@@Jothun i havent had the chance to play act 2, yet but act 1 for me had it's enjoyable moments like the arena stuff was really good! I am looking forward to act 2 as I want some questions answering haha but overall was a good experience! Glad your enjoying it so far!
4:35 to answer your question, no, while yes there arent any people from Natlan in other nation we've never been told that people from other nations cant go in there, in fact as early as Inazuma we got npcs saying how theyve been visiting natlan

For why ancient names bearer are not the only ones participating : it's like in Fontaine where more energy was produces the more people believed in justice and the oratrice during trials. In Natlan the more people go to gain honors, the more fuel to the sacred fire. At least, I understood it like that.
I think why ordinary ppl participates in the pilgrimage is for the honor, since it is their duty and it is a great honor to actually defend their tribes and nation despite not bearing any ancient name. Its kinda like their values or tradition to do so, so probably why they participates
The way the ode of resurrection works is that like Mualani’s example said if 5 ppl are sent and 4 die, it takes only one person to return to revive everyone else. The Ancient Names are only destroyed when all of them are defeated. It’s a team victory and defeat that decides whether they revive or their ancient names get destroyed
This quest really was so much fun Also I don’t believe they said anything about Natlan being closed off, we got npcs who’ve stated they’ve been to natlan since inazuma came out, just no NPCs from natlan itself

It was mainly complete information blackout about Natlan. I think there was one NPC that mentioned the hot springs and that it was a nice trip. And that was confusing to most people who assumed it was a war torn volcanic wasteland. But really we knew next to nothing about anything.
For your question, if the team all die, they actually die with their ancient name. But if one of the team can survive, they all survive and no ancient name destroyed.

Feel that I need to comment on this nation since it resonates so much with how things are similar to here (I'm from south america btw) but I gonna share my thoughts only after you finish Act 2! I see no one mentioned this yet and maybe you've figured it out by now lol, but I'm pretty sure the reason there's no voice acting for the part with the Saurian because it's a world quest that starts basically at the same time as the Archon quest
IM RLLYY happy with natlans introduction quests, they didnt mess them up this time imo. the pacing is actually decent and there is no dragging the dialogue and going on unnecessary tangents. personally i am not a fan of child characters either (except for nahida) but kachina won me over absolutely cannot wait to see your reaction for act 2 !!!

I absolutely looooove the voice acting for Paimon and Bobby. I would 100% hire Georgie to be a VA in Genshin. Would it be too Farfetched to ask you to do Paimon's voice too from now on ? xD
