"Windsurfing is the most fun when you do it together with others" I agree 100%. I've had the itch to do more windsurfing lately and try to make new sailing friends. I started windsurfing with my father when I was 8 and soon after my mom joined because she was jealous we were always off windsurfing somewhere. Once I became an "adult" I kind of put it all on the back-burner but recently I kept having dreams about windsurfing and realized how much I missed it so I grabbed all my gear from their house and have been getting back out there and I must say I feel at peace with the world again. Plus that workout after a full day of sailing - you can't beat it! Congratulations on making your dream come true, I'm ready to make the trip! Well, once it stops snowing of course.

I started on a Windsurfer original. Teak boom, soft sail, soft mast, soft fin... everything was soft! But it was sooo fun! I think windsurfer LT is an important step to make windsurfing grow 🤙 Keep up the good job!

Congrats. Great project and great spirit. In my humble opinion, to make windsurf popular again, brands should make inflatable beginners boards that can take you to intermediate first planning level. No one wants to carry all this mess around unless you’re already addicted to planning like we are. And intermediate freeride kits should be half the price than what it is now and less easy to break. I remember my old tiga and bic boards didn’t even need a board bag cause they would not crack when you hit them on the parking lot. The new carbon equipment is fantastic but soooo expensive and fragile. My friends can not believe when I tell them the full windsurfing kit for most guys is between 10 and 15k if you have two boards and 5-6 sails to cover most conditions. Anyway now that you have a hand on starboard management, that’s my humble opinion. Best of luck man. Keep the spirit.

Nico - thought I'd share something I've been doing when I go windsurfing - I'm out 2-3 times a week here in Sarasota, Florida. Once or twice a month I take my "wind-indicator" post (PVC pipe section inserted into an umbrella stand) so I can set up my GoPro (for beachside footage), my wind sock, and my ***Taste of Windsurfing*** sign. The taste of windsurfing is a land based 20-25minute lesson. I simply detach my rig and attach it to a small plywood base and I teach anyone interested; the parts of the rig - about the wind line and points of sail, concave vs convex airfoil shapes, how tacking works to go upwind, how to stand the rig upright (rotate mast perpendicular to wind line and push upward above the base), the neutral position and rig weather-vaning, how to balance the rig (position Center of Mass over base - so they can release, clap, clap/clap, 360 spin, etc.), stepping into the power position, sheeting in (slightly WHILE BALANCING the rig). They LOVE it! I wish EVERYONE who windsurfs would attempt to get others involved...

Your videos got me into windsurfing. I'm in Canada so I don't have cheap access to brands like Starboard and JP, but I got the Viper 85 clone by Goya and a used Slalom sail and started learning. Upgraded to an Ezzy Cheetah for this summer and bought a harness. Would love to support your store, but unfortunately I'm across the Atlantic!
