You’re so right about the non-profits, at one time the CEO’s for Goodwill and the American Red Cross were making so much money they were laughing all the way to the bank. The Gideons are the only group I know of that are 100% self supportive with all contributions purchasing Bibles. As a former Gideon, I paid my own way to everything and everywhere I went. Wow, some funny and some tough, but all good questions. 1, “25 or 6 to 4” was a song released by the band ‘Chicago’ in 1970. The title is a misnomer and was originally “25 or 26 to 4:00am”. It is about the song writer (Robert Lamm) suffering from writers block and the anxiety it was causing him. He was still up in the wee hours of the morning trying to write a new song for the band. 2, “He’s a Jacobite” means the person referred to is a rebel. This reference comes from the Jocobite rebellion which started on August 19 , 1745. The rebellion was lead by Charles Edward Stuart who was trying to recapture the throne. The movement/rebellion was finally ended in January 1746. Question for next week: If charities need my money so desperately to help whatever cause they are about, How can they afford to send me calendars, address labels, stuffed animals, etc.? You couldn't be more right about #2. 25 or 6 to 4 is a moment in time when the songwriter hit writers block. I found that out when I watched The Flash with Michael Keaton and that Chicago song played in the one scene, I had the same question. Jacobites supported King James in Scotland, just more political b.s..
25 or six or more have no idea what that means😂 I think it’s a good thing that people give to charity whether it be animal or human, but I don’t believe that nonprofits should be making that kind of money that seems very unusual and strange. But it does make me sad to see other human beings will walk over another human being on the streets and show absolutely no humanity which really does suck. @Deendougretired The bank stole our house and we decided to go off grid! Everything we own is paid for the land, RV's is all owned and don't have any payments cept the phone, ect! Only payment is our truck and we're close to having that paid off! They can't steal if you don't owe anything on it! The bank story is a long one, we'll talk about it someday with you! God bless
