Lok's style of reviewing seems to focus on what it's like to actually use a piece of gear. I find that more useful than a review that basically focuses on the gear's feature list.

This is better for travel vlogging because it won't drain a phone's battery but is not so big like a regular ILC that may be banned in a lot of small places.

I saw another reviewer said that the standard profile is much better than D log. Also he showed that you can set face tracking to the left or right side.

D-log is fine but the DJI lut makes it hard to get the mids exposed. It's best to grade with color curves or log wheels (not color wheels) and skip the DJI lut.

I am very impressed with my DJI Pocket 3, quality is I think much better than all phones, not just because of the sensor size! Built in wireless mic receiver is awesome and today such great news DJI release Mic 2 so we can buy a second transmitter for just €89, great price!! I really need the second Mic2 for interviewing people. Stuff I want DJI to improve in software, more options for face tracking, for example keep subject in my favorite framing area and not be so strict on tracking face (choose percentage of stickiness for face tracking..) and implement AI or stuff to deactivate face tracking as soon as I try to focus on object then back to face. Also I really want a solution for redundant recording, if possible with a new SSD+Battery handle that would be great, to record to 512GB microSD + 512GB SSD handle+battery, that would make me feel less stressed. I cannot have important footage deleted with potential MicroSD card failure/broken/lost. Prrhaps a grip eith a second MicroSD card slot would be nice! I'd also like a new Livestreaming grip, with dual SIM Card slots and Bonding two 5G carriers simultaneously when livestreaming up to 4K60 while internal dual storage recording!!

Totally right on the up and down bopping, I see it so often on amateurs and newcomers shooting with gimbals and it's weird because they don't notice it until you point it out.

I think the main reason to get this is so you have something to shot when you need your phone for other phone things also. If Vlogging is your business, or RU-vid video making in general, you need many options as a safe guard. This is a good option. I would want this, another action cam and a good video phone also. The mic 2 is great for switching devices with the Bluetooth and will keep it consistent with the same sound in these formats. then with you proper cameras which you bring out when things are planned and thought out.

Don't want to keep your face always in the center of the screen? Just use the joystick to move away! It will track you at that spot afterwards!

Thought they would have engineered the bobbing out through software now . The original Osmo had the Z axis attachment to combat it , in the end you had a mini steady cam

The size matters alot. Compared to a phone, DJI Osmo Pocket 3 can fit into a tiny corner. The bigger issue is the durability of the gimbal.

Keep in mind. The Gimble is very vulnerable. I had to return my P3 twice breaks quickly. So sticking with the Action 4

I like my ZV-E1, it’s a real all rounder and amazing in low light, small with good stabilisation. But I’m getting regular hot pixels on it.😡

@@Berdyugin just run pixel mapping very regularly particularly when you know you’ll be shooting in very dark environments at high ISO when they really show, and after a plane flight. It does run on about every 5 startups anyway but you can run it manually.

Hey Lok... have read the rave reviews about this product. The image quality is excellent, low light is excellent. But honestly, your perspective and comparison has changed my view on this product. I still think it's very good but as you said... it isn't as easy as other reviews have made it out to be. Side by side, the bobbing motion is distracting compared to the GoPro/iPhone's (started to notice it a lot after you pointed it out). The IQ off course is a step ahead in day light and blows the other 2 out of the water later on in the day. I still think having a Pocket/GoPro is the best way to vlog. Beats holding a huge camera and beats vlogging with your phone (no battery loss, also your phone is way more valuable than a GoPro - you don't want to drop it or get it stolen!)

I don't think the face tracking on selfie mode is great but put it on a support allows you to get back a few meters and have it track you - I don't think the speed you set in general gimbal follow works in selfie or subject tracking - it tends to snap pan too fast rather than having a slightly slower pan.

I still love my Osmo Pocket 1's, I sold my Osmo Pocket 2 because of the wide angle lens (and worse tracking) and will not go for the 3 as it's not that small anymore.

I really enjoyed the original Osmo, especially after adding the Z axis spring arm. But the Pocket was disappointing…very much a consumer item, and not on par with our GoPro.

The gimble is good if you do very basic shots but if you want to quickly look at random things it starts wanting to do it's own thing... that is a negative. Another negative is that the tracking follows every single movement of yours instead of moving when you move a good amount out of the point you set.. so it moves too much. That last one and maybe the first could be fixed with a update and extra modes available or control settings.

It is pretty annoying when a blogger gives a hands on review without learning the basic features of the product. He makes a big thing about the problem of his face is always in the middle of the frame when in selfie face-track. It is the simplest thing to move your face just by using the joystick. You can place your face anywhere , top left, bottom right - just where it suits a particular shot. Just spend time learning the product rather than putting off potential buyers with false objections.

@@redesignedlife777 I like Lok but it's a weird take given that the Pocket 3 is pretty universally praised as a game changer in the vlog space. His complaints fall in the didn't read the instruction manual or just odd like using a mini gimbal device and then complaining about gimbals. Hate to say it but it's just a lazy or rushed video.

Sorry but this guy doesn’t really get it at all. Also using auto for night time is a bit crap, at least try to use it properly. I do think it has its place, but only for certain things. It works well and is incredibly handy.
