This, I think, is what happens when a trail system has had YEARS of develpoment... Some nessesary, because of errosion and what not, and some... Well... Just because... It - over time - morphs into a kind of "dream world"... Where ideas and improvments are continually added until you end up with something like this... Nice work Daren... And a great series of "breaking up" Pfeiferer into videos that aren't just Trail A and Trail B... :D

Cheers Phil. It seems that it is much easier for the local trail association to design, build and update trails in Canada than many places here in Europe, and this is the result!

Vancouver Island looks so cool🤩, so many wooden bridges, that was a lot of work to build. Fantastic this place, the forest and the landscape is stunning. Awesome trail and awesome ride guys and girls. I would love these trails, only the Skynnis I would not celebrate so much😂. Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work. Ride on mate✌

Thanks Christoph. I was also really impressed by the amount of work they have put in to building all of those wooden features.

Agreed! You were on fire that day - both up and downhill.

Great trail with all the wooden raised lines ..... you did miss a few small kickers on the way. The Canadian landscape is amazing 😍

Thanks Dave 👍 The trails were definitely top quality. It's just a shame we only had one day there. It's so hard to hit all of the features blind when everything comes up on you so fast.

Great video of some of the trails in my backyard. One of my favorites is Grunt and Grind up to Race Rocks. Next time :) You certainly hits some of the best trails here though. Blockhead to Gravity and Knuckers are real thrillers too!

Thanks. You are very lucky to live there. We certainly had an absolute blast trailforking our way around. Good to know that there’s more to check out for a future visit as well 👍

Mate - SUCH a good video! You managed to really do those trails justice, plus it has loads of funny bits! 🤣 I had been looking forward to that "oh I missed the corner" part on that ladder bridge, haha 🤣 I remember thinking "cool trails" while riding there, but it also sometimes seemed kinda "meh" probably because of the climbing, also at the time I felt like our riding (at least mine) wasn't that good - after seeing this now, I feel in hindsight those trails were absolutely AMAZING! And at least in the video it looks like we had a lot of practice riding BC trails prior to it - I think the riding looks like we all improved, especially speed-wise. Really cool to see! Then again, Alex was definitely in his element, and probably my bike was also a little more at home there than it was on a Whistler Bikepark DH track 😄 Btw at first I was a little confused about the Jay POV bits, until I remembered we had uploaded some of my footage to your laptop... haha... 😂 P.S. I think this was just day 1 on VI, right?

Thanks Jay. You're right it was a tough day with all the climbing, but the trails really were amazing. I don't think Alex could have asked for a better birthday! I just stumbled across the footage from you, and it seemed fitting to add those couple of shots for extra context. The next vid from Nanaimo should be coming soon. I just have to see if I can find enough time to edit it in time for next week.
