..Mais si cela vous conviens...bien cordialement Répondre

Sorry but think twice about what you write ... you have to buy tape and roll it a lot around the hose, may be need sseveral attempots to get the right thickness ... sooo what is really quicker ? Just use a scissor to cut a piece of the hose to fit it ...thats all !
